All these issues can happen on a PJ too. I owned my Pj a whole year and they replaced my wiring 3 times and all my magnets 2 times. Trailer has 80K and now I’m finally not dealing with these issues. And the tires suck!

Something is definitely wrong with the workmanship on these Big Tex trailers, I just bought a 25GN about 3 months ago, and I keep getting a fault in my truck that says check left side turn signals and brake lights, it just comes on sporadically and goes off, I've also got a trailer disconnected warning twice, all my lights were still on, but my brakes weren't engaging, luckily when that happened I didn't have a load on it. I assumed it was a wiring problem, but when I took it to a shop out on the road they couldn't find anything wrong with the wiring.

My relative bought a lightly used 40ft big Tex less than 10 years old. (can't remember if it's a 5th wheel or gooseneck if that matters) but on the trailer a structural joint had cracked on it... I wanna say it was at a point where two pieces of metal were welded together previously... Not 100% sure on that but it was a structural area cracking apart and he had to get it welded to have any integrity back in the structure.

Warranty sucks, alignment from the factory sucks, bolts that hold the boards on rot and snap, wiring sucks etc. I have owned my Big Tex trailer since Sept 2020 and have had all kinds of issues. Welds are garbage. The entire trailer is garbage.

I recently bought a brand new 35+5 Big Tex with mega ramps. Before I purchased the trailer on the listing it stated that the trailer weighed dry weight 6730 I confirm that with the dealership salesman after purchasing the trailer it states on the title that the dry weight is 7630 lbs instead of 6730 like it originally stated. So now that means since I'm non-cdl I lose a thousand pounds that I can haul. I called the manufacturer the dealer called the manufacturer also. No one I repeat no one wants to take responsibility for their error. They admitted it was an error on their part but the manufacturer refuses to do anything about it. Would like to know if there's anyone else out there who went through a similar situation is this

I currently have a 70PI 7x18 Utility trailer. Its only 4 years old and it not used for commercial use at all. I gather firewood in the warm months with it and use 2-3 times a year to haul my snowmobiles, that's it. This trailer is rusting like crazy now. I rinse the trailer after every use in the winter months because of salt but the paint is peeling every where and I mean EVERY where. VERY unhappy with the paint work from Big Tex and will never recommend this brand to anyone.
I also tried opening the battery box to to check the battery voltage....the 2 bolts that hold the cover closed rusted so tight, my impact torque bits broke. I am going to change this design so it is serviceable. What a joke.

I ordered two of the 70PI trailers and they’re absolute junk. Top rails are bent. Significant gaps in welds where the angle meet the top rail. Only one side of angle was welded. Angle isn’t square to the top rail. Just a very poorly built trailer. And expensive for what I received. I have older Big Tex and they’re fine. I’ll stick to finding older trailers in the future.

Yeah bro Big Tex sucks! I’ve had wiring issues, my tool box was welded poorly and I had tools fall off on the road never to be seen again. I’ve had magnets and those plastic covers crack. Long story short I sold it but it’s a better trailer used than brand new because I converted the electric breaks into hydraulic and brand new wiring harness and a tougher tool box. Also when I had issues and it was under warranty they would keep the trailer for several weeks so yeah man fuck that. I’ve heard good things about diamond C and iron bull trailers. Good luck

Best advice I can give is coat the deck wood with a few coats of used motor oil (I used Amsoil ATF oil). Soaks in 100%, will help the wood last 10x longer. Think I used over 3 gallons. Used a 3/4ç nap paint roller. Tape off the metal rails to make cleanup easier.
