I have a 2008 corolla I lost my original toyota key years ago. Here recently I found the darn things using lizard cam. Long story short, the fob only needed a battery replacement, the original key will lock and unlock the doors but when i try to start the car it will ony turn over and not crank the car. The key isn't damaged in anyway or there is any rust on it. My question is this, why want it crank the car? Does this key need to be reprogramed?

When you follow the instructions mentioned on this video and the power door lock doesn’t cycled, does this mean that the key fob can’t be programmed? And how can I get it programmed then?

Yes, your car probably doesn’t have this programming feature.
