This parrot loves to sound like a cat, and also a dog. But it's what little Diego squawked out to a UPS driver that prompted police to respond. The parrot yelled, “Help me.” The concerned driver had stopped by the home outside Portland, Oregon and heard what he thought was a cry for help. He texted his wife to call 911.The parrot is owned by Susan Baird, who says she's not surprised that her beloved pet yelled for help while she was gone. #InsideEdition

I mean, it could be true. This is just a theory though. But, birds mimic people, so it heard ot from somewhere. Nomrally, when parrots witness a traumatizeing event, they mimic the words. The parrot is plucking its feathers out, thats a sign that its stressed and anxious. Honeslty , something isnt righr about this.

A parrot that old can pick up a line hearing it just one time people. Come on. There’s also the chance it’s a rescue and it was taught in a past home. Reason for the plucking could be a million reasons. It came from a rescue already looking like that and the follicles have been severely damaged and can’t grow feathers anymore. Mites? Allergies? Stress? But it doesn’t mean the owner is a bad owner. We rescue parrots in worse shape and try to better them but the damage is already done. Can’t possibly blame the owner cause no one knows when the problem started or how. Let’s all just try to enjoy a funny story and not point fingers.

Like my cockatoo, she was in a loud home for 10 years, she was never let out of her cage and the owners smoked, so out of boredom and maybe stress, she plucked herself to the point where she can grow any more feathers on her stomach. I’ve had her for 5 years now and she is still bald.

What’s funny is you didn’t mention the cuddly part. If you want to judge people Judge them for the right thing.
The cuddling is the concerning bit. Birds shouldn’t be cuddled or pet all over. It’s sexual. And causes them to become sexually frustrated. They will look at you as a mate. It’s gross. And it’s beastiality. Like once you know you need to stop.
Like of course you should be able to preform basic husbandry, other than that you should only pet the head area.
Birds aren’t cuddly animals. Get aa bunny, dog or cat instead.
