    Thanks for the honest work fam! Saved me tons of time that I don’t have this time in life! You’ll be hearing from me every once in a while for some more advice!
    Thanks again! The wife appreciates it as she’s the one that drives it.

    The way i replaced my timing cover gasket w/air injection was to bend that stupid injection pipe up out of the way with a big pry bar and bent it back when it was time. I like your way better lol

      I have a friend who did a clean cut with a dremel and used a rubber hose to re attach it but idk if it would fail emissions visually since its strict here in Cali

    • @AmeriFanPicker

      @@2zzlow how hot does that pipe get? I wondered about something like that. But yeah I doubt it would pass visual.

    Follow up to this video. Water pump is 100 percent trash. I’m at 217k and noticed it started leaking again.
    Going to buy OEM next.

      Yes OEM one is the best. I bought the AISIN waterpump since the OEM is also a AISIN unit. It was a lot cheaper than oem

    Well shit….I didn’t know you had this video with the air injection. 170K miles? Super clean inside. I’m expecting my rusty ex manifold nuts and bolts to be more trouble than this one. Have all new oem nuts and bolts and studs. But kind of afraid of trying to remove those studs frankly

    Thank you for making this video! I have to do this job on my Celica with air injection sooner or later. It is the same on a Celica ?

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much, you need to unbolt the exhaust manifold from the engine

    • @andrea981
      @andrea981 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2zzlow It is mandatory to replace the exhaust manifold gasket or I can reuse the old one ?

    • @andrea981
      @andrea981 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2zzlow Oh oh . I got a problem removing exhaust manifold upper shield on the Celica . The bastard does not clear, no way to remove it . I guess that in the corolla there is much more space behind engine. Edit: I was forced to remove the heat insulator for gaining some space, then I succeded removing the exhaust manifold cover by extracting it rotated and forcing it out. I hope it is not a nightmare to put it on again.

    Is it possible to replace o-ring on the tensioner without loosening the serpentine belt?

    • @CLASIFIED2
      @CLASIFIED2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. Has nothing to do with the drive belt.

    • @langthao738
      @langthao738 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve seen a few videos that 2zz with the air injection the belt tensioner arm bracket is the way.

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For any 2zz with air injection you have to slightly loosen the 17mm bolt and 12mm nut on the belt tensioner. With a pry bar once you loosened enough the 2 items you can slide the tensioner out of the way granting you clearance to slide the tensioner out.

      long story short, you cant. Most I've seen is 240ish WHP with 13-14:1 compression, stage 3 cams, 10k rpm redlines, etc. Max effort you're really not gotta get anywhere past 230-240whp without boost or nitrous
