There are some nice lighting options on there, but I think I'd give the speakers a miss too.... and the thunderstorm, that would freak my fish *right* out! 🤣
The music additions to the kit reminds me of going to a public aquarium, I think it has good use as a display- like in a pet store, show etc.
Those sunset background colors are pretty sweet

Cool stuff. Next kit includes a bluetooth intercom for the fish to ask for food and what not via the speakers.
I think the orange shades look really good for the background and i personally think the speakers would be a great edition for some people if you could add your own sounds for themed aquariums or if you find some nature sounds that would go great with the view of your aquarium

I really like the background light but I wish more companies would make affordable *submersable*, programmable lights that grow plants. I'd love to put an over tank filter on one of my aquariums but it shades a large area below. Thanks for another great video!
My goldfish had a stereo for a short time. All was good until one of them started blasting Led Zeppelin’s immigrant song at 2:00 am. Needless to say, I have taken the stereo away.

Livestream, absolutely!! What do you think on doing an in depth tutorial on setting up a fluval sea evo 15? My goal for this winter is to get into a small saltwater system, I don't know if I'll fit or not...lol.

Thank You for the great video! I was definitely wondering about the circadian (think thats spelt right) light. I like my finnex planted 24/7 klc to where it has the 8 different programmable time frames.
We have the Current satellite freshwater LED..my fish love it..its not fancy..no music..no timer..but I change the setting a lot..its full spectrum ..and was rated for good plant growth..I start off with low light then at feed time I place it in bright light..which is really bright..then later afternoon I turn it to clouds cover..then for the evening we do moon light..I have noticed the Cory's react to the light and are out and about more in the low light times..we give them a lighting storm when we have one..over all its a lovely light ..I have two 10g next to each other..once I get them new glass lids..I may try another over the two tanks..I thought it would make the set up look a bit more modern..

It's fun to watch you set up your, high-tech products. I was just commenting to Discus Keeper that the LED light he recently purchased and showcased on his channel is very nice, but rather expensive. I have most of my lights on timers, which come on after room lights are already illuminated. I try to avoid turning aquarium lights on in a dark room so as not to startle my fish.
I don't have CO2. But, I recently set up a 10-gallon tank with potting soil and have started with water wisteria (Hygrophila difformis) and water sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides) in hopes that it will out-compete algae for free-floating nutrients such as iron. Though I read that potting soil does the most for rooted plants after it has been in water for six weeks, I moved my dwarf sagittaria (Sagittaria subulata) to the tank after just a couple of weeks. It should do better there than in my 75-gallon tank which has Fluorite and gravel with root tabs and a weekly addition of Thrive liquid fertilizer. The java fern (Microsorum pteropus)
and anubias are doing well in the 75-gallon tank, though.

The only thig I can think of to justify the speaker function (for your tank) is to play Tardis sounds through them.
Livestream would be great.
The speakers are so they can communicate with you: "Give us food! Hey! The water is getting stinky!"

I've got a Current Satellite LED+ light on my 10 gallon tank.
I love the control options for it, but it doesn't do much for my plants unfortunately (algea does well).
It's a cold water tank so that may be part of the problem.
I'm also thinking of adding plants

Can you switch the music? I recently discovered that YT has channels and channels of just soft or hard or thundering, rain. Some play for 12 hours. I play it over my TV, blacked out, and the tanks in my room get the relaxing benefits, with me. I like the lighting choices. Great review Sean. Thanks!

Although the music feature can be kinda cheesy in a home setting, I can see it working on an aquarium in a dentist's office reception area or a lobby, on low volume.
Are you able to get it to cycle OFF at the end of the day? I bought the largest one just short of my 72" reef and so far cannot get it to go off? Owned their 72" 2 years ago and it was perfect on doing that but this one hope I am missing something....******** Think it is solved. In the manual did not say Moonlight was on for 6 hours and gave no time. It looked like it was on forever in the drawing...
How is this lighting for bioactive terrariums specifically for plants does it improve growth and bloom color etc ...
Hey there, I'm a new subscriber and recently saw a video you made where you moved a tank that you had been keeping for your sister. You were saying she was going to put a figure eight puffer in it. I have been looking into getting one and was curious if you know how often they have to eat things like snails to keep their teeth filed down? Some people have been saying they need it every day, and others say a couple times per week. I'm just trying to get an idea of of how expensive it will be to feed one.

How are the plants growing with this light?
Hi pectec I was wanting to buy this for my 29 gallon (it’s the standard 29 you can get from petco) I couldn’t ask the company because they wouldn’t respond but can you tell me which one to buy so I can make my aquarium look good
I’m not sure after this video they never really worked with me again. But I didn’t end up using it long. It’s probably an ok light. But you can do similar things with a strip of leds on a timer and any other light.
Is the light good for plants?
Is this still in your collection after a year? You ever try it on a black background? Would it show/bleed ANY color on black vs frosted?
The colored background probably wouldn’t work as well.
I bought a Fluval 46 litre tank,love it and its the first tank Ive had.Decided that black sand would look great in it,let it run for a couple of weeks ,then introduced neons and guppies,being a newbie to this,I wanted to be careful .Lost a lot of them,gave away what was left and replaced them with a couple of catfish and some cichlids,same again,cichlids slowly died off :( Completely drained my aquarium,took out the sand and plastic plants and put three very young baby guppies in to have some kind of indication of what the problem was,I reckoned if they survived then anything could.Theyre thriving,so I reckon the black sand might have a lot to do with me losing a lot of fish :( I could be wrong,but the three tiny guppies I have right now are going from strength to strength..all I have to do now I think is add the right sand,was upsetting to lose fish,hope Ive now cracked it x
I doubt it was your sand killing the fish
your tank was probably still cycling, that could have been the reason for fish loss. Did you use Stability? If not, I highly recommend using it along with Prime.
I had cycled the tank for about 2 weeks and treated the water before adding the fish,Ive since done a bit of research and a lot of comments I read about dying fish were people who used the black sand and were blaming it.I dont suppose I'll ever know for sure,but on the upside my tiny guppies are thriving :)
I really wish I knew what it was,was upsetting to see them all dying off,managed to save one or two and gave them to my brother,theyre fine now,but Im starting from scratch and hope Ive more luck this time :)

yea i think that this is very cool but the music takes away from the natural sounds =( being able to buy component kits would be cool like if you didnt need/want the top light or the speakers&sound and just want the controller and back light effects... since most of us already have the main lights...

I’m not a fan of the music. I would prefer nature sounds instead of music. I guess I could put those on my device and make a playlist for it. Probably wouldn’t go to the effort. I like the light options. I have low light plants so it’s probably enough light for me. Thanks for the review.

Seems gimmicky a little bit. Just give me a dimmable light, with the correct spectrum, with 660nm reds.

I'll give credit where credit is due, the back lighting is awesome.
Though I really wish light manufacturers would stop with the gimmicks. As if the idiotic blue 'moon' lights weren't bad enough, now we get speakers, ugh. All the while not giving true programmable lighting schedules.

Nice! But I hope they can reduce the plastic wrapping in the box. The amount of plastic in our rivers and seas is enough, and is damaging all the wonderful aquatic creatures we love. Please let them now about this! Every bit counts!

Hey Sean ! WOW lights for the people and fishes to freak out. The full spectrum we all need and the timer and what you should ask them to have a fader as the morning comes the mid day and as the night comes. Nothing else. Strobe light and the disco effect is for people not to freak the fish or shrimp out. Sound is again for people cause the sound effect freaks fish out and makes them jump and the constant sound wave stun the fish. Like humans when a constant sound we hear. This light is for people and not for fishes and plants. Sean you knw better then that if you have 12 tanks all with remote control you need 12 on your phone to operate it when you not home from work you play a thunder for them may be a half hour at lunch time. I think it's really stupid and very unnecessary the whole thing and I bet is very expensive like over 200$. Sadly those people who manufacture these things are not serous hobbyist only want to be money makers for useless things people by anyways. I said it to so many people and spreading the word to make a light that has the timer and the fader built in and full spectrum and no moon light. That's all. no remote please and could be attached to other lights too in a multi tank set ups. It would cost 20$ may be more a little as the bigger tank and bigger fixture. Also have it from the whole length of the tank so the 2 end won't have dead zone and wider as the tank size. 10in the 10 gal tank the 20 is 12 in wide and so on. Make them for each standard tank sizes and consider the depth from the 12 in deep to like 30 in deep for some big tanks. There is no serious aquarist would ever use a light like this cause it's a joke and looks good in a disco and no need to be there like from home you make the disco n your local community center light and music show from home and no need to be there. Look at all those button on that remote. So ridiculous lol. I can't believe people making things like this yet what we need they don't. Anything to make a buck. But I guess a 10 years old kid goes in the store and wow mom or dad can I have these it's so amazing. Like putting an angel fish with a puffer and a Betta in a 2.1/2 gal tank lol Just add water and next morning they all dead. See son no more fish. So sad but I seen these before. So a big thumbs down on this light Sean !
