Sight Fishing River SMALLIES gets INSANE!!

  • It's that time of the year when the water is warming up and the fish start to feed up for spawning. The fish in small river are usually very dormant during the winter but can be very aggressive during spring. I went to search for smallmouth bass in a few different sections of the ocoee river in search of hungry bass.

i forget just how pretty that area really is when the water is up and flowing so hard during the rafting season... But when the water is low and you can see all those pools, and the structure of the river; its a master piece of the lords creation. And then you have the amazing wild life, and the incredible fishing ; like we just witnessed and you are overwhelmed. Praise God for the many gifts we have and let us never take them for granted. Another outstanding video John and thank you for continuing to entertain us. God Bless and GO KATS!!!!!!

The only thing about fishing clear water like that, is that you should keep a low profile. If the Fish can see you, they may not bite. But-If you sit down on the bank, or possibly a spot near the bank, but behind a clump of bushes or tall grass, you should catch more fish. Just a helpful hint.

ive caught redfish and largemouth with those kinds of deformations. Not sure why it happens, but the fish seem unaffected by it, still able to feed and fight like they should. couldn't tell a difference in take, fight and all that until they come out of the water and you get a good look at them.

You have so many schooling fish you may have to throw an umbrella rig and catch 3 smallies at a time!
