- In this episode we install new front disc or rotor and caliper on Gilby the Yamaha XV250, Virago 250, V-star 250 or Route 66.
We are then forced to re-install the OEM caliper due to the terrible quality of the Chinese caliper and the inability to bleed it due to cross threaded bleed valve and the rounding off og the bleed valve head.
DO NOT BUY THESE CALIPERS!

Great upgrade, I just got around to cuting the front fender on my 250 today, I went a little shorter than the one on your bike my brakes are not in need of replacement yet, but when they do I know what rotor im gonna get, Thanks to you

That new rotor definitely looks great. I had to fix up my caliper when I got my roadworthy, but could really do with a new rotor. I've finally gotten a shorty metal front guard and with a bit of modding, got it on and it looks great. Thanks for your videos, they've really inspired my XV250 Build.

By reconditioning the caliper how long do you think before you have to revisit it again?

Will this fit a 1992 xv250 virago?
Some where in the year models the disc was swapped from one side to the other so, been to long I can't remember what year so you will need to research that so you don't buy the wrong one
