just in case, when the 2025 model year comes out… look for a dealership trying to empty out the 2024 model years… they give massive discounts. I got my 2023 WRX base for $26k brand new with 9 miles on the odometer.
I recently purchased a 2024 WRX Limited and I can say it is one of the funnest car’s I have owned and it is very much worth the money. If you care about the small creature comfort’s I would try to reach for a Limited and wait until the price drops start going on, but overall 10/10
@@eatmynuggiez8911that's what I'm waiting for I'm thinking the 2025 model is coming out in March just like when the 2024 came out - I'm in Cali tho so idk if I'll get that much of a discount lol
I bought a base in magnetite grey 6 weeks ago for 2600 off msrp. I’ve added a few creature comforts and am enjoying the driving experience immensely after a 7 year lapse in driving standards. Now I can’t figure out why I ever bought an automatic. I figured the window to buy a car like this new is closing, and I’ve had a serious interest in this car since it debuted when I was in high school.
I just started at a Subaru dealership almost 2 months ago and I think I’m about to pull the trigger on WRX Base. Trading in a 4Runner SR5 but my note would go down by more than $150/mo.
Another factoid is this: Subaru says this car has 271 HP. There are several TH-cam videos where stock WRXs register only 4 HP less than a 2021 STI - that means, these things actually have around 300 HP. The ‘15-‘21 WRX didn’t have this. All this whining about no additional power on the VB is just misinformed.
I just got a base '24 wrx 2 days ago. Wanted some nostalgia from when I had a '90 civic way back when. That car had NO options. The wrx is nimble and powerful especially in 2nd gear. Its about the connection to the car while driving, much like Porsche. Its louder and demands to be driven. The only things I would have wanted from the Premium is blindspot alert and push button start. Got it from Wyoming Valley Subaru.
I just bought a 24 Limited for $39.5k OTD. No trade in or money down. The base should be standard with keyless entry. Premium should come with lumbar and blind-spot monitoring. The Limited should come with adaptive suspension. Otherwise, it’s a great value and a blast to drive. This is my first Subaru. I love boxer motors. Even my motorcycle is a boxer (BMW R1250R). 🤘
The 2024 is last year's model, but if you can get it with a big discount (e.g. 10% or more), then it might be worth it (depending how long you plan on keeping it). The 2024's also currently have 1.9% financing. Could get a great deal as dealer lots are chock full of these. I kind of like the portrait mode infotainment system. It's placement in the dash makes it really easy to access. I recently bought a '25 legacy sport which has the very same infotainment system (it has a similar turbo engine as well).
I just test drove a Civic Si the other day and I really wasn't a fan of it. The clutch was way to light, made it hard to drive smoothly. I'm sure it's something I'd eventually get used to. I need to go drive a WRX and see how it compares. If it's more old school that might be for me. I don't really need to AWD, but I am looking for something with a manual.
@@hughjainisis1683 I'm getting quoted $34.5k for a 24 premium with STI short shifter/shift knob, STI muffler, all weather liner/cargo tray, along with a few other accessories.

I really wanted one until I got in a 2014 Mustang GT. Bought it immediately and forgot about the WRX. But yes, if that is the car you want the base model seemed a better deal to me. That is, until they added that horrible tablet infotainment to the base model. Definite no buy from me. Previous model had two small screens instead and worked much better. That tablet is complained about by EVERYONE that reviews these cars, absolute trash.
A WRX is a car I will never buy used and only the lowest miles. Too many of them suffer clutch and transmission problems because of drivers who trash them.
All you have to do is get a mustang ecoboost high performance pack and you can get 50+ more horsepower/tq out of the box with fully loaded options. It makes no sense why people get these
Did that - after my ‘16 WRX. It was fine until the 10R80 shit the bed at 4,000 miles and Ford was in denial that they had a design issue. Even GM stopped using that GM-Ford transmission. POS. Drove it to a Subaru dealer and got a ‘23 WRX. An Ecoboost (now only with the 10R80) is a bad idea. There are several class-action law suits against Ford over that transmission, and yet, Ford is in denial. Never again.
Silly slowbaru... I just got a '24. They say its as fast as an STI - if so, id be so bored with older subarus! Didnt really want the car bought it out of "yucks". After the 1k break in period im going to go back to my daily, a 92 tercel. Im just gonna pay it off & probably sell it to some dumb kid for 30k 😂. Its an alright car. It doesnt make jump or giddy like my '10 IS F. OH WELL! Subaru... I tried to live the hype. Its been only 3 days and im kinda over it already 😂
Yeah, I will be buying this car around December. I’m excited.
