i forget just how pretty that area really is when the water is up and flowing so hard during the rafting season... But when the water is low and you can see all those pools, and the structure of the river; its a master piece of the lords creation. And then you have the amazing wild life, and the incredible fishing ; like we just witnessed and you are overwhelmed. Praise God for the many gifts we have and let us never take them for granted. Another outstanding video John and thank you for continuing to entertain us. God Bless and GO KATS!!!!!!
That is such an cool place to fish!!! Smallmouth are my favorite fish to catch....and also eat. You should do a catch and cook for Smallmouth. Love you new kayak too!!!
I can not say it too many times....you have the most perfectly beautiful places to fish as anywhere in the world! Thank you for helping a lot of us that either have no good place to fish or still stuck in winter....or both!!
Would love to have a few of those smallies also some of those b-u-t-ful rocks. I love the dappling water made. I believe this is one of the best-looking rivers you have fished. How could anyone think our Lord didn't make places like these for all to enjoy. Bless you, for making my day so enjoyable. Your videos keep getting better all the time
Nice productive outing, love the sight fishing bites. Gets the adrenaline pumping. My best topwater smally came across 25 yards of river in clear water to slam my popper. Jig bites are just as much fun. Thanks for sharing with us brother John.
Smallmouth fight like crazy. This is a great channel. Been goin back through watching some of your older videos again. Hoping you hit 100,000 subscribers if not more this year. Tight lines!
The only thing about fishing clear water like that, is that you should keep a low profile. If the Fish can see you, they may not bite. But-If you sit down on the bank, or possibly a spot near the bank, but behind a clump of bushes or tall grass, you should catch more fish. Just a helpful hint.
Thanks for the great fishing videos. Thanks to my broken foot this is how I keep my sanity. Can't wait to hit up the Bass fishing on the Chattooga River.
Gone fishing tomorrow and Thursday hope cricks go down some know the smallies are moving up here. Watching you catch them makes we want to that much more God bless you John
Such a beautiful creek and beautiful healthy fish. Thanks for sharing this with us. Very much fun. See you are approaching 100M. Keep it coming. Also thanks for telling us about the work before the fish. Nice to know the amount of effort it takes to "find the fish".
Very nice!! Suggestion: Take your needle nose and bear down on the hook barbs. They'll usually break off. Much easier to get the hook out when barbless. You won't lose as you always keep tight lines!
ive caught redfish and largemouth with those kinds of deformations. Not sure why it happens, but the fish seem unaffected by it, still able to feed and fight like they should. couldn't tell a difference in take, fight and all that until they come out of the water and you get a good look at them.
Really great running into you at Douglas lake. Hope to catch up sometime and maybe do an overnighter catch-n-cook, share some fun and videos with the peeps. Smoky Mountain Outpost
John-You may already know this, but in clear water such as this, try using Low Visibility Fishing Line. Stren makes what they call Lo-Vis Line, and it's available in any line weight that you need. Just trying to help.
Awesome video man! Would love to see you hit up parksville dam again. We keep trying but can’t have any luck there but I keep hearing stories of musky in there lol God bless!
Ma'am, I know that I don't know you, but hopefully you won't mind my offering my condolences, and I sincerely hope that he'll get well soon. God bless!
John, have you ever rigged any craws or hellgrammites backwards to normal rigging and let them glide differently through the water. Gonna start trying this some myself. You have so many schooling fish you may have to throw an umbrella rig and catch 3 smallies at a time!
I love the Ocoee river, if that is how you spell it, it is awesome for hiking, fishing and just hanging out. They intermittent openings for that you can picnic and enjoy. Nice job john ( I think that is your name) I love it! Great job!
Nice fish....I personally think the tooth patch test is unreliable - I've caught bass I knew were pure largemouths that had a patch. The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries continues to use the "test" for identifying spotted bass - if I'm ever in doubt, I look at the dorsal fin gap and/or the jaw/eye line.
As usual great video. Did you use your usual 1/10 oz. jig/ ned rig to fish the hellgrammite. Also, did you use an ultralight rod or something a bit heavier. Thanks for the video as it gives us all hope to get out of the pandemic doldrums.
What name of first lure you was using an have fish in Scott county Tenn in these creeks just move up here last year I got check these rivers out up here
Dang those rock features are cool as heck!! I just bought another Hobie and am moving up to Chatt here in the next month.. your videos got me stoked :D
I love when you fish these mountain rivers, reminds me of the time I went to Oconee county South Carolina. They had some beautiful spots like this, smallmouth everywhere.
Have you tried the Zoom Lil Critters (craw looking baits) or ultra vibe speed craws? Or the zman craws, and strike kings ned bugs? They work great up here in KY.
Man you need to go salt water fishing again. I spent 18 years of my life on the Gulf Coast. Theres nothing better than fishing those waters. So dynamic and such bio diversity. Cant beat it.
This. Right here. Small river smallmouth fishing. It will forever be my favorite way to fish.
Those rock structures are amazing and that water was so clear. Beautiful video Sir! Got my first Rock Bass out of a creek this morning.

I just don't know who had more fun . You catching all of the bass { and trout } or myself watching you catching all of them .
The thrill of seeing them eat it is like nothing else
That is such an cool place to fish!!! Smallmouth are my favorite fish to catch....and also eat. You should do a catch and cook for Smallmouth. Love you new kayak too!!!
Cool! We were just there this past weekend, camping (and fishing) at Parksville Lake CG. Caught my first 2 spotted bass (fishing newbie at 39 y/o).
I can not say it too many times....you have the most perfectly beautiful places to fish as anywhere in the world! Thank you for helping a lot of us that either have no good place to fish or still stuck in winter....or both!!
What a beautiful river! Thanks for sharing.
Yup, my friend, you dipped your hand in a cloud of liquid frog and her string of pearls lol. Nature is beautiful.
I've seen some nasty stuffs today, this beautiful river and big fish cleanse my eyes. Thank you!
That place looks awesome! Great job brother. God bless
Sight fishing is awesome ain't it? You do seem to find the most paradise type spots to fish at. Great job on this video.
Love it when you fish this river. Such a beautiful location, and so many cool features in it. Great video bud!!!!!
Beautiful place and even more beautiful fish
Great smallmouth fishing! These are the og creek fishing adventures videos now!
You've been killing it lately!

Good video John ...you have me wanting to fish over there now
I’ve been chompin’ at the bit to get back to the water and this has inspired me to MAKE time to get there! Great video John!
Smallmouth fight like crazy. This is a great channel. Been goin back through watching some of your older videos again. Hoping you hit 100,000 subscribers if not more this year. Tight lines!
I've got to get down that way sometime. Beautiful clear water!

That is some beautiful water. I'm looking forward to seeing more video from this area. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the great fishing videos. Thanks to my broken foot this is how I keep my sanity. Can't wait to hit up the Bass fishing on the Chattooga River.

John, thanks for the vicarious fishing trip. After a hard of fishing I will sleep well tonight.
Way to go , and thanks for all the walking you did and I hope to get to fish there one day.
Great video I have been trying to find some nice creeks to fish
Absolute Fire John!!! I live only 40min from there and will definitely have to try that out when the water is low.
Outstanding day of fishing! Those were some beautiful smallmouth, wish we had them like that around here. Great video John!
I love that dark green color on those river smallies.
I always enjoy your videos! I especially enjoyed your everglades videos. Thank you!
Very nice!! Suggestion: Take your needle nose and bear down on the hook barbs. They'll usually break off. Much easier to get the hook out when barbless. You won't lose as you always keep tight lines!
We love it up there. I figured all those fish were in there but just never had a rod with me when we were up there. Great day!!
I caught my first bass of 2021 on a cheap huggermitte that came in a creek fishing box from Walmart
My ex had a vague tooth patch. Warmouth. Take my word for it.
Hahaha!
Hilarious, know the feeling he's not only a warmouth but a largemouth in the making
OG fans will know that the first location he fished in already before
I think he caught at least a couple of Bass out of that spot, too, didn't he? I think that that was last year. Not sure, but I think so.
He has fished there atleast once before, possibly more
A tip : watch movies on kaldroStream. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Kobe Tate Yea, been watching on Kaldrostream for years myself :D
The sceneries you get to fish in are 2nd to none
Pound for pound, some of the best fishing in the world right there
Holy cow you are putting in so much effort! Nice job!

@@tenncutt oh thank you!
You hit a fantastic spot. You caught soo many nice small mouth bass. They would be good eating. Definitely would go back to that spot again.
ive caught redfish and largemouth with those kinds of deformations. Not sure why it happens, but the fish seem unaffected by it, still able to feed and fight like they should. couldn't tell a difference in take, fight and all that until they come out of the water and you get a good look at them.

Smoky Mountain Outpost
yeah man that would be fun
awesome fishing brother ! i can remember when that whole stretch of water was "dead" not even a minnow in it .

I've missed watching videos. My dad fell a week ago and has been in the hospital until today.
Ma'am, I know that I don't know you, but hopefully you won't mind my offering my condolences, and I sincerely hope that he'll get well soon. God bless!
A Dalton classic!
Great job John!
That was awesome. The wind is a little bit of a pain in the neck. 👍
Absolute beautiful place!!
Bend the barb down on the hook, you reel them in fast enough, they won't get off, also will make it easier to get the hook out.
Awesome. What a great day! That's how we like it.
John, have you ever rigged any craws or hellgrammites backwards to normal rigging and let them glide differently through the water. Gonna start trying this some myself.

Nice fish....I personally think the tooth patch test is unreliable - I've caught bass I knew were pure largemouths that had a patch. Now that looks fun dude!!!
What a great day of fishing.
Ohh yeah...Love it! Thank you!
Looks like a blast!
That river is beautiful
As usual great video. Did you use your usual 1/10 oz. jig/ ned rig to fish the hellgrammite. Also, did you use an ultralight rod or something a bit heavier. Thanks for the video as it gives us all hope to get out of the pandemic doldrums.
medium rod and 1/10 oz jighead
7:30 Those look to be American Toads. The males will have this loud mating call all night long. It is that time of year.
Yeah, they looked like toads and not frogs.
At least somebody knows the difference. They will be all the little black tadpoles you see around the edges of the water.
This video was so good just like all your videos.
What name of first lure you was using an have fish in Scott county Tenn in these creeks just move up here last year I got check these rivers out up here
You do look like you enjoyed yourself glad to see it
Dang those rock features are cool as heck!! I just bought another Hobie and am moving up to Chatt here in the next month.. your videos got me stoked :D
I love when you fish these mountain rivers, reminds me of the time I went to Oconee county South Carolina. They had some beautiful spots like this, smallmouth everywhere.
Is this the year of the 5 pound smallmouth. Hope so
oh i hope so

Beautiful river!
watching over and over / thinking about moving to Clarksville, TN. near my brother there. wonder if I should?.
Man you need to go salt water fishing again. I spent 18 years of my life on the Gulf Coast. Theres nothing better than fishing those waters. So dynamic and such bio diversity. Cant beat it.
