ive been a console gamer my whole life. just got my steam deck a week ago. picked up L4D2 and the skyrim/fallout bundles. also got the Witcher 3 and all dlc( never played it) and ESO(base game) and finally i got helldivers 2. im enjoying the deck so so much! happy gaming everyone!
reminder to everyone with a deck or looking to buy a deck: non-supported doesn’t always mean it wont play on the deck. it just means it might take a little more fudging around to get it to work or literally its just that it hasnt “officially” been tested it.
Great advice!! I wish I knew this when I first got my deck. If you want to know for sure just google it. There’s a site specifically for it but I never remember what it is but if you google it you’ll come across it but the answers are everywhere!
I just got my Oled Steam Deck recently and needed some games. Thanks for the help. I'm really interested in the Mass Effect bundle for just 6 bucks, sounds like a steal.
Don't buy Disco Elysium, the money does not go the developers but to the publisher who pushed the developers out. Pirate it instead, the devs said so themselves.
It surprises me just how meny games are in super playable states that just haven’t been verified yet, really worth getting the plugin protonDB badges as it’s tested way more games than the verified system and is a much better idea of how playable a game is, like it list games that steam says are playable as poor or unplayable and it’s right so I trust it more than the verified system.
And you aren’t allowed to play the single player game you bought and own without logging in to gamings most hated publisher’s “good consumer checker”. I wish steam would be bold and just ban the use of mandatory publisher accounts to play the game you bought.
Just wanted to confirm, I got the Dragon Age Trilogy on my Steam Deck, and they work near-flawlessly! Almost as good a deal as the insane mass effect discount 😅
@vampbat The launchers worked 90% of the time on launch, but when it didn't, a simple Deck restart sufficed. However, the gamepad won't work unless you install a version of Proton specific to Dragon Age called DAI Proton. Once that's installed, everything works great at around 60fps (at least so far!)
Holy shit. My respect for this man has catapulted into the heavens. He knows his games inside and out, including ones that take hundreds of hours and others are lesser known indie masterpieces. 🎉

I just got my steam deck last week. I’m loving it. Definitely spent more than I should have on this summer sale. I do just want to shout out my favourite game I’ve played so far on deck: Minishoot Adventures. It’s 15.59 CAD at the moment (20% off). Not the best discount. But definitely worth checking out at some point.

I always love when the people I follow shout out Pyre. It's kind of a hamstrung NBA Jam GAME, but the cast and story and the metanarrative about zero sum games is so good.
The only thing id say is even for games that say unsupported on steam deck, look them up and still give them a try. Theres plenty of games that will say unsupported but run better then some that say playable tbh.
@@KevinKenson haha facts!! Honestly if they don't really work too well, nothing proton can't fix. I love my steam deck and I'm def gonna have to peep in a bit which games I have still installed that are unsupported but play great.
Sooo am I the only one who's actually enjoying disco elysium? It's a true work of art especially on the deck sure it has it's flaws but those are greatly outweighed by it's awesome gameplay

please, PLEASE, if you only get 1 game/bundle off of this list pick up Mass Effect. It's one of the best pieces of Sci-Fi media in existence
There are no lies in this comment. Definitely in the tops!
Final fantasy 9 is more of a must
It’s also a game that does not support steam families 😒
I picked this up for under 5 a couple weeks ago and it's sadly just sat in my library unplayed so far

Trails in the Sky FC+SC+3rd are on sale all the time for around $53 together and they are the best $53 dollars you can spend.
The series is amazing, took me a little over a year to get to cold steel 3
Love these type of videos!
Love how much the deck opened people up, me, to pc gaming. Glad to be part of the bunch.
Before the Steam Deck I had 2 games on Steam. Now I have over 250 🤯
same here. i never gave a damn bout pc gaming or steam until i copped a deck. now it's my most used gaming device by far!

Even if it says its not supported, Yakuza 6 works perfectly on the Deck.
I just got the deck itself today. Can’t wait to play these games

No problem! Hope you enjoy if it’s your first playthrough :)
The astrobot game is one I cant wait for.
Wow did not expect the Ai Somnium files shout out! Def a great visual novel game!
The Witcher 3 is for €3, amazing deal just need a little tweak to run it 45 fps on deck but with 90hz it feels pretty smooth
Massive sale on Switch as well if you do not have a Steam Deck or PC. 😊
Monster hunter world and rise are also on sale for less than €10 (in the netherlands at least) and they both run great on steam deck!
The dishonored trilogy is available in the fanatical diamond collection. All three for essentially $5.
Surprised to not see the Ori games ( beautiful platformers) on the list , both are under 10$.
You had me at metroidvanias lol

Remember that Mass Effect LE has a bullsh*t online-only DRM. I found this out to my cost after trying to play ME2 on a plane on my steam deck.
