Thank you for stopping by my Homestate! (South Carolina), It can get pretty iffy sometimes on the Interstates, I go to Santee to see my grandparents. I live in one of the oldest cities in South Carolina, which is Camden/Lugoff Area, which is also 30 minutes Northeast of Columbia. I've been watching your videos since 2017 and I would like to meet you one day whenever you come around by. You are welcomed to visit South Carolina to get through your road trips!
This episode really captured the feeling of being on the road for me...traffic starting off, rest stops, Buc-ee's billboards, downtown detours because of construction, etc. Thanks for taking us along.
It's good when you have a "no hurry " destination. And watching the road trip from your camera on top of the trailer, gives you a general layout of the country. Thanks for the cooking show . Going to make breakfast.
Nothing like watching your videos on a relaxed Sunday while playing video games and partaking in your awesome adventures!! Also, best wishes to you and especially Ily, I hope she recovers easily and without any pain!
Absolutely love your videos Robert I've been watching you for years and the quality of your content is unreal you capture the moment so well, I plan to visit the usa very soon sending love from the uk 🇬🇧 🇺🇲 we love you Americans god bless you all
As always, I enjoy your videos. For some reason, watching this video made me forget about my everyday life, work, etc. Maybe because I will be in Indianapolis for Christmas.
Another great video! It’s so odd, you went to Spain & they had flooding, you went to Orangeburg & they had flooding, N Carolina & Tennessee also flooded. Thank goodness you missed all of that!! As always , safe travels, Robert
Happy Belated Birthday, Robert! Great to see you back on the American Roads. Enjoyed your videos from Spain and the Icon of the Seas. Hope all is well, my friend!
Robert -We love KOA and stay there all the time even for 1 night -In fact, last year, we were parked next to you at the KOA in Washington Pennsylvania in our Dutch Star ⭐️-We didn’t get to meet you unfortunately-We were visiting family in the area and got back late to the motorhome-But our Dutch Star is in the video you did at the end of the video after you stop there from Hershey ❤⭐️
So much fun to hit the open road. Thank you once again for including the highway numbers when you are driving. Really makes it easy to follow along. KOA is interesting. We used to consider them great value, but it seems to me that the quality is not as high as it once was and the price is very high compared to what it once was...this opinion of course is only based on ones we have stayed at in the last few years. We were on the road just under 200 nights in 2023/24 and managed to stay in KOA for only 6 of those and based on my current opinion of KOA I consider that a success. Hopefully they can pick up their game again. Continued safe travels....
You passed by near my house when you were at I26 in Spartanburg, SC. The stretch of 26 and 40 you took is very nice. Hope to drive on that stretch of 40 when it opens up next year.
Personally, I don’t like road trips, but there is something about watching your videos that is informative and relaxing. Kudos to you Robert for bringing this content to life🍻
Thanks for the great videos - I enjoy watching while exercising at home. It was fun to see you drive through Cedar Rapids, and I was surprised you hadn’t been here before on any of your other trips to Iowa! Hope you’re able to stop and stay another time. Safe travels! Thank you for showing us the world.
My family is from Iowa except from me raised here in Texas. Use to go to Iowa every year to visit grandparents and cousins. Last time I’ve been to Iowa was when I was 17 which is 35 years ago. Will be making it back in 2025 to see our childhood areas. Great video as always
Robert, Was very busy with my newborn daughter. Now catching up with your videos, this is another great episode!! American midwestern states are surprisingly great contrary to popular beliefs. Thanks
Hey Robert! You’re not the only one dealing with the stove falling apart. I used a Loctite superglue for the screws and does the magic! No more remounting the stove after all. Great to see you back on the road. Looking forward to join the adventure!
love seeing the southern states, we went to St. Augustine, then back up to Asheville for 2 days, we love the Smokies, great video, brought back memories, we're in Illinois and yes it's quite dull with all the farms, lol.
Wow. The campground in Clarksville. Been there many times...for gas. It's the closest gas station to the Derby Dinner Playhouse which you passed on the corner getting to the campground. Played the Playhouse many times.
A bit of a "cold open" in this episode, eh? In the beginning, seeing all your gear in the back seat reminds me of traveling to gigs in an old van back in the day. Love the scenery and greenery on the roads though the mountains and Kentucky. Until next time, happy trails!
Nice trip other than for the crowded campgrounds. I avoid campgrounds for one night stops. Rest Stops, Truck Stops, Forest Roads, Walmarts and Cracker Barrell works better for me and is much cheaper.
Peoria was supposed to be a big city in between Chicago and St. Louis. It has around 300,000 in the metro but never got to the capacity they were building for. Also I see you were in the quad cities area! Lots of great micro breweries in the area as well as great restaurants. Hope to see you back in the area soon robert! Safe travels
Hey Robert. We enjoy your videos and all your travel stops and speaking of stops and over night locations. We decided to leave our 20ft travel trailer at home this past summer because hotels were cheaper lol 😂 than RV locations. $65 hotels. And all the gas savings we did was not a bad deal.
If you get a chance go back to Durango you need to check out the museum at the far end be there early early in the morning to watch the train come out of The roundhouse and onto the turntable
I happened to see you yesterday! My girlfriend and I were eating at Yard House and saw ya walking by. We hadn’t paid our bill yet so I wasn’t able to leave and introduce myself. Anywho, safe travels!
We call those bugs. Love, bugs. My grandfather always said that if there's an abundance of love bugs then we're going to have a bad storm season. Sure enough we got hit with Milton.
Pelicamp Appalachia is a wonderful idea!!! I would visit. We would love for you to have a base in Tennessee. Seriously, you should do a tour of Tennessee State Parks. Fall Creek Falls is our favorite. You have to check it out sometime. It is not far from Monteagle Mountain. I know you are familiar with that place along I-24.
I agree with you Robert. All the things you have to now do to just unlock a locker to get your package!! Geee!!! Wonder if there’s been trouble with the older way of getting into the locker like someone getting in that has No permission? Oh well at least they route your package to meet up with you.
I have a GMC Sierra SLT and my trailer brake light comes on once in a while but it’ll go back off but my trailer breaks themselves actually work because I test them in parking lots. I think it’s just something with Chevrolet but I’m interested in following if yours gets actually fixed.
About how much water do you travel with, like a 1/4 or 1/2 a tank? I don't travel with water in my tanks, but it would be handy to be able to take a shower or use the bathroom.
Did you know there is a Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Orlando near Disney World? It’s at 8107 Vineland Ave., Orlando, FL 32821 near the outlets. So good
Hey Robert, probably too late but did you check for any broken electrical lines under your trailer? I had similar problem and my lines to the brakes had been cut by some debris hitting it. Safe travels!
See ya on the Road next year............
@@TravelingRobert Ah, so this is your new dash/interior cam now. I believe you had used an older Sony for years. Looks like it does well with windshield glare. It appears similar to the GoPro. Do you like the AcePro better?
Siempre he disfrutado tus videos. Llevo ya un par de años siguiendo tu canal. Visitas unos lugares espectaculares. Saludos!!!
I know Google maps has taken you on some odd routes in the past. Is there a particular reason you don't use an app or equipment that allows you to put in specific RV info that will route accordingly?
Awesome video Robert! You make the best damn make a person feel good videos ever ever ever Ever of all time brother! I’ve been in Puerto Rico for a week now with mi familia, we are traveling the island counter clockwise started in Old SJ, recently been in the jungle for a few days staying in a tree house and really no internet til now, and really no phone, just now catching up on some vids on my daughter “Stella”, on her phone. Currently in Ponce and will be in PR til 12/05. Love you bro, came to PR because of your video man, you inspire all of us! Really really hope we meet face to face some day! What happened to the older music 😢. This newer fast music makes my blood pressure go up sadly. I guess change happens but will miss the older relaxing background tune.

Love an old school road trip video! And you finally drove through our neck of the woods in east central Illinois and we got “arrowed”. 😂

Well, I'm going to watch this one a few times to get ideas on a route when we drive from MN to the Florida Keys in January.
Thanks for sharing all the parts of the experience along the way, as travel is certainly not just about the destination. A very nice episode👏
Traveling Robert was the original TH-cam #vanlifer . Hopefully he will be recognized as such??
Welcome back home in the USA, yes I know you have been back for a while, but it looks like you are doing road trips back in the USA, Thank You ...

I visited Peoria once. I went to the Caterpillar Musuem.
You need a hardshell case for your Gee-Tar!
I see the appeal of Pelicamp, nothing better to find a free campsite/hotel after doing a whole day commute from Miami to the northwest Florida.

Mario Vanpeebles is "Solo"...Going to do some int.painting.I associate your videos w/ going to work.(candor).
That dish looks delish, but too dangerous for me while on the road! Despite an onboard bathroom! 😮

I'M CONFUSED. If you released this video earlier today(Sunday 11/17/24), then how are some of the other comments a day or two old?
It's been there as a premiere for a couple of days.

Convenience. I have all my points of interest are already saved on Google maps. If I ever get a larger RV I might use one of those.
