  • Class 4 therapy lasers were first FDA cleared in December 2003, and since then treatments have improved the quality of life for tens of thousands of human and animal patients. Those who criticize, defame, discredit, disgrace, impugn or in any way speak negatively about class 4 laser therapy need to stop it.

The first slide where you show a text from a doctor you know, it is important for those who watch this video that you are referring to Dr Dan Murphy DC, and at his seminar for Erchonia.
For those chiropractors unfamiliar with Dr Dan Murphy or for the non chiropractors who watched this, here is the CV of Dr Murphy, who Dr Harrington called a "useful idiot". Compare this CV to that of Dr Harrington. Dr Murphy has been chiropractor of the year by the ICA, has served as a professor at Life West University since 1982, has co authored several books, works as an expert witness in legal cases as well. When he made the comments about laser parameters, he was also using his experience as an expert witness in what he has seen chiropractors get in trouble with the lasers in the med-legal world here in CA.
Dr Harrington, your Dr left out the fact that Dr Murphy presents this info in the context of research papers that support his statements of the combo of specific wavelengths with specific powers that has gotten drs into trouble here in CA when patients have been injured and sued. Your statement that injuries do not happen is not accurate. It may not happen with the way YOU use your laser, but Dr Murphy has been on the stand in cases like this.

All this, but in your opinion he is an idiot or even evil.

That's correct. He is either a useful idiot or is evil. When teaching CE courses, he has claimed that class 4 laser therapy can damage DNA and cause cancer. Neither statement can be supported with evidence. Tens of millions of class 4 laser therapy treatments are delivered worldwide every year, helping millions of human and animal patients. If class 4 treatments cause cancer, as the esteemed Dr. Murphy states - where are the cases? where are the lawsuits? Whether useful idiot or evil, he needs to stop it. And so do you, Kirkie boy.

Does this mean there is no value in class iii(b) laser? What about all the work of Dr Fred Kahn and BioFlex laser?

Thank you for your comment. I am not saying there is no value in class 3. I am saying this: I am a proponent of class 4 laser therapy; and that for too long many class 3 advocates said and wrote things about class 4 therapy lasers that were simply untrue - and in many cases libelous. Did you watch the full video? Hands on fire?? Come on...
