I've seen an updated video of the lady that did all those ear piercings herself, she got a lot of feedback and actually took it to heart, she took out like half of them and replaced the jewelry for more simple ones and has started to clean them properly and they look a lot more healthy, still definitely would never suggest doing that but I'm glad to see she actually started taking care of them so her ear doesnt just rot off lol

I fully agree it's not ageist to call out other grown ass adults for putting dangerous content online, especially when it's presented as a tutorial. It's bad enough when people think they have no responsibility as long as they say "don't try this at home", but it's infuriating when they actually _encourage_ other people to do it. They give a demonstration to kids on how to do something dangerous while acting like it's just a casual, fun, easy activity. I don't understand why platforms continue to allow content that causes direct harm. They put so much fucking effort into "protecting" people from swear words.
This day just keeps getting better. I got some sorta work related stuff done earlier and got to watch new videos from Luxeria (feat. Roly) and Shaaba, and now there’s a new Roly video too! Amazing. Such a nice day
I got my industrial piercing last year and I have the right ear for it but when I tell you it BLED sooo much! I didn’t even know my ear was capable of bleeding that much.
Wonder how soon I'd get a bingo with 'dirty nails', 'too many piercings at once', 'piercings in inadvisable places', 'infected piercings' and 'piercings being rejected and hanging by a small thread' in this video....
@@RolyWestYT I literally almost did die from how I felt 😭 but somehow a single coffee kept my energy up all day. I even felt more energetic than usual today despite not even napping??? Clearly the video did most of the heavy lifting
I know a piercer that custom makes the industrial earing to fit the ear. it bends the bar to fit it. I think it's awesome if someone really wants that look. The bad thing is that you can't just buy any bar you want because it's cute.
I don’t understand how you don’t have a million followers Roly. Love to you from Australia. I only found your channel recently, so happy you have so much content I can catch up on! Love to Luxeria and Mr Biscuits too ❤

17:00 I got my industrial pierced several months ago and had to take it out within a week because I was getting keloids. Thankfully there are small enough and not noticeable. But I will never be getting it done again
13:15 Lmao I kid you not, as I was watching this I had some food in the oven and the plate at the bottom that turns has been having some issues. So occasionally it makes a loud metal friction noise, which synced with her slow pushing and Roly complaining- it was the perfect sound effect 😂
So i have quite a few chronic health conditions. One makes it so i have to have a 24/7 infusion. I have to do sterile procedures very often and these people carelessly risking infection is terrifying. I have had multiple blood stream infections including one that landed me on a ventilator in a coma for a week. Don’t take the chance.
Hello Roly! Love you!! I had to have hand surgery and needed to remove all my jewelery prior and I would not be able to put the jewelry back for some time. I used thread to keep all my piercings open I had no problem with the piercing trying to heal to the thread. At that time my newest piercing was over a year old. I also was able to put the same jewelry in after recovery, no shrinkage 😉. Why it has become a trend however is beyond me!
Roly, let me explain how proud I am to have found your channel years ago to learn so much information about proper piercing etiquette. I look at my piercings everyday and smile at the simple fact im not as ignorant as the majority of crazies on the internet destroying thier bodies. It is always important to do proper research, and listen to warnings when deciding to modify the body. Again roly, Thank you for all that you do. Every video is hilarious content !
Yay! So happy you posted a new video! I just got a cartilage piercing and instead of a rook I got a helix piercing. It’s healing right now, but in May I can go back to the studio and downsize my bar-I’m keeping my hair up so it doesn’t get stuck behind the bar-I got a lot of compliments on it so far-even my mom who’s not a piercing fan thought it was cute. I got a stud because I remember you bringing up that a hoop would heal crooked. Thank you for sharing good information on piercings with all of us. ❤
I love these videos, they always brighten my day! ☺️ I love how you go from being so funny to giving out such good advice and then back to being hilarious! 🤭 I definitely agree, I don't know why people are allowed to put up videos with such potentially harmful content, especially knowing how young and impressionable a lot of their audience is. as someone who used to pierce themselves, I LOVE your videos. It will always be better to go to a professional !! I've definitely calmed down & even when I was being irresponsible, encouraging "diy" piercings was not something I did. thank you Roly for shouting common sense from the rooftops 😂
I just got my septum done today! Obviously professionally but I’ve never cried so hard before!!! Like he had to peirce it twice bc he got halfway done and I started moving too much! Since he’s a family friend he gave us a discount and he said if I get straight a’s he’ll give me ANY free piercing and idk which I should get idk if I should do a vertical labret or eyebrow!
These videos are horrifying but I'm so glad you keep making them because I've learned a lot from them. Mostly what not to do, things to look out for as far as safety and sanitation and good practices, but still. I've also learned that I'm insanely jealous of your shirts, lol.
Ohh that fan flip at 16:06 is on point!!! On a side note, are you wearing makeup? It looks amazing! Loved the video btw, I'm thinking of getting a side lip labret sometime soon, and I'm DEFINITELY going to get it done professionally.
33:00 to be perfectly fair, I do this because my cartilage doesn't really swell when it's pierced. But I only change it when the length of the bar is causing the discomfort. (I apprenticed as a piercer in my 20's, so I've got some skills). Also, I soak my jewelry in peroxide, then brush it clean, then use my sonic cleaner with alcohol for 10 minutes before the initial change.
So excited! A new Roly video! Plus, I'm getting close to being able to finally change my conch piercing for the first time! I have a cute little titanium koi fish and am contemplating more.
Honestly I’m glad Roly didn’t do the hissy blelehhhhhhhh at the end of the intro of, “let’s just get one with these fails.” It always made me cringe, I hope it doesn’t come back lmao. The outfit is quite polished today, what a look!
Not sure about thread, but when I was younger I had a thin chain earring with a star on the end. My ear started to heal over the chain, even though it was a fully established/healed piercing of over 5 years.
Piercings are a lifetime and upkeep commitment. The lifetime of the piercing that is. I hope to have mine and more when I'm hella old. I see people so often that think you only do the nupkeep til their healed and then do fuck all with them. Some don't get infected ever but why take the chance? And I wish people understood that any infection, anywhere at all, effects your whole body and not just the site.
Lidocaine girl had an update where she thanked some commenters for informing her on proper piercing care & she is not using Lidocaine anymore 🙏 (Around 15:00)
22:01, Transverse Lobe. Met a customer at my job 10yrs ago and he was so excited to talk about it and immediately told me the name and that i should get one. Ive wanted one ever since but my ears weren't my piercing focus growing up, lol. Now im an adult wanting to add to my ears but got them bills to pay.
Heres a septum piercing tutorial 🥰 -First you want to research local piercing shops. Look at reviews and previous work on the shop's website. -Contact the piercer and get a quote -Make sure you have the money -Book an appointment -Show up -Get pierced And there you go!
I don't want to trauma dump but I feel like there's no where else I can pour my heart out. I met a girl during 8th grade who immediately latched onto me after she saw my selfharm scars, I was the perfect victim, she proudly presented her own to me and I felt so uncomfortable but everyone was pushing me to make friends so ignored the awful gut feeling and proceeded with a friendship. She became obsessed with piercings and started to manipulate me, I had one on my lip already so again, the perfect victim, she convinced me for a week to get more ear piercings until I gave in because I was afraid to loose the "friend" I had just made, she pierced my ears almost every day after that and always reused the same needle, she pierced my right ear 5 times and my left 3. Then she wanted to do my face, again I kept refusing until I let her and she did my eyebrow, the a day later my nose, and then a second snake bite, I had 4 piercings on my face now and I was so deep into depression at that point and my parents didn't give a shit that I just didn't care, she gave me a razor, convinced me it would help and watched me as I cut myself. Shit started to go down hill and she started making suicide threats, hitting me and insulting me, I had started to like piercings at that point and now she could use it against me because the jewelry was hers, eventually I defended myself and left and she got so angry she send me death threats and started demanding I pay her for damaged property I didn't even break and I finally snapped out of it and she demanded the jewelry back which I did do and let them disappear. After finding your videos I started to love piercings again and got that power back, I went to get my septum pierced and then later both nostrils, I have 2 piercings on both ears and hopefully more later. A month or so ago this person actually showed up in one of your piercing fails videos, I am not going to say what she was doing so no one knows and can't go harass her, but anyways, I am so thankful of you and your amazing positivity that helped me get back the control I felt I had lost. Love what you do Roly and keep educating fools
one of my favorite things on this channel is seeing people with really unique anatomy that they get pierced in a way most people just wouldnt be able to
@RolyWestYT Hi Roly😊 I don't know if anyone has commented about the (sewing) thread yet,but i am in my mid 50's and we used to do our peircing at home. We used a brand new needle that would be sterilized in alcohol then with a lighter. We used ice to numb the ear and used old stud earrings that were cleaned in alcohol. If the piercing/s got infected, as happens if you're a dopey kid, we would take out the earring/s and put a threaded needle through the ear. The thread was then tied in a loop about the size of a quarter and slathered in antibiotic ointment that was then pulled into the hole by rotating the thread a bit. This was done every day until the infection was gone and sterilized studs were tried again, most of the time with great results. Hope that clarifies the use of thread for you!
I've been looking into getting an eyebrow or nose piercing (or both) recently. Lip is already pierced along with several in the ears. So I've been looking at the local piercing studios.. and I several of them PROMOTE doing several piercings in one go! One had pictures on Insta where they did _eleven_ face piercings on someone in one sitting! ELEVEN!!? Absolutely preposterous!
Ok, that finger piercing brought back the memory of the first IV attempt for my surgery and how i actually nearly fainted for once in my lifetime because of some medical thing. Everything going muffled and all, would not recomend 0/10.
Before I started watching Roly I genuinely thought that the only way to get pierced was with a piercing gun and I had been so confused how people would get an eyebrow piercing 😂 luckily I found Roly’s channel about a year or two ago and now I’m not as stupid.
as to the threading your piercings...we do get stitches to seal skin that has been opened...so yeah, it will just heal around the thread if left in for a length of time.
that finger piercing at the beginning already set me off!!! i got a navel piercing recently, first experience with something other than earlobes, and even the way that part of my body stretches and squishes was PAINFUL for almost a week. can't even imagine having an open wound and a piece of jewelry in a finger of all things 😅
True confession: I pierced my own ears multiple times in 2020 because I had lockdown madness. I did a BAD JOB. They’re just lobe piercings, no big deal, but they aren’t spaced and angled correctly. None of my piercings have been done correctly, now that I think about it. The old ones were done with a gun when I was a child, the new ones are DIY… I need a go fund me to spackle and redo my whole ears! 😂
Hey Roly, I love your piercing fail videos! Especially that you always, always tell your viewers exactly what is going wrong, and to go to a professional piercer. I've got a fail of my own in my piercing history, too - in my defense, it happened a long, long time before youtube even existed, all the way back in 1997, when I was 17 years old and my small hometown didn't even have a piercing studio... I used a sharp embroidery needle, because it was sharper than a thumbtack. Like every stupid teen the world over, I thought I was being clever. Yeah, well, you can imagine what happens when you poke an embroidery needle through your helix and put a dainty little gold hoop in it. I actually attempted to be careful, and liberally doused everything in alcohol-based disinfectant, but you guessed right, that was not enough. It got infected good and proper, obviously. I still have a small scar on top of my right ear and a little notch in the cartilage underneath where that piercing used to be... Did I learn from it? Well, somewhat. I kept doing my own ear piercings, but I started to use proper needles and sterile jewelry, and never had one get infected like that again.
Hi! I wanted to give input on the Thread in the ear piercing! It’s a method used to help heal raw piercings or to help just heal piercings! I got my ears pierced at about 3 months old! (Just my culture) And I don’t know exactly when they became raw, maybe like 9 years ish later! And so it’s always been painful to put I earrings, lots of discomfort. And so we finally tried the thread method to help heal my piercings properly again! It worked for me, I kept the loops of thread in for about 2 weeks! Moved them about every hour! And it worked for me! Idk if anything I explained makes sense lol!!

Hahahaha glad you agree 😂😂😂
Not me hearing Spyro music in the background 😂 HIT BY NOSTALGIA, omg the serotonin. Thank you for making my day ❤😭
Always love to use retro video game music
Piercings are a lifetime and upkeep commitment. The lifetime of the piercing that is. I hope to have mine and more when I'm hella old. I see people so often that think you only do the nupkeep til their healed and then do fuck all with them. Some don't get infected ever but why take the chance? And I wish people understood that any infection, anywhere at all, effects your whole body and not just the site.
Remember kids, SAFETY FIRST! Always use a NEW thumb tack to pierce YOURSELF with 😂 Great video Rolishweadewgong ❤❤
Lidocaine girl had an update where she thanked some commenters for informing her on proper piercing care & she is not using Lidocaine anymore 🙏

-Show up
-Get pierced
And there you go!
I adore your eyes in this!
I'm so sorry you went through this. But it sounds like you came out fighting and its great you are loving piercings again 😊
Also so excited to see the tattoos come together and absolutely love the shirt
Yessssss so glad to be here so quick to the video!
one of my favorite things on this channel is seeing people with really unique anatomy that they get pierced in a way most people just wouldnt be able to
Started watching him when I got my phone at 11 years old, now I'm 16 and I'm still watching him after school 🌟😭
Just got home from dance class and must put on Roly before I've sorted out my dinner!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ok, that finger piercing brought back the memory of the first IV attempt for my surgery and how i actually nearly fainted for once in my lifetime because of some medical thing. Everything going muffled and all, would not recomend 0/10.
Where do you buy your contacts 🥺
The last thing I want is to buy from a sketchy website and go blind 🤣🤣
Always links in my description ❤️❤️
Before I started watching Roly I genuinely thought that the only way to get pierced was with a piercing gun and I had been so confused how people would get an eyebrow piercing 😂 luckily I found Roly’s channel about a year or two ago and now I’m not as stupid.
@25:39 SISTER CASIVA, a throwback to my sisters crown Eurovision 2023 😂😂
as to the threading your piercings...we do get stitches to seal skin that has been opened...so yeah, it will just heal around the thread if left in for a length of time.
Your eyeliner is amazing today, and I love love love your shirt.❤❤❤
I tagged Roly in that eyebrow piercing video in the beginning
that finger piercing at the beginning already set me off!!! i got a navel piercing recently, first experience with something other than earlobes, and even the way that part of my body stretches and squishes was PAINFUL for almost a week. can't even imagine having an open wound and a piece of jewelry in a finger of all things 😅
I needed this ❤
Enjoy ☺️
LOVE the makeup, you're stunning
At home piercing videos… choices choices CHOICES!
Always the wrong one
True confession: I pierced my own ears multiple times in 2020 because I had lockdown madness.
I did a BAD JOB. They’re just lobe piercings, no big deal, but they aren’t spaced and angled correctly.
None of my piercings have been done correctly, now that I think about it. The old ones were done with a gun when I was a child, the new ones are DIY… I need a go fund me to spackle and redo my whole ears! 😂
I googled the one around 22:30 and I found it rather quickly, being named: a vertical transverse lobe exiting out of the anti-tragus!
I came to TH-cam needing a laugh and then up popped your video. Thank you, this is the laugh I needed 😂😂
