Hi, good video. I've been living in UK for the last ten years and it's funny how british people get surprised when they are stopped by the police and even without ID when it's the most common thing in other countries. You would have spent the evening at the police station somewhere else ...lol. It's great that it is like these. thanks for the videos . Gus
Hi Mark, no he wasn't, but in other countries you will be taken to the police station for not having an ID and you don't have to go to far, In Spain for example. Not having ID in UK is something unique . Gus

Surprised they were OK with being filmed in view of the job their doing. Nice little film though, well done for showing it.
Frank Keller well they are protecting high target buildings and any way it isn’t really that hard because any one can access the dark web and get next day delivery on a firearm so in reality there’s still a high firearms risk in the uk and the only way for police to take control of criminals with firearms is with firearms and these are not agents these are armed officers which every police force but do you really believe the government all the time because the police and crime commissioner is calling for the government to allow all officers to at least carry guns and in the month of October london had more firearm related deaths than New York City

Amazing how much kit the police have to wear, the police were very nice I got pulled over once and the officer apologized because he read my plate wrong and thought it might be a stolen vehicle and then stepped out and stopped the highway traffic so I could exit safely. And I can say Canadian police are as friendly if you are to them, you’ve done nothing wrong nothing to fret.
Steve Marshall in the US they man in the street usually asks if it’s ok to reach for his ID or the guns come out thank goodness our armed cops have a great deal more common sense
Not surprised there are accidents on that road. There’s always gravel on the bends. A mate was lucky to get his car back in one piece from near there once. His sons ‘borrowed’ his car but ran out of petrol. Ended up having to abandon it and hide in the bushes until one of their mates turned up with a jerry can. Not an ideal place to do that sort of thing!
FYI, for future reference your phone has lots of ID type info under settings, and also if you have any cards setup under Apple Pay.....! You could also put your DL and PP photos into an Album for easily locating then.! 👍🏻
Photography is not a crime, but because the Flyer was in charge of a motor vehicle they have the right to ask for details of identity to see that everything is legal.
A few CB radio mates of mine were up on Coombe hill, which over looks Chequers, and special branch popped down (or should I say popped up). It's happened a few times to others apparently.
That’s a common situation. Once, I was abroad for a professional meeting and I did lost my wallet and it brought me a lot of difficulties at the time. Since then I made the digitalization of all my documents and now I lock the originals in the safe.👌🏻
Forgotten about strange UK laws. Over here in the 'States you must always carry licence, Insurance card, and a Title Card (I've forgotten what the proper name of this is but it confirms the owner of the vehicle). If you don't have two out of three of these on you the vehicle is towed and you are left by the side of the road. Best, Pete.
I always find armed police to be the most down to earth people ever sometimes, met a good few of them in the past and have nothing but respect and admiration for those I've met.
It's so nice to see a pleasant encounter with the police in this video, so often I see antagonistic, irate, provoking and confrontational videos that escalate unnecessarily. You sir are a polite and courteous gentleman. Thank you for sharing this.
The key to this all ending well was that the Police officers were friendly. If they start off friendly then they are far less likely to get someone's back up. The moment they start off with the "What are you doing here? We think you're a criminal" approach that's when people respond badly and it just escalates. They should use this video for training Police officers.
@@OffbeatRefrigerator So what? All good Police officers will fish for information, it's literally their job to do that! That doesn't mean they weren't friendly. This video proves my point. It doesn't mean I'm "delusional" for pointing out that their friendly style is a more effective one than that of an inquisitor..
Yeah, it's effective with people who don't know better like the author of the video. My point is they are not your friends and are always trying to incriminate you. I cringed throughout the whole thing and had to stop when he let them look through his pictures. Absolutely pathetic.
@@OffbeatRefrigerator The Police officer asked to see the photos because clearly the property is a high category location from a National Security perspective. The officer was verifying the veracity of the biker's claims / statements. You are the kind of person who would be the first to criticise the Police if they didn't bother to check the legitimacy of a claim and something bad happened as a result. By the way - "Friendly" doesn't mean "Your friend" - it's a style which is non-threatening and, in this case, it resulted in a very pleasant exchange. It's people like you who prefer to make things difficult for no reason. And don't try denying it - you're doing it on this thread.
5:57 "Just in the future, if you are doing more stuff here, you will likely be stopped again ..." Wondering if that was a general statement, or the fact you are now on file / watch list ?
...in fairness you didn't see the bit where they asked me what I was doing and I explained I was taking pictures for my You Tube channel, as I had no ID on me I thought if I told them the channel name they could verify my story by looking up the channel...it may have sounded to you like one of those annoying "do you know who I am!?" type moments but I can assure you it was anything but that....
Good thing you didn't tell them you had a pilot's licence. Left home in Cambridgeshire and realised I was not going to make my mate's place without filling up then realised I had just pocket change as my licence was in another jacket. Luckily managed to register my card on my iPhone while at the station. When I had a top box always tucked £20 away in case
At a glance that looks like a small calibre automatic pistol on your left glove, had me wondering for a moment. At 2:16 gives a decent view. Imagine holding you hands up and being approached from behind by some twitchy US cops, don't fancy your chances there.
You’re very polite, good job, here in the states the police 9 out of 10 times would just write you a ticket and they wouldn’t at be interested to look at your phone. Totally different here. Sometimes in small towns it’s better because everyone knows everyone. 👍
And the police don't have to let you go on your way if you can't prove your are legitimately allowed to be riding the bike you are on. Manners, co-operation and common sense cost nothing.
How did looking at the photos he’d just taken help verify he was riding the bike legitimately? There were no reasonable grounds for the police to believe everything wasn’t in order, so they couldn’t have stopped him going on his way. They are easily able to check the PNC to see if a vehicle is reported stolen, current registered keeper, insurance, tax, MOT, the drivers driving licence details etc. They didn’t even issue a HO/RT1/ aka producer so can’t have been too concerned about his identity. I agree manners, co-operation and common sense cost nothing and think people should always treat others with respect but remember it works both ways - in situations like this, the police have no right to look at people’s photos or Facebook accounts but by asking for such details, it puts law-abiding people in a difficult position as the majority don’t want confrontation and wish to co-operate with the police so will feel pressured into sharing personal information that they are not obliged to provide (and Facebook isn’t a legitimate way for the police to confirm ones identity anyway).
As a former Brit, but now US, I find it amazing how y'all can be out on the road without license, registration, proof of insurance and vehicle ownership. They each take up no space and avoid a lot of hassles if/when stopped for any reason. Be safe out there, did she call yet? :-)
The cops have ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) now so they can see before they stop you if the vehicle is registered to you, you are taxed, insured etc UK (EU) Driving licenses now have photo ID so they can ID you via the PNC and match your face with the one on your license You are required to produce these items but not carry them with you (a stolen car with these documents in it can "pass off" as the legal owner) usually you are issued a form called a HORT1 which gives you 7 days to produce the documents at a convenient police station
@@motovlogger3978 Thanks for that information. Sounds like a good tool for the cops to know if there might be an issue/s before they approach the subject. I carry all my docs in my wallet, as well as on my phone. Nothing to hide, minimal checking and or delay if stopped. Be safe!

“There’s always something going on” - I’m 100% sure that’s a line from Hot Fuzz, this coppers been watching too many police movies
I love that film..."yaarrp"
Damn you reached for your phone and didn't get shot?!!! Definitely not the US
Steve Marshall in the US they man in the street usually asks if it’s ok to reach for his ID or the guns come out thank goodness our armed cops have a great deal more common sense
Oh yeah - good point!
Didn't even have to give ID photography is not a crime
Photography is not a crime, but because the Flyer was in charge of a motor vehicle they have the right to ask for details of identity to see that everything is legal.
Alex bionicsqwint
That’s correct .
He’s not committing/committed a crime .
The police start phishing!
@flip inheck If that is private land, and he does not have the landowner's permission, it is still not a crime. Trespassing is a civil matter.
blurring his speed so nobody can use it against him when he goes over the limit 🤣🤣
Ha ha norty boy. “ you know that bit of dual carriageway where you can ring the neck of it?”😂😂
A few CB radio mates of mine were up on Coombe hill, which over looks Chequers, and special branch popped down (or should I say popped up). It's happened a few times to others apparently.
CB Radio - is that still a thing?
Wow I like your speedometer,it automatically goes blurred when you're speeding.
Hah funny.
Decent coppers though.
They carry a lot of crap on em.
Can't be fun when wrestling offenders.
No, hats off to them, not a job I could do (being a bit of a wimp doesn’t help)...
Pretty sure you don't have to wrestle anyone when you have an ar15 ready to go.
Or in pursuit of them lol
@@TheGoldenPig.
I'm pretty sure it's not shoot first ask questions later.
That was Hogan's Heros.
@Ritch
Too much.
I never leave my house without ID or bank cards!
But I’m not even going to your house.
It would be fun to compare this police response with how this would have gone down in America.
Best, Pete.
You managed to avoid the Tower of London .
Thanks Jonny!
Hey mate. Is it okay if I use it in my compilation? Full credited ofc.Thank you.!
Sure thing....
The key to this all ending well was that the Police officers were friendly. If they start off friendly then they are far less likely to get someone's back up. The moment they start off with the "What are you doing here? We think you're a criminal" approach that's when people respond badly and it just escalates. They should use this video for training Police officers.
you're delusional. they were fishing for information and waiting for him to talk himself into trouble
5:57 "Just in the future, if you are doing more stuff here, you will likely be stopped again ..."
Wondering if that was a general statement, or the fact you are now on file / watch list ?
‘You mean you don’t know who I am’ , bet you were thinking 😂😂😂
...in fairness you didn't see the bit where they asked me what I was doing and I explained I was taking pictures for my You Tube channel, as I had no ID on me I thought if I told them the channel name they could verify my story by looking up the channel...it may have sounded to you like one of those annoying "do you know who I am!?" type moments but I can assure you it was anything but that....
I was only teasing, I say it all the time, it’s only coz I can’t remember who I am, it’s the dementia you know😳
don't take photos outside a stately pile that we own and pay for lol, papers citizen !
Great video Mukka, thank you 👍
Big kudos to the male cop for sporting the TBL patch 👮♂️👮♀️
TBL patch??
@@TheMissendenFlyer Thin Blue Line mate,
Good thing you didn't tell them you had a pilot's licence.
Your so naughty....haha.
Agreed the British police are the best in the world
*Were
The plod were very friendly too.
What a very pleasant change from "are you detaining me" and "no i'm not telling you my name". Thumbs up.
Thanks :0)
You’re very polite, good job, here in the states the police 9 out of 10 times would just write you a ticket and they wouldn’t at be interested to look at your phone. Totally different here. Sometimes in small towns it’s better because everyone knows everyone. 👍
This is the UK... you’re not required to carry ID, let alone show the police your photos, Facebook account etc.
This has to be your best video of 2019...so far 😂. When asked for your license, you should have said 007 😉
Take note American cops.
As a former Brit, but now US, I find it amazing how y'all can be out on the road without license, registration, proof of insurance and vehicle ownership. They each take up no space and avoid a lot
of hassles if/when stopped for any reason. Be safe out there, did she call yet? :-)
...still waiting....
The cops have ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) now so they can see before they stop you if the vehicle is registered to you, you are taxed, insured etc
UK (EU) Driving licenses now have photo ID so they can ID you via the PNC and match your face with the one on your license
You are required to produce these items but not carry them with you (a stolen car with these documents in it can "pass off" as the legal owner) usually you are issued a form called a HORT1 which gives you 7 days to produce the documents at a convenient police station
@@motovlogger3978 Thanks for that information. Sounds like a good tool for the cops to know if there might be an issue/s before they approach the subject. I carry all my docs in my wallet, as well as on my phone. Nothing to hide, minimal checking and or delay if stopped. Be safe!
You have a better temperament with local law than most bikers in Bucks & NoHo, well done 👍🏻
NoHo???
