I have a 2005 with 36k miles,,, pretty much been a Florida shopping cart it's whole life,, but this year a couple things started to fail,,,, nothing too bad,, a coil here,,, a/c compressor there,,, and one very slight leak from the timing chain cover,,, can't believe you figured out how to do this engine-in. Definitely gonna give it a go now it's cooled down a bit here. Thanks..

I’ve been pondering just taking the engine out to do this job (plus I’d do other stuff while it’s out). Now you got me rethinking that.

Thanks for the vid. My vibe gt has the air intake pipe so I had to use this vid. I documented the steps in MS word as i watched the vid. I appreciate your diy vids on this vehicle/engine. Mine has 300k and i've owned it since 160k so I've faced and had to do all these problems myself. Luckily it's doable, inexpensive, and helps that you show these vids. Also, I have to replace my parking brake cables and I haven't seen a video on that for the 06 vibe/matrix. Can you point me to the right video to be able to see that be done? I bought the cables but have never installed them and I have no parking brake. It would be nice to have parking brakes since I am a bit OCD about my brakes. Thanks.

Hey you live in Stockton? I remember seen Stockton streets in one of your videos when you put exhaust. Well question here is I live here in Stockton too and I wonder how much would you charge me to do this to my 2005 Corolla xrs it started to leak a bit of oil from timing chain cover. At 217,000 miles I'm not so sure if is worth it fixing or just keep on running it for a little longer and buy a newer car. Everything works good except this leak. But the cost is going to determine if I keep it or not. Thanks let me know.

Hello I do have a specific question. I live in a state with no inspections, I have a vibe gt with the same air tube, but I was told upgrading the ecu to the 2003 gt ecu for lower lift will cause the air injection to not even function anymore. If I’m wrong correct me.
My question is can I remove air tube all together after cutting it? First car with one of these.

I have a 2005 Corolla and it is supposedly leaking from the timing chain cover. The shop told me that they would replace the front seal and the gasket for the timing cover and the valve cover gasket. The car has 105,000 miles on it. Do you think that fixing the aforementioned would cause the rear main seal to leak for instance?
A friend advised me to use some Lucas Stop Leak, what do you think?

Bro, I love your content. I have a question please: I have a 2004 Toyota Matrix Rr and I have been hearing rattling noise coming from the valve cover area. Someone told me to change the tensioner, I did but the problem was not fixed. I opened the valve cover and noticed the chain is a bit loose. What is the easiest way to address this issue please. I just want the rattling noise to be gone lol. Also, would changing the timing BELT tensioner fix this issue. Please let me know if you have any videos. Thanks a lot brother
