@Phe0nixRIzin Brook and Robin were the only crew members to not be too reluctant to join... Brooke said he'd be happy to if he were not preoccupied. Robin herself asked to join!
@Menkkapotilas is that a joke the Japanese version is the annoying one Japan conveys emotion differently and it just sounds stupid if you don't speak the language
@streetworst like I said you can't really get the full experience from something in a different language the Japanese convey emotions differently and I know there suppose to over act in the comedy scenes the dub does that too but even in the emotional scenes they sound stupid sometimes in Japanese
@MEGASTE100ify the emotion is the same like I said the Japanese version conveys emotion differently its the same emotion english and I can understand and feel for the characters but in Japanese it just sounds like there overacting if I spoke only Japanese I would find the english version weird it all depends on what language you speak
@Menkkapotilas I'm not hurt and I never said I was I'm just saying you'd have to be pretty stupid to think there's no emotion in the dub for One Piece have you seen the Arlong arc or the alabasta arc FUNimation dubbed if you have and still think think there's no emotion then you don't know what good acting and emotion is
@petplatypus No I wasn't joking. I have my own opinions and you have yours :) English dubbed anime just sounds awful to me and I think they don't put any emotion into it. That's it.
@petplatypus I speak english and I still like japanese better, what language you speak has nothing to do with which version you like better. i for one like the bit of overacting, because the whole anime is overacting, the movements they make are overacted. It just doesn't sound right when you say characters on the screen going nuts and then hear a calm voice, if character overact then the voice should also be overacted (my opinion)
