Seen these products scrolling through SportsbikeShop online, actually assumed it was their own brand, maybe because of the colouring. Hadn't a clue they were German and worked effortlessly. Your video and attitude is convincing!
wow I'm super impressed. as someone who loves detailing and clean cars and bikes. this video was so pleasing. loved it. hope I can get this product in the states
If you're really into detailing then you'll still want to get stuck in there to get that real showroom finish but there's no doubt these would make your life easier!
Niiiice. I’ve just got myself a 5l bottle of s doc and a pressure sprayer. Think my bike will still need the dirt agitating but can’t wait to get to work.
Sold!! I already use that lube chain, it works really nice. Man, all that shining result with out scrubbing? You convinced me!!! Thanks for sharing.. R.i.P. \m/ Ride in peace
I was super impressed dude, yeah. The bike isn't completely immaculate though - there are still some parts that really needed some brush-action! Considering I didn't though, it looks ace.
Great video! Camera work was gorgeous. I am making room in my garage for a 2014 str. I throughly enjoyed your overview. I recently purchased a Bobber. Which I absolutely love. I'm looking for a bit of a different ride and think this may do the job nicely. Thanks again.....I'm keeping the Bobber of course!
Can confirm this bike looked brand new when I saw it in person mid test.. it's insanely good and will be getting some for the spring clean ^_^ and the quality of your videos sir smo are just getting better and better.. keep it up!
I'll be ordering some of those products tomorrow, my Street Triple R has got so much fade going on and it's been garaged all it's life! You need to give your chain a good going over to, few stiff links in it. Hopefully it can be saved and not need replacing.
I have been using the products regularly and it really helps with the tedious cleaning. What you should also try is the S100 Gloss and Wax Spray after the color refresher! Amazing results!
As always man, great video, nice to see different products and people actually using them. Use pretty much all muc-off ATM and have done for years! But certainly going to this stuff a go!
I tried sdoc100 cleaner before, other than the price it done a pretty good job. Certainly needed a pressure washer for it though and needed to agitate a few areas...
Sdoc stuff is great, bike is looking nice and clean, looks like you have a few tight links in your chain tho might need soaking to try and free them up
I used to use the Sdoc gel cleaner, but I decided that I could get the same results by using cheaper products and just putting a bit of elbow grease in - it's almost twice the price of other bike cleaning sprays, and it wasn't twice as effective (in my opinion) I used the Sdoc chain cleaning spray last week and must say that it did a great job of rejuvenating the chain (better than some cheaper ones I've used). I used a grunge brush to scrub the chain after the gel had been sitting for about ten minutes too, as it was pretty mucky. I bought it ages ago, so don't remember how much it cost, but I'm guessing it was more than a normal chain cleaner!
Cool video. Liked the plastic refresher especially. But i wouldn't touch my chain with anything but kerosene and water to clean though. Guess it's a personal preference. Not trying to start the all time troll forum subject WD40 or Kerosene...
It would be nice if this product sells in the Asia region, because we had the rainiest season nearly half the year. So our motorcycle always tends to get dirty and it's getting much harder for us to cleaning the motorcycle. Not to mention it's hard to find a good product like this.
liked the video mate, I've always had sports bikes with fairings (r3/daytona) but I'm waiting on delivery of a street triple now and was wondering if my old method of bike cleaning (garage powerwash) needed modifying!
I park on the street and don't have access to a hose. What do you advise for me? I've tried the bucket and sponge method and it wasn't amazing, was a tonne of effort and I don't plan on trying it again. That gel cleaner looks really handy, but what do I do about not having a hose?
@@Typhon219 thank you :) At the moment I'm using a standard air compressor and a cloth but I will look for one of those things. I've seen some automotive specific ones but they are sold for stellar prices...
i really enjoyed this vid mate ! im sure im not the only one thinking you should take over top gear buddy much more entertaining ! i have shir load of acf50 amd other corrosion preventer sprays if its good enough for a jumbo jet its be reet for a bike ! care for some ?
Just to be clear. You did not touch the bike with a brush, a scrubber, a towel, buffing cloth or anything other than wiping the chain? It was only spraying on the product and rinsing it off? No other physical contact of any kind?
I'm curious about this too ... I've never been able to clean a bike without a cloth/brush. Looks clean when wet, but as soon as it dries, the dust sticks around.
Well, that's where you go wrong. Cleaning a bike IS fun, if you let it to be fun. My bikes are daily drivers (except for ice and snow). They do the daily commute, so they get dirty. For ages I clean my bikes with polishing oil, brake cleaner and top class wax. Never, never water. Products are fairly cheap and they work excellent. One of my bikes is naked, takes me about 3 - 4 hours to clean it. And then it is really clean. I do this each week if the bike has been used that week...
Damn boi, bike looks like you scrubbed it with a toothbrush and hell of a lot of elbow grease! Having the cleaning product for the wheels alone would be worth it, but hell, who doesn't want a clean engine as well. My Dorsoduro could use some of that! Also that over spray catcher is a dream come true! I must get one....
The plastics and the other parts have not faded, the whitish depositions are due to the fact that you may be using hard water to clean your bike. Its happened to me and i was pulling my hair till i realised whats really going on. Hard water washes should be accompanied by thorough blow drying so as to prevent the water from drying off in its place leaving the stains which under the heat of the bike harden and form a permanent hard thin white layer.
The paint refresher you have used is much similar to WD40 as what some other person has commented to, and it is an emulsion (oil + water) thats all. The stains become translucent and lose colour, try putting a drop of cooking oil in salt, see how it goes from pure white to kinda a translucent colour.
The key component being oil, WD40 has got aerosols instead of water base, to cement my theory i am sure the paint refresher can mentions "do not apply on braking surfaces"
It gets all the dirt of off that it attracts that could potentially damage it, obviously you lube it up again. It also helps against rust not good on a chain, you don't want it snapping on you.
Dirt sticks to lube. With enough dirt the lube becomes a corrosive paste which literally grinds the chain down (think about wet sand and how it feels). You need to clean that crap off reasonably often (every few hundred miles or so) and reapply the lube to keep the chain happy (and safe).
Hello mate, check out my video of how I clean my bike. It is not indepth as I also sometimes use WD40 as a degreaser first and I did not show cleaning wheels, dressing tyres, cleaning and lubing the chain or putting ACF-50 on, that only usually needs doing once a year but I use it on bare metal after most washes.
I need a product that contains only one component and is nearly for free. Just push a button once and in a general direction of the bike and ready. But under grime the paint doesn't discolor. Hence my lack of a shiny shine bike :) Ride the wheels off, not polish the paint off! Nice video, lemme think about it.
There are SELF CLEANING ovens for sale!! Why no self cleaning bike? The kids solution will take too long. Another 7 years of hardly a shiny bike. So once in a while I'll grab a little water and a lot of beer and clean everything out. But your plan... I should have realized that 10 years back.
thing with WD is that it dissolves everything, I think something like gunk or a specialised WD that leaves a thin layer of oil behind after dissolving the grease would be better to keep a layer between the metal and grime between washing
Kerosine ie parrafin base in WD40 an that's been a cleaner for years. Great on chains and front sprokets where the muck accumulates. Automatic transmission fluid on the chain, kid you not.
i just tested it on my channel the S100 gel cleaner spray...it is super expensive and on a trail or naked it is NOT worse it..it took me ALL the spray and I couldn't even spray all the bits of the bike and it does NOT clean even waiting for more than 30 minutes UNLESS you are used to clean your bike several times per month. I wouldn't buy it unless you have small dirt or to just apply it on SMALL difficult areas!!
Interesting! Looks like it's a product much more suited to road bikes then (which in comparison are usually more oily/greasy than actually DIRT-y). Did you set the spray to a fine mist like in the video, or was it literally spraying the stuff out like liquid soap? I know people have made that mistake before and ended up using considerably more than they needed to.
Seen these products scrolling through SportsbikeShop online, actually assumed it was their own brand, maybe because of the colouring. Hadn't a clue they were German and worked effortlessly. Your video and attitude is convincing!
Dude, legit high-five on this video.
Thanks buddy! Loving your WBR series!
Used the cleaner myself last night....hands up, it is awesome stuff!!!

I recently purchased a Bobber. Which I absolutely love. I'm looking for a bit of a different ride and think this may do the job nicely.
Thanks again.....I'm keeping the Bobber of course!
I use sdoc products and tried many different brands over the past ten years and found these to be the best !!!
From what I've seen so far I certainly believe it!
Just bought the lube catcher. No more awkwardly propping up bits of cardboard between the chain and rear tire : D
Cheers dude.
Can confirm this bike looked brand new when I saw it in person mid test.. it's insanely good and will be getting some for the spring clean ^_^ and the quality of your videos sir smo are just getting better and better.. keep it up!
Thanks Pands
I bought these products based on this video. I'm really impressed so far. Alex
Great use of the slider to make a great vid! Can't believe you didn't offer a give-a-away to us poor riders in Norway. Share the love SMO!
I would have loved to mate but I didn't have the means to!
I'll be ordering some of those products tomorrow, my Street Triple R has got so much fade going on and it's been garaged all it's life!
You need to give your chain a good going over to, few stiff links in it. Hopefully it can be saved and not need replacing.
Yeah dude, I saw those! Thanks for the heads up =)
I'm heading to a local reseller of this stuff to buy some tomorrow. Gel & Colour refresh is on my shopping list :D
Gotta let us know how you got on!
Great video, bike is looking mint now...
Cheers buddy!
I have been using the products regularly and it really helps with the tedious cleaning.
What you should also try is the S100 Gloss and Wax Spray after the color refresher! Amazing results!

That colour refresher is amazing
As always man, great video, nice to see different products and people actually using them. Use pretty much all muc-off ATM and have done for years! But certainly going to this stuff a go!
Thanks dude, glad you liked it!
Been using that chain cleaner for a while, good stuff
Yeah dude, it certainly worked well for me!
Love this video! Anytime I want to show someone why I want a triple I show them this 😄
Take my money! I'll be checking their range out for sure!
I was impressed dude, for sure! Especially considering how little effort it took.
best helmet visor wipes and fly and bug remover wipes are tesco no perfume wet wipes at a whopping 49p
wow.. stunning. I must do this to my bike like tomorrow....
BMW recommended Sdoc 100 to me and I love the stuff.
Same dude, I was really impressed!
Is there any similar product to the Colour Refreshner?
Big Difference...Bike Looks Good!
I tried sdoc100 cleaner before, other than the price it done a pretty good job. Certainly needed a pressure washer for it though and needed to agitate a few areas...
Triumphs colour scheme looks sick bro.
Looks almost show room clean. Some good products there.
Sdoc stuff is great, bike is looking nice and clean, looks like you have a few tight links in your chain tho might need soaking to try and free them up
Yeah - I saw those thanks dude. They were taken care of right away - I don't need that!
awesome restore too 👍👍👍
I was suitably impressed!
I used to use the Sdoc gel cleaner, but I decided that I could get the same results by using cheaper products and just putting a bit of elbow grease in - it's almost twice the price of other bike cleaning sprays, and it wasn't twice as effective (in my opinion)

Cool video. Liked the plastic refresher especially. But i wouldn't touch my chain with anything but kerosene and water to clean though. Guess it's a personal preference. Not trying to start the all time troll forum subject WD40 or Kerosene...
Nice! Will be giving this shizzle a try.
It's certainly nice for those of us who'd rather let the product do the work!
What exhaust is that really suits the bike.
It would be nice if this product sells in the Asia region, because we had the rainiest season nearly half the year. So our motorcycle always tends to get dirty and it's getting much harder for us to cleaning the motorcycle. Not to mention it's hard to find a good product like this.
Cool stuff, but i really think my bike is far to gone .. Maybe i`ll try it see what it does to mine.. great video as always man
Unless your bike is actually corroded, these should do just fine! Otherwise you'll need some sturdier stuff for sure.
Lol, there is patches yeah ;) ..
My old bike I used to clean like once a year. The new one I will force myself to clean as often as possible
I can't lie - it feels super good to see your bike looking it's best.
Looks awesome! unfortunately cleaning your bike at home in Germany is practically illegal... I am finding it really hard to keep mine clean!
how come?
Yeah so I've heard! Something to do with washing contaminants into the drainage systems isn't it?
liked the video mate, I've always had sports bikes with fairings (r3/daytona) but I'm waiting on delivery of a street triple now and was wondering if my old method of bike cleaning (garage powerwash) needed modifying!
I'm relatively new to riding also from the island what roads or routes would you recommend?
Middle Road, Cowleaze and the last section of Milly Road between Compton and Freshwater Bay are really the only decent bits of road we have =(
I park on the street and don't have access to a hose. What do you advise for me? I've tried the bucket and sponge method and it wasn't amazing, was a tonne of effort and I don't plan on trying it again. That gel cleaner looks really handy, but what do I do about not having a hose?
Too bad that i can't buy these products where i live. Just a question:how have you dried your bike after you've cleaned it ?
Giacomo Giromini pet hair dryers are brill for this.
@@Typhon219 thank you :) At the moment I'm using a standard air compressor and a cloth but I will look for one of those things. I've seen some automotive specific ones but they are sold for stellar prices...
Looks really nice.
I've got a matte black striple. rekon that spray on wipe off stuff will be fine on my paint?
Yeah buddy, no reason why not!
Funny and well presented video!! But you can't use it on chrome or non varnished aluminium! Oops, forgot to say that! So I'm screwed with my cruiser!
i really enjoyed this vid mate ! im sure im not the only one thinking you should take over top gear buddy much more entertaining ! i have shir load of acf50 amd other corrosion preventer sprays if its good enough for a jumbo jet its be reet for a bike ! care for some ?
What were the lemon and scissors for?
Cam you get water on the handle bars or will that ruin the electronics?
What do you do when you ride in the rain?
lt1eg6 i assume that a yes then
What a fantastic video!!
did you buy online or source locally (IoW)?
Online from motohaus.com dude.
Nice video mate. can you send me the link for your exhaust for your triple.
I buffed off the colour refresher with a lint-free cloth (as per the instructions). Apart from that, I didn't use a thing, no.
Well, that's where you go wrong. Cleaning a bike IS fun, if you let it to be fun. My bikes are daily drivers (except for ice and snow). They do the daily commute, so they get dirty. No ACF50 after that hose down?
Voice overs SMO, you've found your calling. Just do it son! :-)
Time for some bed-time audio books!
Not really sure I want to watch the next video with you wiping your helmet, but these looked to do the job :D
Lies ;)
i need that over spray garde thing in my life
How necessary is cleaning your chain? All you seem to do is remove all the lubing... Can anyone tell me exactly why you should clean the chain?
It gets all the dirt of off that it attracts that could potentially damage it, obviously you lube it up again. It also helps against rust not good on a chain, you don't want it snapping on you.
Dirt sticks to lube. With enough dirt the lube becomes a corrosive paste which literally grinds the chain down (think about wet sand and how it feels). You need to clean that crap off reasonably often (every few hundred miles or so) and reapply the lube to keep the chain happy (and safe).
Welp, you guys sure convinced me, thanks for all the answers..my chain has since been cleaned and is happily shining again :D
amazing video!

well put together content....you would have to be slightly crazy to pay the premium prices though in my humble opinion.

Thanks dude, will do!
Some of your videos, such as this one deserves so many more views. Quality upload SMO
Thanks dude, I really appreciate that.
Very nice vid, subscribed:)
Won't all the water rust the bolts
@ £13 i would say the cleaner is a decent price. paid more for a far worse result and it's ideal as i commute 140 miles a day 👍
Yeah, it's not too bad - the thing is that some people would rather a more manual clean for cheaper. Each to their own!
Smo uploaded a video??? Screw doing my makeup school work!
'Makeup'?
Smo I'm a little behind on school work
excellent vid..zero effort, now that's my kind of cleaning
that does a bloody good job. but surely that costs a fair bit of money?
£60 with shipping for everything but the visor clean stuff but they a £1 a pack.
thats relatively cheap for what your getting really
It's more money than you NEED to spend, definitely - but it's nice to have the job done that easily.
but for the results its completely worth it its not like they're charging you a stupid price for a product that doesn't work efficiently.
$117 to ship just the Total Cleaner to the US :(

Wow!
Is this an ad lol
no lol
Is that a question
that's a 10 on this video
Nah... I prefer some elbow grease and effort in cleaning my bike, instead of doing nothing as you state.
dude ! great product!!! and who are these degenerates that dislike this video? Fuck em!!! thanks for helping me make my mind on a cleaning product

Chain cleaners are such a rip off, buy a big bottle of paraffin at your local b&q for £6 and a spray bottle, will last you a year.
Or that!
It sounds very similar to "if you find sex a pain in the arse you are doing it wrong!" Hmmmm now what could fat fingers be useful for ........
Oh I can think of a few things ;)
No :)
:-( These products don't appear to be available in the rest of the world... :-(
That's interesting - where are you based fella? The US?
Australia. ;-)
Sorry, but I'm confused as to the title of your video and the content, what's the relevance? You don't show how to clean a bike correctly.
