We've subcontracted through larger companies and have now gained more than enough experience to offer services to the public and to larger company's looking for a customer oriented company. 4 wheel appliance dolly, you can swing doors, saving time on stripping refrigerator. Takes some practice. Knowing your customers and their homes you be able to practice (on certain homes)till you get it right.
Just on the front door not inside the space is too narrow
I like the way these guys moved it in without letting the underside of the fridge get dirty from the pavement. Some guys will remove the bottom styrofoam while the fridge is outside and the bottom gets filthy.

Good communication taking your time no rush. I used these straps for 10 + years delivering for lowes. 🔑 is communication and 2 people who know the techingue in the art of moving. ( can be a lite Ruff) using these straps with someone who's never used them before. The pads alright too i like it for the smaller lighter appliances dishwashers , dryers

Great job, men! The only thing I winced at was the removed doors standing up in the kitchen. I prefer to lay them bin side down on a moving blanket, far out of the way.
Our company sends us solo... 10 to 15 stops a day.. I can dolly like a ballerina and strip fridges in less than 3 minutes. beast mode lol

i work for Ovation in Calgary. Alberta and we work like this in crews 15 to 25-27 deliveries a day... stripping them fridges like nothing

I go solo with a French Door Fridge to a 4th floors city neighborhoods stairs, no elevator, very narrow hallways, and narrow stairs curves walls. Beast mode... without any single little dmg to customers propery. BEAST MODE....
Forget to say that we do 28 stops a day. BEAST MODE....
Next time do butterfly method open one fridge door slant take I then the other
House door was off, plenty of room and you have straps.
Remove bottom kick plate and butterfly the fridge through the door into the house.
This saves an immense amount of time and wear n tear.

Yes Sir, we've come a long way since this video. Watching others in the field has helped us greatly, however we understand that practice makes perfect. We specialize In local Flatbed deliveries and appliances are something that we are fine tuning with time.... That butterfly method does save a great deal of time, but having 2 able bodied people, does make a world of a difference. Can you suggest any videos on TH-cam that can help others I. Our industry, as I'm hoping to contribute more in the near future. Our goal is to lead the market in home delivery's, with minimal claims and charge backs.

good job guys, that was pretty smooth, nice to hear you guys communicating with each other. did you end up trying a door swing? it works super well for 23+ cubic foot side by sides.... bottom mounts are a whole different story. you like the shoulder straps ? my partner and i go between a fridge cart and a pad. we like the pad as it allows alot more stability. Keep up the good work gentlemen!

thank you. the majority of the houses and apartments we deliver to were built in the 1800's so we haven't really been able to practice these wonderful technique's that the other appliance installers have grown accustomed to. We have discussed it though and are going to try that butterfly manuever on our next french door.
Prelude Paul We do like the straps, due to our success not damaging any appliances or floors. explain how the pad and strap method works, we're always up for learning the trucks of the trade. We're all about good advice, thanks!!
joe G the pad is essentially the same thing as what your using above, but instead of it being tethered to you around the shoulders the straps loop around your wrists or forearms (whichever you choose). As for the pad itsself, its nothing more then a sturdier base with straps on each end.

You just slide out the bottom drawer of the french door. Most brands have a tooless removal via some plastic clips on the sliders. Then you can butterfly with the fridge doors still on.
I do deliveries for Lowe's and I got it to a science lol,dollies are my weapon cause we're by ourselves a lot

@@shanae0506 these installer positions seem to be going the 3pl route nowadays. You can usually find an opening by searching on indeed, that's where we typically place our ads when we have an opening.
They don't use straps for moving or delivery furniture?

Measure twice cut once.
29" door frame but then the fridge shell is 29" without the doors and drawers ........lol

Hand trucks wouldn't have worked in that tight of area. Fridge that size every inch is vital.

Eventually I'll try it, on a larger door way, but it just takes that one damage claim from the customer to set me back. also in this area we deliver out of, the majority of houses we're delivering to are from the 1800's, small door and hallways.

Edgar Gonzalez I feel your pleasure, we've also done 2nd and 3rd floor deliveries and It does feel pretty good to complete these deliveries without incident.
Im from Lithuania and for example yesterday we did a fridge, dishwasher etc (total 5 items) delivery to 5 floor without elevator without any straps or whatever. Second floor? joke.

How do you get doors off
Every model is slightly different but most just require the top hinges to be removed, and the bottom freezer door removed from the sliding track that it attaches to. These newer refrigerators can be pretty tricky. I like telling customers that the delivery fee if any, is well worth it. It's like an insurance policy on your new appliance, ensuring its not damaged during the delivery process.

Ramiro Pereida only in certain situations it's possible. No walls, or furniture in the way to actually be able to spin it in. Higher chance of damaging it. Which then causes more time when u have to replace it. Smarter, not harder.

What's the pay?
@ViOS Lyrics we've been trying to set the pay depending on the contract work, since the workload and time spent can vary day to day. Depending on experience level and ability to work without incidents, our installers can hit $200 day. Usually if they're responsible enough we can help them obtain their CDL, which is our ultimate goal. We've turned our box truck division into a gateway, to help our teams earn their way into our less physical cdl driving positions.
