It rained the whole time we were in Savannah, but we enjoyed it anyway. Next time you're there, we recommend eating at Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room at 107 West Jones Street. They serve every southern dish imaginable family style. You sit at large tables with strangers and pass around the platters of food that the servers keep bringing to your table. It was good food! Meeting other people was fun too.
I grew up in Savannah and never knew about all the things that are now apart of the tours. So one day when I visited my hometown after many years I took a guided tour to learn and see many of the sights I missed growing up.
I purchased one of those power packs off of Amazon. My husband was not thrilled with my purchase. Now it is with him all the time. It has saved us numerous times.
Great surprise and just what I needed to watch with Presley my all black 1 year old super handsome kitty who watches with me and those ears are moving and his front paws. ❤️🐈⬛❤️
Sondra, please do a video of your scrapbooking process and crafting set up. My boyfriend watches your channel for the RV banter. I watch you for the sticker/scrapbooking jokes. As a part-time RV-er and a full time professional craft designer, I really enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing your travels.
Hi, Michael, yes, we fulltime RV travel 365 days. No house, no plot of land and we don't "winter" anywhere. Usually, we stay 1-2 weeks in an area and then hit the road to the next place. We enjoy sharing our experiences with everyone. Glad you stopped by. Hope you enjoy the channel.
Back when we were "newbies", we got caught by missing the "truck exit" somewhere in upstate New York. Thankfully the road was not well travelled (at that time anyway 😀) and the median was flat and grassy, so we were able to complete an illegal U-turn without having to call the authorities to help us out of our bind! As soon as we got home from that trip, we purchased a trucker's atlas of sorts that listed every single low-lying bridge in North America. We also measured the height of our RV in both metres and feet and posted it on the dashboard of the truck. You can't be too careful! Great video 🙂
Thanks for the information. New trailers are expensive, so used can be a great option. If you do the work yourself you can save so much. Also depends how you use your trailer, occasional not everyday or on a property. Thanks.

Yes. You can see dolphin from the shore… almost daily on the Carolina beaches. They like it cooler in the day and follow schools of fish. Beautiful footage you guys!❤
I work a couple of miles from that Lowes! Nice to have you around the neighborhood. If your daughter lives close by you probably already know about Big Bobs BBQ, but if not you should give it a try next time.

The park in Savannah looks so lovely. It's so gorgeous that living nearby and walking through it a few times a week would be really good for one's mental health.
Hi, I am a first-time watcher to your video ..😂 I have enjoyed the journey as well as your jokes😊. I hope I wasn't in your way much...lol I tried blending in with the furniture 😂😂
Typically watch on Thursday nights with Popcorn and the Pups! But today we are having brunch in the early afternoon and watching… painting the house this morning! So delay start. Love watching your videos, it is a family pack affair.
You can put a battery switch on your car to keep it from discharging. I have a van that sits a lot I put a trickle charger on the battery and a switch to keep it from running down, also works a little for security the van will not start unless you flip the battery switch. Would be good on the semi also to have a switch. Thank you for the long video it was excellent to watch. David thank you for all you do so Sandra gets the photos she shares with us. Stay safe and healthy.
Tybee is our favorite spot. Dolphin watching tip: go to the end of Polk Street walk the path and youll be at the end of the river/ocean: dolphins are always there all the time! We carry kayaks with us and we paddle WITH the dolphins...just marvelous:)
As someone who scrapbooks…I’m laughing at the photo ops you’ve dragged your husband to, trying to get the perfect picture of a flower, and making a u-turn for stickers 😂🤣
Wow what an epic video. Had to stop at intermission on Thursday night to get popcorn and use the bathroom. Got distracted and finished last night. I enjoyed the video.
The Garmin has a memory card slot in the back. So if the problem is it freezing up maybe put a 32 gig sd card into it. I drive truck and mine used to do the same until I put the memory card. Good luck
I would really love for you to show one of your journals and how you use the stickers you get from all of your adventures. I’ve started an adventure journal for our trip to Alaska this summer. Please inspire me!!!!
What a wonderful trip with you guys in Savannah! That looks like an amazing place and we absolutely love all the older buildings and the trees! And your critique of the Porta-Potty was too funny! Thanks for sharing!❤️~Wendy
Our pleasure, Wendy! Such a great place stuffed with history and beauty. We were shocked on the port-a-potty. So clean! Thank you for watching the channel.
After doing construction work with my hubby for almost 30 years, all over the Pacific Northwest, I can appreciate how shocked you’d be at a clean Porta-Potty. Not many out there 🤣 Glad you found one👍🏼 Take care and safe travels 😎
Thanks for a great video. Visited Savannah a few years ago and thanks for the memories. 12 days on the filter! Glad that junk did not make it into your water system. Further up the road, closer to Charleston, did you visit The Angel Oak Tree? Largest Live Oak east of Mississippi River. 300 to 400 years old. Circumference of 25.5 feet.
Our pleasure! We have seen the Angel Oak several times from visiting Charleston over the years. I think we effectively had RO water! 😆 🤣 Thanks for your comments.
We may have to buy it comes down to convenience and if power is available with no rain. 😆 We now have a portable in the Smart. Plus I changed the battery. Thanks
I purchased a 20w solar panel that sits on the dash of my Corolla that I rarely drive, and it keeps the battery fully charged! I acquired it at Amazon!
Hi guys!! Really enjoyed this video today. Sondra, I say the same thing to hubby when we see a Hobby Lobby truck!! 😂 I've spent the last couple days packing my 3 craft bags to take when we hit the road in a couple weeks. Left one bag empty for what I find at Hobby Lobby next Saturday. My kids gave me a gift card to Hobby Lobby for Mother's Day. Meeting 2 of my daughter's for my birthday lunch then we're going shopping. Two out of 4 daughter's like to craft with me. 🥰 Thanks for bringing us along, beautiful scenery!! 💜
Oh my, Carol. You have the same "bug" that Sondra and our daughter have... if you pass a Hobby Lobby and don't stop, you feel sick! Lol 😆 😆 Good idea to have an extra bag and good luck on hitting the road smoothly! Thanks for watching.
On your hot water heater I keep a spare set of the thermostat an relay with me all the time in my Coach . If you get the least of a power surge when you are plugged into different camp ground they will burn out very easily even with a surge protector.
Thanks, Brian! 😃 It's our life on the road. We produce the videos for our memories but they seem to have caught on as our channel has grown quite a bit. We enjoy this lifestyle and experience new areas. This summer is just getting started. We'll see you next week.
Thanks for a great video. I've never been to Savanah. It is a really beautiful city. My hubby and I have been to Garden City, SC a few times and every morning when the ocean was smooth as glass we would see schools of dolphins breaking the water not 20 feet from shore. We enjoyed sitting out on our balcony watching them. It was so peaceful.
That's cool, Linda. Garden City is nice... away from the bustle of Myrtle Beach and it gives you that true Beach vibe. The restaurant on the sound side is pretty good. Thanks for watching the channel.
That was a great video!! I’m from Georgia and learned so much about Savannah and Tybee! This will help us next time we visit there (my family is from Augusta; his is from La Fayette). I wanna jump on that trolley!
The trolley is a great way to see Savannah and lots of fun to hop off and experience the area. Glad you enjoyed it and we're excited to have you along on the journey. 😊
Been there so many times always interesting. Something new every time. Period that was back when I owned the house in Augusta Georgia. But partying in Savannah on a weekend was so much fun.
Well that was a Super-sized vlog and I enjoyed all of it. You and Sondra make fantastic tour guides and I would join your tour any time. You 2 make me laugh with each vlog you put out and of course roll my eyes at some of the dumb “dad jokes”. You always keep it real. As much as I’m not into historical stuff I’m looking forward to your spin on Gettysburg and all of your adventures. Until next week … take care.
Thank you so much for showing us beautiful Savannah and Tybee Island, oh how I would love to visit there. As usual your video shots and photographs were outstanding. I'm a tree lover and live in Pacific NW (so we've got some beauties) but those huge gnarled oaks with the hanging moss are outstanding. So romantic! As usual I look forward to next Thursday for your next adventure and whatever Handyman Deluxe David is fixing. 😊
Our pleasure! We love the redwoods and sequoia trees up there but the live oaks are truly unique with the moss. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.... oh, maybe I'll take a "handyman" break next week! 😆 🤣
Another super cool video! It’s been years since I was in Savannah. Loved the humor as always. ah yes, the boiled peanuts - somehow I never could get to enjoy those… Take care
One year ago at this time we were in Savanah and Tybee Island. We also toured the fort. So glad to see it all again. We also biked Hilton Head. We had 10 days and loved it all. Enjoyed your video.❤️
i can highly recommend a NOCO GB40 jump start pack i have even started a truck with mine available on AMAZON lol watched further and you already have it covered
I've got the gb 70, only needed it once so far, but it got my 5.9 cummins diesel started on a very cold day, so I could get to the battery store and replace the previous batteries which were 10 years old. I should have changed them sooner but the NOCO did its job.
Thank you so much for your wonderful movie length experience of Savannah and it's surroundings. We are so pleased that you finally fixed your water heater and battery issues. Cannot wait until your next video to see what you have in-store for us to enjoy. God bless 🙏 you both, with much ❤️ from Melbourne Australia 🦘

Good to hear that, Martha. We love having ours as an insurance policy! It stays in the car under the seat.
maybe add a battery tender to car while its in transport on the truck to keep the battery topped off at all times.
We're looking at that but for now we'll charge it after it's sat for a week. Thanks
You have such a beautiful rig!
Thank you, Edward! We really enjoy it. Every night we're home.

That's great, Mark. I'm glad we don't give you nightmares! That's cool we're with you at the end of the day. Thanks
Modern booster packs based on capacitors instead of heavy battery packs are a convenient way to minimize hassle.
Yes. We have one in the Smart now. Thanks

Thanks, Brian! 😃 It's our life on the road. We produce the videos for our memories but they seem to have caught on as our channel has grown quite a bit. We enjoy this lifestyle and experience new areas. This summer is just getting started. We'll see you next week.
REALLY enjoyed your show & the tour of Savannah❤️❤️👍👍🙏🙏👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for watching, Carol.
Cue the bunting😂 you guys are a hoot! Always look forward to your videos makes smile!
😊 thank you, Phil. Glad we can put a smile on your face. The bird at the sign just struck me as funny.
Hey David, I'm glad I could help out with the advice on the Garmin.😊
Thank you so much, Edward. It's helped a lot!
Been there so many times always interesting. Something new every time. Period that was back when I owned the house in Augusta Georgia. But partying in Savannah on a weekend was so much fun.
Oh, I bet. There's a lot of little taverns and such. Thanks
Great video. I have always loved Savannah just so relaxing there.
Glad you enjoyed it! What an amazing amount of history in the area. Thanks
Our Garmin is doing the same thing. Thanks for sharing, I will try unplugging.
You're welcome. I think it's an over-heating issue. If we stop during the day for lunch, I'll unplug it until we're ready to roll.
Love your videos, thank you for taking us along on your journeys.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching.
I enjoy watching you guys thank you !
Our pleasure, Roland! Thanks for hanging in there on this one and watching it! 😆 🤣 We appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
Thank you for a wonderful vlog!! I really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful places you shared. Also, thank you for all the work putting this together.
Glad you enjoyed it, Karen! We enjoy sharing our experiences with everyone. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, Christy. It was a super-sized XL vlog! Whew! Glad you made it through and thanks for watching. We're excited about Gettysburg.
I just love Savannah. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome, Marcy. Thanks for watching and joining us on this journey.
What a fantastic place to visit thanks for taking me along
You're welcome, Mike. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for taking me along on your marathon visit to Savannah...truly amazing...just loved it. Kev 🇦🇺
Glad you enjoyed it, Kev. Really glad you survived the marathon experience! 😆 🤣
You guys are awesome ❤
Thank you, Kay. You're pretty awesome for watching the channel. We really appreciate it.
@@bigtruckbigtravels you guys are so very welcome 🙂
Another super cool video! It’s been years since I was in Savannah. Loved the humor as always. ah yes, the boiled peanuts - somehow I never could get to enjoy those… Take care
Glad you enjoyed it, Elizabeth! We never could get a taste for boiled peanuts but it is a staple in the south.
Now you have peak my in interest in the fugus story, maybe include it on the next video ? 😂😂 Thanks for sharing your adventures.❤️
Probably not the next video but we will explain it. It's a family joke over the years. Thank you for watching and we love the comments.
One year ago at this time we were in Savanah and Tybee Island. We also toured the fort. So glad to see it all again. We also biked Hilton Head. We had 10 days and loved it all. Enjoyed your video.❤️
Thanks for sharing, Melinda! It's a neat area and so much good biking too. Glad you enjoyed it.
i can highly recommend a NOCO GB40 jump start pack i have even started a truck with mine available on AMAZON lol watched further and you already have it covered
Thanks. I'm glad that's a good unit. Whew!
I've got the gb 70, only needed it once so far, but it got my 5.9 cummins diesel started on a very cold day, so I could get to the battery store and replace the previous batteries which were 10 years old. I should have changed them sooner but the NOCO did its job.
Great Trip and Wonderful Content Loved it Happy Travels,, always
Glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your time watching the channel.
When we lived in Mississippi for 1 year I had boiled peanuts. I love them. Haven't had any sense, and that was 62 years ago. They were so good.😊
Oh wow! We have friends who love them too...We definitely did not get that gene! Thank you for watching.
Our pleasure! We're glad you "survived" this week's video! 😆 🤣 Thanks for your comments and appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
I absolutely love traveling with you. Georgia is my favorite place.
Beautiful state. Thank you for watching and being a part of the journey.
