Interesting ideas regarding the Organic phase! I believe the UTY team went with a more cartoony design probably to avoid veering into "overly edgy" territory. Moreover, a cartoony style lets you play with the design of a realistic heart without looking _too_ gross, what's with its mismatched eyes, veins, bumps, and a large stitch across its "face". I have my own personal rankings, but this time my disagreements are correct. 6th: Polygonal (LITERALLY JUST RETRO SOUNDS SEWN TOGETHER IT HAS NO FORM OF MELODY) 5th: Paper (not musical enough) Tied for 3rd: Patchworked and Organic (These aren't bad, just the others are better. Not gonna lie Organic would have been better in my eyes if it wasn't for the weird horn bass thingy that starts in the middle of the song) Tied for 1st: Clay and Mechanical (both of these go hella hard, clay because of the fast pace and JEVIL & PRUNSEL sounds and mechanical because of breakcore and pure intensity, alongside the guitar apparently being mixed to sound partially like screaming. only main reason they're tied rather than clay being 2nd and mechanical being 1st is because of mechanic's end part which I don't really like as much as the rest of both songs)
Despite Organic indeed being just a chill sort of beat alongside a heartbeat pulse, it just does better at having no melody while still being good. (also everything is some sort of sound put together technically)

2 : mechanical = rock??
1 : clay = HELL YEAHH (Jevil theme + good beats)
My personal ranking is:
6. Organic -(not bad, it's just not good enough)- (straight up bad, now that i hear it again)
5. Polygonal (sounds like a boss from a N64 game, i don't hate it but it's not my stuff)
4. Patchworked (haha, clown music)
3. Paper (sounds funny)
2. Mechanical (sounds very metal, not like the music genre, straight up metal... i like metal)
1. Clay (haha, jester music)
The videos in the background are very funny and add a lot to the experience, I laughed too much at IShowSpeed screaming
My ranking:
1. Clay (Hell yeah!)
2. Mechanical (Also hell yeah!)
3. Paper (Goes hard)
4. Organic (Fits the stage really well)
5. Patchworked (Bad)
6. Polygonal (Worst Undertale Yellow song in existence)
Patchwork is my favorite. Love the fucked up carnival vibes it has
3:06 that one makes you feel VERY uncomfortable
Specimen polygonal honestly reminds me of fran bow and i love it
My rankings:
#6 Organic
#5 Mechanical
#4 Patchworked
#3 Polygonal
#2 Paper
#1 Clay
In my opinion, I'd rank them like this:
1. Specimen: Mechanical
2. Specimen: Clay
3. Specimen: Paper
4. Specimen: Organic
5. Specimen: Polygonal
6. Specimen: Patchworked
The lead instrument in the 2nd half of patchworked sounds like Big Smoke’s “ooh” pitch shifted IMO
I am very disappointed by the fact that specimen:mechanical isn't a full song
the polygon's smile makes me think of that one piano dude in majora's mask, the one who teaches you most of the songs
Every time I see *Polygonal,* I see the Happy Mask Salesman from _Majora's Mask._ The music even sounds like
something out of N64-era Zelda!
yknow based on the art style and subject matter, it wouldn't really surprise me if whoever did the art for the organic specimen had taken inspiration from Mad Rat Dead
my list
6: organic
5:mechanical
4:patchwork
3:polygonal
2:paper
1:clay
Imo all the specimen themes work very well for what they try to do and none of them sound BAD. but also this is just the correct opinion yeah I don’t disagree much. Clay is definitely the best one for sure
0:13 sounds like your in the ER
0:56 sounds like some FNAF animatronic chase theme
1:43 reminds me of how bad i am at origami
2:15 reminds me of yoshis crafted world or yoshis wolly world
2:53 ... HORROR MOVIE, WHAT THE HECK, or throwing the baby penguine off the edge in mario 64, and then the mom is all like this song
3:41 i automaticly think of gravity falls, and flowey is there to chase mabel and dipper, it's kinda cool when you think about it
I actually like organic. The heart rate monitor is really fitting for the concept. Its also... quieter, compared to the rest. Makes it stand out.
Specimen clay remind's me of P R U N S E L and good choice's bro.
Finally, a song ranking video that is literally the exact same opinion as me, and has the objectively correct option at the top.
It actualy says the names of the specimens in their ost if you were wondering how he knew the specimen names
They *need* to make these mini phases longer so you can actually listen to these songs for more than a couple of seconds
having mechanical be ranked under patchworked should be a crime by itself
patch worked is honestly pretty good
@@PurplyWasTaken it doesnt really sound like something that would come from a bossfight
you could put syren singing at 2:35
3:41 nah, the talking sound im SURE its the "you are an idiot" audio, IM SURE ITS THAT
i dont hear that but ok
Clay has s great theme, and its so similar to The World Revolving
I like all specimens, but most likely, I like the clay better
3:12 this is why i will never finished undertale yellow
Honestly, I love mechanical.
Theres another song that reminds me of it because of one part also.
It sounds fire change my mind
the editing in the paper segment made me laugh so fucking hard
I love how polygonnal starts its melody by scary to literally not scary
THE CLASH ROYALE GIF IS KILLING ME
clay the only one that goes insanely hard 🙏
Is it just me or does specimen: mechanical kinda sound like an fnf song? Like with the rhythm?
The lines on Specimen Polygonal, combined with the somewhat retro farm music, make me think that it was inspired by Andy's Apple Farm.
I have my own personal rankings, but this time my disagreements are correct.
6th: Polygonal (LITERALLY JUST RETRO SOUNDS SEWN TOGETHER IT HAS NO FORM OF MELODY)
5th: Paper (not musical enough)
Tied for 3rd: Patchworked and Organic (These aren't bad, just the others are better. Not gonna lie Organic would have been better in my eyes if it wasn't for the weird horn bass thingy that starts in the middle of the song)
Tied for 1st: Clay and Mechanical (both of these go hella hard, clay because of the fast pace and JEVIL & PRUNSEL sounds and mechanical because of breakcore and pure intensity, alongside the guitar apparently being mixed to sound partially like screaming. only main reason they're tied rather than clay being 2nd and mechanical being 1st is because of mechanic's end part which I don't really like as much as the rest of both songs)
i dont understand people that like organic but ok
Wdym mean polygonal has no melody and it's just retro sound together you could say the samething about organic
Despite Organic indeed being just a chill sort of beat alongside a heartbeat pulse, it just does better at having no melody while still being good.
(also everything is some sort of sound put together technically)
organic made me feel really anxious when i heard it for the first time but yeah i agree its kinda mid
It has that kind of surgeon simulator ost theme, which I like! But of course, people can have their own opinions, but you came off as kind of hostile, nothing offense though!@@kyfrus.the.creative
I think polygonal refers to Mario 64's creepypasta and the famous anti-piracy screens (and the beta)
It’s moreso the happy mask salesman, it seems
That's why I hated that phase with a passion. It sucked to have all those Ben Drowned and Mario 64 piano creepypastas.
Specimen mechanical being second to last is a crime. “Random sounds”
It’s not random. It’s good. Best song btw
Clay should be below patchworked.
i still cant understand why people love mechanical, the only reason i see is because of the guitar, but clay goes way harder
@@kyfrus.the.creative because it’s good? Same reason people like clay. You could literally say clay is also a random assortment of sounds. Mechanical is the best
@@gamercentral2417 clay has 🔥🔥 beatbox
@@kyfrus.the.creative mechanical has 🔥🔥 Guitar
@@kyfrus.the.creative also if you take a way an instrument from a song ofc its gonna sound bad (most of the time)
Specimen: Clay sounds like compilation of sounds for Shitpost memes
Everyone will call me a psychopath but for me paper is the best
Nah I agree with you
I mean, In Organic specimen, it’s all braincells and blood so the life support beeping is fitting
There is this video called "Undertale Yellow is the ultimate reference" and one thing they forgot is the fact that Specimen: mechanical is a reference to Hollow Knight
It’s a tragedy Specimen Clay is that short for how hard it goes.
The fact theres a sound in organic that goes from ear to ear with headphones
That shits makes it even more disturbing.
of cource clay is the best, it sounds like it could burst into the freedom motif at any moment
Organic and mechanical: Enviormental sounds
Polygonal and clay: banger
Paper and patchwork: Underrated
Am I crazy for genuinely loving the organic soundtrack
Its me or i hear some woofs at 3:29 ?
I hear it
