    Jasmin You ...Forever...

This song is very special to this band as it's written in memory of there first bass player.
This version also differs from other versions because it was played at Budokan (a arena the band strived to be able to play at), the most noticeable difference being that they incorporated a silent minute for Jasmine You.
Thanks for the reaction guy's :D
So a good follow-up to this one might be Versailles - Aristocrat's symphony.

This song was a remembrance song fro their original bassist Jasmine who WAS the top 10 bassists in the world and she succumbed to a disease. Ive followed them since 2005 and i can say this song makes me cry every time. The composition of this song is ornately written. Each note screams of pain but joy.

It is French, "ver-" as in verify followed by "sigh" (approximately). The palace of Louis XIV, King of France. The band's costumes reflect the ornate fashion of the Royal Court of that period.

Epicness....you said it, thats the word...lol The long pause was a moment of silence for the previous bass player that passed away right aftet they got signed... (ver-sigh)...:) Yeah, they've got the whole Anne Rice Interview with a Vampire thing going on, and they make it work...probably in my top three fave guitar duos... Hizaki and Teru... After the split, they formed Jupiter, and their newest incarnation they've gone more towarx power metal meets anime vibe...goid stuff...still Hizaki with the gowns ...lol I dont care just keep playing lights our.. Did you catch that no look solo...showing off... Good review! Thanks!

Thanks for this reactions! About the lights, as someone mentioned in the comments, it's common to see these glowsticks on japanese bands' concert, but Versailles' ones are "roses" because it's part of the band concept.
Since you like HIZAKI and TERU's skills, you should give a try to "Silent Knight", it's an instrumental (100%, no voice lol) Versailles song. Also, "Ascendead Master" has (imo) their bests solos in Versailles .

In my opinion this was the weaker of the 2 live performances. This performance was a one show reunion concert not a whole tour. The song was written in dedication to original bass player who unexpectedly in 2009. The band is pronounced “ver sigh”

Wow great show. If you guys like the guitarists, they have a new band called "Jupiter" with a new vocalist that i think you may like more. It's more of a power metal vibe. Check out Jupiter - Bring Me Out if you guys ever get around to it. I think you;ll like it.

You'll see these glowsticks all over Asia at concerts, but they are an absolute staple for the audiences at J-pop idol concerts. Damn near every single person will wave those things around at these pop shows in unison. Like 10's of thousands of them at a big arena. This audience just had a few trickle over into a metal show, probably because a "showy" band like this will have a few crossover fans from the idol/pop side of things.

I remember that the Visual Kei genre started in the early 90s.
The music genre Visual Kei is called that because of their flamboyant appearance.
In Japan, the word visual is sometimes used to mean appearance.
I think it is influenced by artists such as David Bowie, Culture Club and DEAD OR ALIVE.
In terms of music, Yngwie Malmsteen has a big influence.

Didn't Visual Kei start in the 80's with bands like X Japan?

    • @littlewing5271
      @littlewing5271 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@pascalschulz5894 I think X Japan is one of them. I don't know how visual-kei is perceived in other countries. My image of Visual-kei is a rock band that wears makeup and provides melodious songs. However, in terms of musical genres, I think there are various artists in various genres. I don't think there is a musical genre called Visual-kei, it is just a Japanese pop culture and visual look.
There was also a band called BUCK-TICK at the same time as X Japan.
I think it was not until the 90's that Visual Kei became generally recognized in Japan.

Thanks for taking a look at this band. Seeing Visual Kei for the first time is a bit of a visual shock, but that wears off due to the music. I think only the Japanese could come up with this style as a logical endpoint for Glam rock. I think that X-Japan was probably the first Japanese band to go with Glam in the early 1980's (from 1993 - th-cam.com/video/WZ38oIGdXv4/w-d-xo.html ). From watching a lot of Japanese anime I've noticed that there seems to a fascination for that elaborate dress style from the French Louie XIV time period ( world4.eu/french-fashion-reign-louis-xiv/ ).

This was interesting. You've introduced me to someone different, but like Nightwish it's just a little too polished. It's kinda like classical meets metal. In fact had these instruments been available at the time, this is probably similar to what classical would have sounded like.😃 I like my rock a little more raw...a little dirtier. Speaking of which, when you gonna do another Warning reaction?
