    I got a BigTex trailer a little over a year ago, absolutely love it. No D-Rings, just stake pockets, but I sourced some D-Ring adapters from Amazon as soon as I got the trailer. It's a D-Ring that slips into the stake pocket, and is held in place with a clevis pin. Forgot what brand I got, but it was a set of 4, and hold up very well, I use the D-Rings to strap down cars/trucks/vans, etc...

      I did end up putting D-rings in the deck but have been thinking about getting the kind you have as well. There are several companies out there that make them.

    Yeah, I've got the same issue with loading "low" vehicles on a 50LA that I own. My thought was if they had staggered the ramp storage pockets, one ahead of the other, then you could have longer ramps which would solve the problem. Being on the sides you need to have the room to remove the ramps. There always seems to be a "trade off", pros & cons.
    I'm tempted to modify mine in just that way. I'll have to see if that's do-able. Right now I use 6 foot 2x10 wooden ramps over the top of the metal ones, it works OK, but kind of a hassle because I have to carry those around when needed.
    The other option would be to have the longer ramp storage run from the back toward the front, but the issue there is that it would lower the ground clearance by the thickness of the storage pockets. No easy solutions. Tilt beds rule!

      I did the same thing wooden ramps, but I made mine so that the metal ramps lock into the wooden ones, which raises the back end of them about 5 inches, and then the wooden ramps extend another 5 feet back and gradually step down as they go. I’ve loaded a couple of really low cars with them and they work really well, and they’re short enough to throw in the back of the truck.

    I just got the 10 CH yesterday. I am very pleased with the purchase. I noticed that my fenders are crooked. I notice the tabs that were welded on to the fenders were apparently done a 1/2 off. Just curious if your fenders were crooked or misaligned ? I took them off and shimed them for now, but will try to get replacments from Big Tex or just cut and weld correctly. No biggie.

      No, my fenders are fine, that seems pretty odd and probably worth a call to Big Tex.

      @@stuffyoucando2 I did end up getting two new fenders. Mine came with D Rings up front. I did not get a spare time, but got mount. I have the 20 ft. Good video! Thank you.

    Thank you for the video. Im considering getting a 70ch with the dove tail for a auto transportation Buisness. The only down side to this trailer is no D rings welded to the trailer.

      I added D-Rings to this trailer rather easily to the deck. Just get a good set with a backing plate and they're plenty strong.

    My dad has one of these, but it has the raised side rails. Where do they stamp the VIN on them anywhere because the BigTex tag is heavily worn and I can't read it.

      @stuffyoucando2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m only aware of it being on the inside of the tongue on a sticker, at least that’s how both of mine are. Can you read part of it? If so you might be able to contact Big Tex for a replacement if they can figure out the entire number.

      @@stuffyoucando2 I couldn't even tell it was a Big Tex because all I could see of the sticker was the lower right side of the G in BIG and the TEX. So I looked up Tex trailers and BIG TEX came up, so that's how I figured out it was a BIG TEX. Their is almost nothing of the sticker left. I do have the license plate on it and I called the DMV and they said bring his death certificate and my appointment as Personal Representative and I could get the VIN and register it again for Estate Use. I can't even find the title for it, that's why I need the VIN so I can apply for a lost title and eventually transfer it or sell it. I do like the idea of contacting BIG TEX and seeing if I could get them to make me a new tag though. I kinda doubt they'd do that for possible fraud purposes, but it's a thought. I suppose if they looked up the VIN and my dads name was on it and I could send them a picture of the trailer and condition of the tag they may do it, but I think it's a long shot. Thanks for your ideas. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
