Dr. Hiriluk is my favorite backstory character (people that are very close to our main characters shown in their backstories). He’s funny and snarky, yet he’s very compassionate and committed to his dreams. He’s one of the two reasons why I loved Drum Island.

Dr Hiluluk was already at his death bed. Chopper had given his all to find a cure but what was brought back was the final panacea to Hiluluk’s suffering and that is death. However Hiluluk didn’t want to waste the opportunity to tell Chopper how much he meant to him. He would take that final gift as a mark of his love.
