Should you spend your hard-earned on off-road performance fruit, or would you prefer a little extra accoutrement? We pin these two utes head-to-head, to find out.
How much does the Nissan Navara SL Warrior cost in Australia?
The 2022 Nissan Navara SL Warrior follows on behind the range-topping Pro-4X Warrior, which is an all-you-can-eat variant in Nissan's ute range. The Navara Pro-4X Warrior costs $68,090 (or $2500 more with an automatic transmission), but this SL Warrior costs a cool $10,000 less.
Prices for the 2022 Navara SL Warrior are $58,000 with a six-speed manual transmission, or $60,500 with the seven-speed automatic gearbox (which will undoubtedly be the more popular choice).
How much does the Mitsubishi Triton GSR cost in Australia?
The Mitsubishi Triton GSR we have is top-spec, adding in a handful of extras that aim more towards comfort and convenience, rather than hairy-chested machoisms of the Warrior. It's got an upmarket interior finish with heated and electric seats, and blacked-out elements on the outside to help distinguish this more expensive model. 18-inch alloy wheels, grille, sportsbar and door handles all get the treatment.
And being the big dog in the Triton range, its $55,690 plus on-road costs price tag translating to around $61,000 drive-away in NSW.

I love the concept of a stripped out ute with decent "factory" fruit (except the front bar), however 60k + on roads + whatever the dealers are hoping to make on top of RRP is pretty wild for a basic ride. With the Navara's 5 star rating about to expire, hopefully the price will come back to earth and be more palatable.
I think the Navara is great concept but it’s a little overpriced, If I was purchasing I think I’d be going for a Triton in GLS trim and ad a suspension and AT tyre upgrade👍
Not sure why companys waste time doing these videos when your saying the Navara has a/t tyres also bigger no side steps not comparing two utes that are the same to start off with, just making the other brand look terrible, I think company's pay for these kind of videos so they can promote there brand, might aswell make tictoc videos with this bloke and a teenager and see who's a better dancer, compare apples with apples
Great content considering you often use my playing grounds as your platform I’ve gone away from my 105 series Landcruiser and now
I’m waiting on delivery of a new Hilux Rogue and would love to see some comparisons of this vehicle against some other utes
Cheers
yeah but give the triton a lift and better tyres to match and it will do even better.
As a first time 4wder, the Triton is a good option.
Yes, it's not the best out there, but drive to it's and your abilities and good times await.
Fuel consumption on both please ? would the manual have been better , thanks
Great review as always, I am pretty excited as I brought the 2022 SL and am looking at setting up a new wheel and suspension. Gives me a good idea how it will turn out done right..
Not really a comparison. Try comparing apples with apples. AT tyres and a lift. Pointless video.
Paid $59k for my Navara ST-X 6 months ago…. No the SL is not good value for money, even with the “fruit”
Me and my partner own both. Navara has coil suspension, and is easier to upgrade. Tritons better off the showroom floor
I own a single cab Navara, I'd go with it even here.
I still like the gsr mate . Great video 📹 👍
Thanks Dean happy you like it!
I'm sorry but the amount of times he mentioned the tyres has annoyed me enough to leave this comment. You can replace tyres. It is the motor, drivetrain, clearance, suspension, etc should be the focus not bloody tyres!
Reliability and quality of build should always be the no1 focus!
Some base models come with a manual, but they are never tested.
Probably forgot how to drive one.
Mitsubishi Triton is better, Nissan number three better put it on the cross country rally test competition championship, the winner is Mitsubishi Triton, comparison in handling stability manuvering cornering safety features intelligence engineering is Mitsubishi Triton.
Go for the Navara. Purchased a new Triton in 2021, 22,000km in and already requiring a new timing belt. Told it's not under warranty and will require $600 to replace. An item that should last up to 100,000km, lasting a fifth of its lifespans and not being covered under warranty on a new car is appalling. Service basically told me it's my problem and if I want it replaced I have to pay for it.
Why did the dealer decline the warranty? I own a 21 pro 4x with almost 25k km and I love it. No issues whatsoever. I recently upgraded suspension to an ironman foam cell and tires to a Maxxis Razr at (285/70r17) and it feels like a whole new truck.
@@jasona9354 because the belt was only covered for the first 20,000km. Absolute rubbish when they're supposed to last atleast 100,000+.
I think I'll get rid of the Mitsubishi soon and get something else after that, only went with Mitsubishi because I thought the 10 year warranty would be good to have, but not when the warranty barely covers anything it should.
🥱 450Nm & 430Nm……why in 2023 do they bother???
Because they don't break down as easy as Fords.
You throw suspension and tyres on the gsr then compare them you can't compare something that's already been tricked out make it an even playing field also Nissan and Mitsubishi have now partnered so it's almost comparing the same thing.
maybe in the future but these two vehicles are 100% devoid of any architecture or component sharing.
Mitsubishi Triton better
So much money and you get the interior of 2000's car. What a crap
Ssangyong Musso
new ford ranger raptor 3 liter v6 is best
You serious?
@@23860 yes
@@omgworldreels change a dealer asap bro
@@23860 why?
Those Raptors are next level and you pay a pretty penny for them as well!
Both of them are underpowered shitboxes to start with and then you get to pay more for lipstick 💄
Would take either ute far Better than the unfixable Hilux
Having owned a navara since new from 2019, I have to strongly disagree with that. It’s been an absolutely exceptional vehicle in my experience. For value for money you can’t beat it.
From a person who probably never owned or driven either of them 🤔
Some jealous Toyota owner who doesn't know their vechiles are overpriced and overrated shitboxes but talks shit on other companies
Ask Toyota to built a safe car atleast as safe as regional companies.
This is the same type of cunt that's like "oh land cruisers and hiluxes are the real 4wds" yeah OK bro🤣👌
