You’re one of the few people that actually makes sense when they describe things regarding these handhelds. You and cyber dopamine I feel like I can trust.
When you look at the performance-per-watt of Steamdeck then at 10w the 1 Megapixel (1280x800) screen is definitely ideal, but on the Z1E you can get much better "technical" efficiency running higher resolutions, to the extent that even the 4 Megapixel screen of the Legion Go is ideal in many games: th-cam.com/video/I37mxlDqLrk/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=1074 When quadrupling resolution only cuts framerate in half that's actually a huge win in performance-per-watt. I hate to promote people running lower framerates but half the reason for this is probably eliminating the memory bandwidth bottleneck by lengthening frame times, when VRAM data transfer speed is a fixed cost in your frame time that means a longer frame time allows the GPU to get A LOT more work done. In a perfect world all of these systems would have GDDR6 VRAM and memory wouldn't be a bottleneck, I have no idea why AMD won't produce a handheld using bespoke VRAM, all the Nvidia mobile GPU chips do, but I'm not in charge of AMD.
I just got my ally x coming from console. Just to dip my toes into something pc. These videos are super helpful. Thank you! Keep up the good work!
nice! glad this is helpful!
I don’t know why but my games is always crashing.
