  • Works on most motorcycles. In this episode we make a DIY Seal Mate or fork seal cleaner and clean the fork seals on Gilby the Yamaha XV250, Virago 250, V-star 250 or Route 66 for free. Instead of replacing them, using a piece cut from a milk carton or juice bottle. This technique can be used for cleaning any motorcycle fork seal.

i bought a legit seal thingy, but never used it, as the mechanic fixed my seals when i took it in for a service, but they are pretty small and easy to tuck away under the seat now that i think about it.

Be handy to have tucked away so you could do at at the first sign of leaking!! Come to think of it i might put my knock off in the tool kit!!! Cheers mate!
