    Beautiful video, beautiful you. Thank you so much for your nutritional knowledge, your humour, and your sharing. Plus your passion - it glows like the sunshine on a hot day. I love smoothies though not had regularly for awhile, and you’ve inspired me to get more in, eating more of them in my daily life. Yep, I’m a new subscriber now.

    Thank you. I live the idea to freeze my plant milk. Especially since I’ll be making my own. That will help it last longer

    😂😂😂😂 Melissa and aunt jaquee with the glasses
    I love smoothies and smoothie bowls...I also love to add my chia seeds.❤
    The fruits I use to take my smoothies to the next level are mangoes, banana, passion fruit and/ or avocado.

    I have found using bananas can also thicken a smoothie. Sometimes I add oats. they only problem I have with blood sugar is keeping it up where it is supposed to be. It is usually in the low seventies. I have found that strawberries make neon-pink smoothies, Blueberries make purple smoothies and blackberries make neon-purple smoothies. Haven't tried it with raspberries yet. If I haven't used the spinach and kale for something else, those also get added. Thank you for sharing these ideas and the idea of adding nuts is something new for me.

      Kathie glad you found what works for you. I also love adding bananas to thicken my smoothies, and playing with smoothie colors! So grateful you also got a new idea 😊

    Great timing. I was just thinking about getting back into making smoothies regularly. What blenders are y'all using? I'm shopping for one.

      I luv my Nutribullet. If you are looking for an affordable High Powered Blender. Get this one. It's the large one, it makes 64oz and my Vitamix too but it's a bit pricey.

    Where did u buy your juicer?

  • @taniaallan5702
    @taniaallan5702 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I’d just add that you should not blend on low when making a smoothie bowl, nice cream, nut butters etc. always use your tamper to guide the blend into the blades and always blend on high. Assuming you’re using a Vitamix, as in this video. The fan doesn’t kick in until it hits level 10, and you’ll overheat your motor if on low…eventually burning it out if you keep doing it.

    I really enjoy your channel and would love to take part in one of your fast. However, the science behind juicing shows it spikes glucose. Do you think you'd ever do a smoothie fast?

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey sis! I would totally love for you to join! Good news-cold-pressed juicing can actually be a safe, mindful option for managing blood sugar, especially with low-glycemic veggies and select fruits. Research shows that certain fruit and veggie juices can help stabilize or even lower fasting glucose levels since they’re nutrient-dense and have a low glycemic impact. Plus, scientists found that 100% fruit juices without added sugars generally don’t raise fasting glucose or long-term blood sugar (HbA1c) levels (way different from sugar-packed juices that spike blood sugar).
      My Healthy Hair Juice Challenge also includes balanced smoothie support that’s high in protein, keeping blood sugar levels steady. And I've labeled the juices “low-glycemic” for those who need it. Women in the challenge are already sharing health wins, including lower blood glucose! 🌱
