The Lorus Lumibrite Field Watch is one watch that stands out from other watches as it has a rather unique lumibtite face. It also comes at quite a reasonable price. But is it any good? This full review looks at this watch's features and gives an honest down-to-earth assessment.

I bought this watch last week from Argos for £29.99. it brings me joy every time I look at it. The best thing is is that the face/dial takes on so many lovely hues of green depending on the ambient light. It's gorgeous and fun.

I have this watch in my collection of quite a few. I purchased it from Argos for £29,99. Being former military I really enjoy wearing field watches and have several in my watch collection. This is the cheapest I have ever paid but it's definitely a favourite one that I wear very often. I have changed the strap though onto a dark brown leather strap. I have kept the original strap as a spare as I haven't used it. I have also purchased the Lorus Titanium field watches which are really awesome value for money at £69,99, quite a bit more to pay but very well worth it, the only other difference being they only have a date window and only lume on the hands. The canvas webbing strap is also better quality in my opinion and should last a few years. I recently changed the battery on one of the Titanium watches which lasted about 3 years which is not too bad.

They are great watches I've had one for about 18 years and wore it everyday working as a firefighter which saw plenty of water and also swim with it and has never failed me.

Amazing value for money, had mine few days and fallen in love with the cheapest watch I ever owned, apart from Casio plastic work watch.

Just ordered one as a work watch, I collect a lot of seikos and I've been in the market for a field watch to go with my SRPG27 which I love.
The lumibrite dial really sold it for me, the seiko movement etc.
Great value for the dollar.
I feel like after I get this watch I'll end up ordering the titanium model.

Honestly the best watch ever made, for sheer analog functionality. This was the perfect watch for timing contractions while doing labor support. I've had several of it.

@@feastoneseyesongoodies The vivid face stayed light enough to read even after hours, better than if the hands were illuminated. So I didn't have to have anything bright in order to see the time.
I brought this recently from Argos. Ive changed the strap to khaki rubber. Has uplifted the look of the entire watch.

For the money theyre a perfect little beater watch, washing the car,gardening, etc and if for some reason you smah the face or whatever you just go argos and get another lol like the budgie says "cheap cheap".

I have only seen one made by Timex with a black case which is made of resin plastic. The Timex is larger and more expensive than this Lorus and the water resistance isn't as good. This Lorus is much better value for money and you can't go wrong with it. Lorus is a subsidiary company of the Seiko group so it is of better quality and accuracy and has excellent 100M water resistance everything that you need for a field watch.
The new ones seem to have a snap on case back 😔
