The bigger dogs left because they weren’t the alpha in the house. They were trained to not be aggressive. In the third household, that dog was the alpha and wasn’t trained to be gentle. Clearly, the last woman’s ignorance of pack mentality allowed her dog to claim the mantle. Any dog that sees itself as the alpha or strong beta, or trained, will defend the pack. It’s that simple.
Difference... Two dogs have experience fighting each other so they don't fear confrontation... But the single raised dogs fear confrontation... Do always have every thing in pair weather dogs or children....

I was out smoking a cigarette in my yard at night when my dog came running out at me thinking I was an animal or something. She got pretty close to me before I said her name because I was afraid she’d attack me by accident. She immediately whimpered and kind of hunched over and started to go back inside. I think she was genuinely about to attack me because she couldn’t see who I was and then felt bad about it. I tried to comfort her and let her know she wasn’t in trouble or did anything wrong, but I think she was upset with herself because she went inside and laid in her bed looking all sad lol. She was fine 2 minutes later but I was kinda proud of her for her defense, and also a little sorry that she was so upset.
I know it makes me want to cry I don't know why it is just I can't explain it except they fiercely loved their mama and was gonna put their own safety on the line to try and do what they could to protect her. It literally makes me wanna cry lol

When I was a firefighter responding to the home of a man who had a heart attack I was attacked by this little fearless Lhasa Apso. The poor guy saw me on top of his owner doing CPR and went in to kick my ass with everything he had thinking I was attacking him. Obviously not the lil guys fault for thinking that. Luckily the man survived and we got to visit the dog again who was much happier to see us when we brought treats.
I don't know why, but I'm crying watching the tiny dog protect his mommy. Probably because this little dog could easily get punted across the room, but he doesn't care. That's HIS mommy 😭

About 15 years ago me and a few of my friends were at the pond down the street from my house and there were 2 other kids there that were just horrible little turds. They started throwing rocks and sticks at the Canadian geese and one of the kids ended up getting attacked and got his arm broken, nose broken, like 4 missing teeth and bruises everywhere. It was the funniest karma I've ever witnessed. Nobody believed he was attacked by 3 or 4 geese, they thought he had to have been beaten by an adult or something. The kid looked like he got hit by a car.
My father was attacked by a person with dagger. Our dog saved him. Second time he tried to save my father and brother from a venomous snake but he got bitten and died can't forget him even after 30yrs.

There was so much blood that my family initially thought was our dogs. But after taking him to the vet found out it was the other dogs blood. Because dogs feel real danger. This was just a game and the dogs understand this. But if you walk with your dog and some stranger came in to your way...may he is a psychopat and serial murder...the dog will feel this. Dont unaerastemate dogs. They have senses which we dont understand. They smell fear, they smell if somebody is evil or have a good heard...they feel if somebody is depressed etc.

When I was a firefighter responding to the home of a man who had a heart attack I was attacked by this little fearless Lhasa Apso. The poor guy saw me on top of his owner doing CPR and went in to kick my ass with everything he had thinking I was attacking him. Obviously not the lil guys fault for thinking that.
Luckily the man survived and we got to visit the dog again who was much happier to see us when we brought treats.

About 15 years ago me and a few of my friends were at the pond down the street from my house and there were 2 other kids there that were just horrible little turds. They started throwing rocks and sticks at the Canadian geese and one of the kids ended up getting attacked and got his arm broken, nose broken, like 4 missing teeth and bruises everywhere. It was the funniest karma I've ever witnessed. Nobody believed he was attacked by 3 or 4 geese, they thought he had to have been beaten by an adult or something. The kid looked like he got hit by a car.

The first time was an actual fight. There was so much blood that my family initially thought was our dogs. But after taking him to the vet found out it was the other dogs blood. Our dogs mane protected his throat where they tend to go for.
