@@carst0128 Flowey will say a "dead end" and the dialog is much shorter compared the other previous 3 runs. After that, the dialog will say the same dialog from the 4th run if you do a fifth run and beyond.
The real tragedy of Flowey's character is that he has as much control as a player does over the game but cannot exist outside of it. He has the same restrictions as we do, he has to manually try out all these routes to see how they go. But unlike us, he cannot look up what choices make what changes to the game, he can't put the game down and play something else. He is as disconnected from his world as we are to his, but it is all that he has. A fictional character with the powers of a real person, a two dimensional object that has seen glimpses of a third.

Not being the one in control of saving and loading definetly makes Flowey much more terrifying in this game than in undertale. Imagine if Clovers soul didn't "refuse" when dieing to flowey in the neutral boss fight. You'd basically just be swept away like Undyne the undying in the genocide route, no matter how strong you are, eventually doomed to fail.

Determination might give you control over the timeline and the ability to save and reset, but Real Determination gives you true control over this world. But here’s the thing, Clover doesn’t actually process this “Real Determination”… WE DO. Flowey realizes this in our fight with him hence why he looks up at the player at the end. He knows that he can never actually defeat Clover because we are the ones in control now. We decided if the game continues or if it’s closed forever, trapping Flowey in a single moment in time until we decide to play again. Being able to reset is pointless if time doesn’t progress.

It's a fairly well educated theory though, especially when you take into account (from Undertale's pacifist route) that Flowey is completely medium aware and knows about the player, even outside the context of saving and loading, when he asks that if we do a true reset that his memories be removed too. I'll also say that dying to Asgore is not a good metric as there is a grand total of two occasions in Undertale Yellow where we see Asgore. The first is off the back of a pacifist route that *could not* be aborted any later leaving Clover with almost no LOVE and, based on the scene with Asgore and Martlet, seemingly not being a fight Clover intends to win in the first place. The other is on a Genocide route in a fight so hilariously one sided we don't even see the bullet board.

[additionally file0 is used for the save that's labelled with the fallen human's name and file9 is a second save file saved at certain hidden points [like at the start of the garbage dump] [note that there's a gap: if 0 is chara, 1-6 the inbetween humans, 8 is flowey and 9 frisk, there must be a file7. this is likely lemon bread, as they are at least 12 monsters who melted via too much determination injected, and they disguise as a save point before the fight.]
I love how after the fight, for a brief moment Flowey no longer stares at the soul and instead stares at *us* - the player. That’s probably not what devs intended, but I imagine that he almost became a self-aware game character, but his idea was too terrifying and he just brushed it off.
On a “4th” neutral run, Flowey comments about he and clover being the only ones in his mind, but he says something about feeling like another person is watching.
I assume it’s just him having a moment of realisation, staring straight ahead as the thought comes to him “why am I doing this anymore? This is a waste of time isn’t it! God damn it!” We just so happen to be straight ahead
The way I see it: Flowey has had to endure and reset hundreds of runs before and after rigging the switch, maybe even some Genocides that Clover reset, and maybe even some Pacifists. Eventually he gave up, what outcome he stopped at is ambiguous but probably True Pacifist, and decided to wait for the 7th human, and we all know how that story goes...

Assuming Clover could reset the timeline after this, I doubt Flowey would get back control. Making the genocide route a whole new idea for a path of the game. That's not true. That's because Undertale has a pacifist ending and a true pacifist ending. The pacifist one is the neutral route without visiting the True Lab, where you fight Flowey and get the best possible of the Sans' calls endings. You have basically only killed Asgore (Actually it was Flowey). The True pacifist is a whole different ending, where you just avoid fighting asgore by befriending all the important characters. This cannonically only could be done with the information given to you by sparing Flowey at the end of a neutral. But after that, the logical thing is to reset the whole game, and go for the true ending. Most people however, just return to the checkpoint before the Asgore battle, but then, you are basically changing the run you are making at the last moment.

theres one _huge_ flaw with this though. clover has literally _no_ motivation to reset (unlike frisk, who did it out of curiousity, clover did it out of pure justice [haha]), and even if they did, it would reset to right after they killed flowey, as that is when they gained the ability to SAVE and LOAD. sorry to burst your bubble, but i js cant see that working- 😓😓😓 /not sarcastic btw

I don't get... I just don't get why won't devs let us to go to Asgore and get another ending. Set right atmosphere and let Clover go along to their end. Meta Flowey is cool and the pacifist ending is amazing, but sone enemies are just ask for couple of bullets and sparing them isn't just a just (this why i killed Starlo in my first walkthrought). I hope they'll do a patch to add a way to go in castle on neutral route

Idk you but i found this neutral flowey fight easier than from the original game. Of course, it may be because Flowey can save and load midfight on Undertale. Also, there is absolutely no problem in a fangame being harder than the original game. Most of the times that is the point of a fangame. Also, Undertale itself is quite easy for most parts except Undying Undyne, Sans, Omega Flowey and Asriel, so if we are going to think and make a game about a different timeline, why not also use a different difficulty? Deltarune, although not a sequel nor fangame, is quite harder than Undertale and i found it's fight sequences more enjoyable overrall.

I think it IS what the devs intended. He isn't completely aware, but he realizes that there is far more to Clover than he first thought.
So this implies. The runs that Clover did before Frisk fell were: Neutral, Neutral, Neutral and finally pacifist

I don't get... I just don't get why won't devs let us to go to Asgore and get another ending. Set right atmosphere and let Clover go along to their end. Meta Flowey is cool and the pacifist ending is amazing, but sone enemies are just ask for couple of bullets and sparing them isn't just a just (this why i killed Starlo in my first walkthrought). I hope they'll do a patch to add a way to go in castle on neutral route
there is an already ending called "Flawless Pacifist" which let us go to Asgore

Y'know, Flowey is so smart, yet kinda stupid at the same time.I mean, this fella could give the aborted genocide (At The Steamworks) Clover his friendliness pellets and while at LOVE 13 (if i remember correctly), Flowey could convince GunHat to going to the Asgore with her, which would lead her leaving Clover with the king, but instead of fighting, I'd even say surviving with him being so weak, LOVE 13 Clover with the ppwer of love and Flowey's ammo, AND MAYBE even his attacks he can do in fights, they both could defeat Asgore and them, Flowey'd easily beat Clover.With the 6 souls and one soul of monster, i bet Flowey could fulfill his dream and goal

Idk you but i found this neutral flowey fight easier than from the original game. Of course, it may be because Flowey can save and load midfight on Undertale. Also, there is absolutely no problem in a fangame being harder than the original game. Most of the times that is the point of a fangame. Also, Undertale itself is quite easy for most parts except Undying Undyne, Sans, Omega Flowey and Asriel, so if we are going to think and make a game about a different timeline, why not also use a different difficulty? Deltarune, although not a sequel nor fangame, is quite harder than Undertale and i found it's fight sequences more enjoyable overrall.
You have an easy mode in this one I believe. And it is not so much more difficult than the original Undertale.
