What do you guys think? Do you think that Multiversus's steady improvements will save the game? Or is it too little too late? Let me know what fixes and suggestions you have for the future!
a starter pack of assorted characters for a reasonable price would make the game go from a 77% on Steam to an 85 or more Rifts are either a chore at lower levels or a pain to get 5 stars at Insanity and above, even with a friend playing user-made custom modes would be a good idea, but it's a big risk for PFG, and they'd focus their efforts in fine tuning the game first before adding extra content also the game is missing some heavy hitters like LOTR, Harry Potter and Mortal Kombat, even a Lego rep like the Ninjago heroes, Emet or Unikitty from the Lego Movie, or one of the classic Tau from Bionicle for a more obscure pick
You said only 3 characters were a problem in season 2??? You failed to mention Shaggy, Joker, and Samurai Jack spamming side special for the whole season. They nerfed Jack towards the end of the season and ignored nerfing him for multiple patches simply because he was a battle pass character and they wanted him to be broken…
@@ExoticZah While I do think that Samurai Jack was overtuned during quite a bit of Season 2, during the balance section I meant to specify that it was regarding character strength that the season ended with after ALL of the changes. As season 3 started, Jack now has one of the lowest overall win rates in the entire game and even throughout the time where he was overtuned, he would VERY rarely show up in top 8's of brackets. As far as Joker and Shaggy, I think Shaggy is quite strong, especially so in 1's, but not broken by any means and his stats have shown that as he typically has 1 or 2 top 8 reps in 1's and only occasionally showing up in top 8's for 2's in most tournaments and his overall win rate at roughly 50% the entire season. Pretty well balanced in most all senses. Joker on the other hand.... he basically died after the season 2 mid season patch when they gutted his fish and side special. I still think he's good, don't get me wrong, but the playerbase for the character has fallen off hard and so has his win rate. He's in a MUCH better place after season 2. In regards to the "player1st intentionally making battlepass characters broken." the stats show that Jack has been pretty much the only problematic battlepass character on release. Need I remind you that JASON was the 1st battlepass character. A character that was WIDELY considered bottom 3 by most of the community and still is to some. And while PPG did drop day 1 with a perk that was BEYOND broken, they took it out within a couple hours of Season 3 going live and then proceeded to re-release a fixed version. Outside of that though, although many players had initial reaction of "PPG IS BROKEN!!!!" over time, they too have become one of the lowest win rate characters in the game due to their combination of light weight, bad disadvantage, and large hurtbox. I don't mean to discourage you by pointing all of this out, but I wanna make sure these misconceptions in the community are addressed. I'm open minded to critique of the game and want to make sure the issues that the player base have are being addressed but I also don't want people to go spewing off outdated misinformation just for the sake of jumping on the bandwagon of hating on the game.

PFG needs to just implement the founder's pack system again so new players can just drop a fixed amount of money to own all the characters in the game. Brawlhalla and Smite do this and it works well for those games
I'm actually surprised by how well the game is doing on console. My PPG is in gold V and i'm in 10,000th place on the leaderboard, meaning there's probably close to 20,000 players who have tried ranked this season
Ngl it feels like Season 3 was by far the best season, because it fixed most of the problems I was having with menus, load times, glitches, constant crashing. Heck, I could even play through a Rift for the first time! They even made the first post launch character I was really impressed by!

I do feel like this game is actually much more alive than people like to say it is. Case in point, after playing one ranked match with powerpuff girls I was placed in 16,000th place meaning atleast 16,000 people decided to buy the 10$ battle pass, use the powerpuff girls, and go to play a 2v2 ranked match.

@@Evello37 i missed it by 1, so I now get super annoyed whenever I remember it. Love playing Smith, I have every skin beside Shark Hat and Matrix Code. I hope they bring it back.
Frankly I think they should allow manual teching instead of that automatic tech after two ground bounces. It's so predictable that a lot of players do tech chases after two bounces to continue with the infinites. The devs need to add a priority system in general for all attacks, not just Jabs. The rule of 9% from Smash would be a perfect, not to mention applying it to projectiles since zoning still is incredibly strong in this game as well.
I found out too late that, for a person who doesn't have the intention to pay any amount of money yet in this game, spending my event currency on new fighters was probably a mistake in the long run, but for people who do pay irl money it might be way better this way

For all the praises you've given for the game, I'm very baffled why you never brought up the Starter Character Bundles. You can get 2 characters for $5. Technically 3 characters since it comes with 1000 Gleamium. Overall, this was a very well done video & one of the better MVS video out there

@@RPS_FGC NASB 2 is seriously underrated. Although TBH, that not only emphasizes how unforgiving the fighting game genre is but also how unrelentingly cruel the platform fighter actually is. But there's only 7 of them so including Shaggy & Banana Guard you can only get 23 out of 30 characters. At least as of October
