  • Getting up in the morning to workout on January second is pretty easy, but why does it become more difficult as the year continues? In this dynamic presentation, Adithya explores the science behind motivation.
    Adithya Chakravarthy is a Grade 11 student at the University of Toronto Schools. At his school, Adithya is a senior executive in the Speech and Debate Society. Since grade 9, he has debated in tournaments across North America and Europe. He is also one of leading Indian Classical Vocalists in North America and has performed in venues across the globe. He has won various music awards including the Carnatic Music Idol USA Junior Title. Adithya’s public speaking and debate performances have helped strengthen his persuasion skills. His TEDx talk will be focusing on ways people can motivate themselves to complete various tasks even when they struggle to find the drive necessary. When Adithya isn’t debating or leading a club, you will likely find him reading a science fiction novel or watching cooking shows.
    This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

    Notes🤌
    -> Start small
    -> Enjoy the processs & make the process enjoyable
    -> Motivation is a skill which means it can be taught.
    -> Inner motivation ( doing for the just the sake of doing it ) is way more powerrful than outside motivation

    I always make the mistake of overcommitting with an unrealistic load of workouts to jump right into after 0 exercising for months, so I think I should really try that method for exercise

    My New Year's resolution is confidence I am so awkward.
    Update it's now 2021, I became "popular" I prefer well known. But I have so many new friends. My life is now genuinely better I am awkward at times. But I'm happier.

    The FitnessGram PACER Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

    The best advice should be not to make any New Year’s resolutions. I know it’s not really a popular opinion in today’s world of Facebook & Instagram success but it’s better for you.
