Happy customer riding mower delivery
In spite of the cooler weather, this delivery proved to be successful. The smile on the customers face says it all and definitely makes the effort worth it. Pennsylvania is beautiful and spring is here, better get your riding mower if you don't have one already.

I'm saving a few thousand in labor and building my confidence in doing more of my own work on our trucks. this one here is a 2009 freightliner columbia eith a 60 series 14L Detroit.

I was training our new drivers at a Home Depot in Cincinnati Ohio and thought I'd record their progress. I asked them to record me as well so that I'd be able to see where I needed improvement. I do need improvement like anyone else and that will come with time. Hope you all enjoy the video.

I don’t understand why they use straps. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
I like the way these guys moved it in without letting the underside of the fridge get dirty from the pavement. Some guys will remove the bottom styrofoam while the fridge is outside and the bottom gets filthy.
Next time do butterfly method open one fridge door slant take I then the other

Hand trucks wouldn't have worked in that tight of area. Fridge that size every inch is vital.
Waiting on mine they keep pushing they deliver date .
They don't use straps for moving or delivery furniture?
Good communication taking your time no rush. I used these straps for 10 + years delivering for lowes. 🔑 is communication and 2 people who know the techingue in the art of moving. ( can be a lite Ruff) using these straps with someone who's never used them before. The pads alright too i like it for the smaller lighter appliances dishwashers , dryers

Never, lol. I made this video when I was an owner operator. Life and my way of thinking have changed, but I do miss those days.
How do you get doors off
Every model is slightly different but most just require the top hinges to be removed, and the bottom freezer door removed from the sliding track that it attaches to. These newer refrigerators can be pretty tricky. I like telling customers that the delivery fee if any, is well worth it. It's like an insurance policy on your new appliance, ensuring its not damaged during the delivery process.

Have you ever placed a pallet of cement bags in like that then used a second pallet of cement to push the first pallet so both pallets fit in a garage? Im curious for an order i really dont want to move by hand.
Yes sir, but I have had each customer write a statement that they are fully responsible for all damages that may occur during the delivery, such as scratches caused by pushing in the pallets. I've learned that having your own pallet jack works best.

You aren't supposed to hook your strap hooks to the outside rail! It actually has a decal stating this. Straps should be behind the rail and hooked under the trailer. Those rails are there to protect your straps. You show your a 3rd party driver lol

Great job, men! The only thing I winced at was the removed doors standing up in the kitchen. I prefer to lay them bin side down on a moving blanket, far out of the way.

when you get the appliance inside you have to put it on the floor and move it around to put it in place some times that is where you damage the floor I made some skids so you can move the appliance around and slide it in any tight place then let the air out and it sets right in place they work great you can see them at shankfloortools.com
Don't buy from home depot
4 wheel appliance dolly, you can swing doors, saving time on stripping refrigerator. Takes some practice. Knowing your customers and their homes you be able to practice (on certain homes)till you get it right.
Just on the front door not inside the space is too narrow
