    As soon as I saw the S turn at the beginning of the taxiway, I knew that was the South Cargo area of KATL. I watched to see whether you were going out on 9L or 10. I've been working at KATL and know almost every inch of that cargo apron. Excellent video!!
    From the height, I'm assuming this was a 767, but I could be wrong.

    Two items I never noticed/realized. Striping appears to be non retro-reflective, and how little light is available to you from the taxi lights. Thanks for the post Cap.

    This has to be one of the better videos for air port markings that I have seen. There is nothing like a real first hand visual. Most of the other videos seem like the use of the game Operation for surgical training. Yes, I do realize this is not a training film but it makes a very good demonstration.

    Excellent video! I worked Ground/ATO years ago at TYS! So I got familiar with Taxi way lights and their meanings

    Oh my goodness. This was so beautiful and peaceful. I have such a terrible fear of flying (just went on vacation that required air travel), but this video makes me want to fly somewhere else now 🥺

    I've heard rumors that they have the engines running and parking brakes OFF when they do it. Please be aware that I have not personally confirmed this, but most of the rumors have come from reliable sources.

    Hello Captain. I just found your channel last night and subscribed. I love the relaxing music you choose for your videos and the text you use. There is usually enough time for me a slow reader to read it. I have been flying since I was very young, as a passenger, and have always loved it. But my last flight was in 2019. My family was from El Salvador and we usually arrived at that airport at night. So many blue lights more than any other airport I had seen back then. As a kid I used to think it was water. Now I enjoy collecting model airplanes as my new hobby. I wonder if you'll ever get to fly to SAL. Greetings from Central Florida.

    Very informative and interesting. Thank you so much for the video. I love watching the live feeds of airports departing and arriving flights. Subscribed to your TH-cam channel. Thanks again from a new follower.

    Lovely video! Many thanks for taking the effort to add the text at the right frames! Two suggestions: (a) you should have indicated (perhaps as text) on the taxiway(s) you were assigned after you left the ramp (b) what did you do to "look out" for the intermediate taxiways? Understand that you were going to 09L but it would have been helpful to know when you were given permission to cross 09R (presumably right at the start since there wasn't much traffic?). Hope to see future videos on how "location services" are adding a higher degree of automation in ground movements for suitably equipped aircraft. Regards.

    But how do you keep the nose wheels so precisely on the center line with that huge nose blocking your view?

    • @FromTheCaptainsSeat
      @FromTheCaptainsSeat  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question! Some airliners use visual cues in the flight deck such as an instrument that lines up with the centerline. Others might line up a certain spot on the windscreen to keep the centerline. There are some large airliners that have cameras mounted on the nose gear to align the aircraft with the centerline.

    Thank you for uploading this vid! Question: typically, what is the taxi speed at night and does it differ from the speed(s) used during daylight hours? Have subscribed now.

    • @FromTheCaptainsSeat
      @FromTheCaptainsSeat  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your question and for subscribing! Taxi speeds are typically the same during the day and at night. We do, however, slow our taxi speeds when the taxiways are wet (obviously!). 😊

      Same as the 777. 20-30 kts (in a straight line). Slower on the corners!!
