Im going to send this to greta

The noise before she starts is the engine oil priming pump
@@UppyJC ah right also what was that alarm sound james as you were turning the engine on?
@@owenslanejunction7544 Fire alarm test
@@UppyJC ah right thank you
And the air quality rapidly declined.......
amazing
STARTED QUICKLY,,BUT IN TWO CYLINDERS,THE OTHERS DOESNT WORK,,,GENERATES CLAG UNTIL THEY BURN THE FUEL. NO FLAMES IN THIS CASE
Injector problem or poor compression?
In these engines, poor compression is a cause too, engines with a lot of years, the mechanics may check the compression in all the cylinders,,,a tolerance of 3% is admissible. sorry my english,,i dont speak anw write many years ago
This a perfectly acceptable cold start for this type of engine - considerably better in fact than a lot of examples of its type.
I have to agree! Almost too good...not enough clag..LOLGregg :-)
These engines do flame on a cold start below 0 due to fuel in the exhausts and oil and soot. I think it’s the turbo you can hear.
Clagtastic!
That musta smelt God-Awful.
Smelt awesome
Just the fuel pump. Sulzer powered locos have them locos have them
