Living With a 2024 Subaru WRX TR For 1,500 Miles and Two Weeks!

👋 We had the chance to drive the new 2024 Subaru WRX TR over the last two weeks. During this two week loan of the WRX TR, my wife and I drove to Michigan and back for a summer vacation. We drove exactly 1,500 in this car, so here is my two week review covering 1,500 miles in the Subaru WRX TR. Overall this seems like a solid sporty sedan. It was very economical getting 30 MPG on the entire trip with well over 400 miles of range. Very roomy car too and quiet on the highway. The Recaro seats I'd say are a bit more on the show side rather then purely functional. They are stiff feeling and the passenger side seat is very flat. The sport tuned suspension is on the stiffer side, but that really didn't both us for the long drive. The Subaru WRX GT has an adaptive suspension and an automatic transmission, so that would have been more ideal. The power in the WRX TR is fine, it's not a fast car, but it's peppy enough for some fun driving, and the handling is really good to be fun in the back roads. I do wish the sun visors slid back since the windows are so large. Dealign with the sun on the side of my face for many hours was very annoying, so I stuck an envelope in the window to block the sun. Also the multimedia screen has some lag to it which can get annoying along with climate control in the screen. So there were a few downsides with this car but overall I think the new Subaru WRX offers a lot for the money. Plenty of trim level to chose from with varying price points and options to pick the perfect sporty sedan for your budget and needs.
