Why is it called 'Cold Laser'? - detailed version

There are many terms to describe photobiomodulation: cold laser, soft laser, low-level laser, LLLT, low-reactive laser therapy, and so on. Where did the term 'low-level laser' come from?

The term “low-level laser therapy” or “LLLT” originally applied to the reaction at the tissue, and not the device. Do not use the terms hot/cold laser, LLLT, etc. They only cause confusion. It is better to say “laser therapy” “PBM” or “class 4 laser therapy”.
