    Hi. I just came across this video and I’m blown away! You have done so well and the whole concept of blind weigh ins is totally new to me. As an actual blind member, it made me smile and I so admire your fortitude and consistent choice to ‘just keep going’. I too love this plan. It gives me such freedom to live without food addiction and crazy disordered behaviour. I currently have a weight loss which totals just short of 13 stone and I weighed in today at 9 st 5.6 lbs. You are an inspirational speaker and as I don’t do IG, I had not come across your story before. I hope that today 26 09 20 you are still in your positive place. Thanks for sharing your journey to a 6 st loss which cannot fail to inspire and motivate anyone who finds it as I did. Cheers Jane xx

    What an inspiring video! I’m just about to begin my SW journey for a 2nd time. I lost 2.5 stone 4 years ago but gained 3.5 stone back after suffering a couple of major life setbacks. I have FINALLY found the gumption to get back to SW but was looking for a different approach to it. I love your mindset and overall approach to the plan. My meal planner has arrived and I’m ready to go! My friend and I always used the term “Fail to prepare…..prepare to fail” when we were asked for advice on SW. Preparation is definitely the key to success ☝🏻 I hope you’re doing well in your journey wherever it finds you 💕

    Update since 5 years- Hi huni revisiting this video as I go on a big holiday abroad in 5 years when I posted here with my 9yr old son in a few months. I did lose my 5stone in April 2020 lockdown and kept it off for 3 years and now after being at target getting lower is not easy as the mindset and eating is very different but I'm giving myself a break as had massive cravings recently as star week must be looming..so gonna watch this for inspiration as I go for another stone and maybe and extra half in 3 months. A stone will take me to my 6 stone award...wow would be amazing 🎉 I deserve this and ready to stick to it 😊

    Hi, Lauren I've just rejoined SW again after 4ys and this video is outstanding, a grown up, sensible conversation. I loved it. I doubt my consultant would agree to blind weigh in, but when I left last time I was fed-up going to group for many reasons so I'm drawing a line in the sand this time. Hope you are well and doing OK. 💐

    Interesting. So far I've lost 4 stone on SW. I don't do blind weigh ins in your sense, but I do them in the sense that I don't actually know how much I weigh.

    I bought a planner after seeing yours and it makes SUCH a difference. I only ever used to plan my tea and wing the rest of the time. Now I plan 21 meals and it's make is much easier to keep my focus if I have a wobble.

    Done. Finding your videos today- I’ve watched the binge eating one as that one seems to be my downfall around star weeks :/ however I have lost 3 stone in 7 months- since 2018 in March now I’ve struggled and not lost as much as I would have like but haven’t gained it all either... I think your videos is what I needed to draw a line today under my unknown sugar addiction which pops up massively for a few weeks in the month plus blind weighing- that’s exactly what I decided I was gonna start doing and only be told when I reach 3.5, 4 stones etc. Thank you so much lovely for your videos and I believe my target of 5 stone is in reach this year sooner than I think.     Hi there so glad I found you along with a few others...sadly my group was not as nice as I thought it would be and so I have retreated into myself but I am hoping to follow a few of you on here for my image therapy.     Hey lovely lady..... can I pls start by saying how amazing you look!! Your just soooo normal and real! So refreshing! May I ask you..... did you mainly stick to three meals a day or did you snack? Did you always keep a food diary or not? Sorry if this is all stuff previously covered but I am new to this and have only just found you! Love and hugs X

      1971gladys thanks for the message. I mainly stick to 3 meals a day. If I do have snacks I have fruit. I don’t keep a food diary but I do plan (using a Princess Planner) and generally stick to that 100%

      Thank you so much for your reply. I am so touched that you took the time to respond. I think I am getting my head around the fact that three meals a day is the way forward. I have been in and off the slimming world wagon for many years but always manages to manipulate the plan to enable me to self sabotage and ultimately fail AGAIN. I am desperate to succeed as I am slowly becoming more and more invisible, and more reclusive, and afraid to see people from my slimmer past. I became seriously unwell and piled on 35 kgs in a year! That was in 2013 and I have been back and forth ever since. So your videos really resonate with me. I want and need to learn how to make life changes and want to learn to make this NOT about the number on the scale, but about getting back to me, a healthier happy version of me. So thank you lovely lady..... your videos help more than perhaps you realise. Kind regards Debi x

      I can’t tell you how much cutting out refined sugar and planning has helped me to combat those patterns. Good luck and you will get there in your own time. X

    You should be proud and I agree planning is important but also following the plan is I sometimes plan and then something happens eg my husband grabs me on my day off to help him at carwash like this week I planned while I was on holiday from my job then before I even have chance to shop I'm asked to help him so no shopping no bread or milk and no microwave at carwash so I'm stuck and I have any days that ruin my planning but my consultant looks at me as if to say excuses excuses she not living my life and doesnt realise how stressed my daily life can get I work 59 hours a week in my own job plus cleaning the house plus hubbies business finances one week I had my bubble burst and been off plan ever since I thought I'm not going to put s figure on my loss and thought I'm happy doing it the same ad Jane gammons so long as I have a loss every week instead of yo yoing I'd be happy until she said but that's not really what you want to see no we all want to see more every week but I left feeling pressured and down and dreading going to group cos I've been off plan ever since she burst my bubble:-(

      MrAP_P I have lost all my weight so far by just changing my diet. I also don’t really enjoy exercise. I am joining a gym now though as I do need to start toning and growing muscle.

    I've seen and followed you insta..well done on you weight loss that's amazing I joined last week and am loving the plan too...but I notice from your picture later you rarely eat rice or pasta and it's free food? Was this a conscious decision and do you think that's why you lost moe weight? So many sw meals with pasta rice potatoes etc.. x

      Nadia B I tend to not have carbs with every meal, usually 1 of the 3 meals a day will have carbs. It’s more because I’d prefer to use the space on my plate for protein and find that although carbs fill me up initially, I don’t keep as satisfied for as long. I do still have carbs though, just a smaller and less significant amount than I used to. I don’t think this is why I lose weight though, you can still lose weight very well by eating carbs.
