It is confirmed that the Elegoo Saturn 4 and Saturn 4 Ultra will be officially revealed on April 15 at 10am EDT.
Hope Elegoo adds a heater and some kind of failure detection.
I hope they fix their firmware to work correctly with all klipper updates.
Where the camera is positioned according to the manual points directly at where the print is stuck to the build plate and with them calling it an "AI Camera" it would imply that there is some level of software monitoring something.
If it was just a time lapse camera for people to post stuff I doubt they would call it an "AI" camera, to me it seems like it is going to be taking pictures on every cycle in and out of the resin and comparing them to see if the print has come loose from the build plate so you can save resin and presumably with it being WIFI enabled etc. it might also send you an email or alert via an associated app on your phone that your print has failed so you can go clean the vat and restart and not lose out on hours an hours of print time.
So will the AMS be connectable to the kobra 2 max?
Cool there all on it, really wish they would make the mmu/ams 6 or 8 reals capacity instead of the bambu lab 4
X1C can daisy chain four AMS to run 16 colors. However, there are better methods by using FDM and SLA together.
@@isthattrue1083 that is true👍 but ams are very expensive and very expensive to daisy chain 4 so hopefully another company will bring out a bigger version on ams
Huh, Anycubic sent me a survey on what I thought they should basically work on next. I told them color printing with more than four colors. Was trying to get them to lean towards a FDM/SLA hybrid printer. Use FDM for the model and resin to color the model.

I wish there was an affordable way to convert an E3V2 Clone to multi color.
It may not be a Core-XY printer... could be like that FLSUN printer.
It'll be a new printer. Their printers aren't using Klipper, so my guess is that one does. That was another thing I had suggested to them. Pretty much everyone has abandoned Marlin.

Bed slingers are just as fast as core-xy. I have two bed slingers that go 600mm/s and one core-xy that goes 600mm/s. To be honest, I kinda like the bed slingers better. I have both bed slinger and core-xy printers. I use the bed slingers for sales production. Edit: Unless you start getting into the really high end printers beyond Bambu Labs. One my old job had was insanely nice. I can't remember the name of it, it was one of those big commercial printers, but you talk about speed and printing perfection. Thing did a solid layer in one pass with filament and then colored with resin. I mean the print could be the size of a coffee table and it could do a solid layer perfectly in one pass of the extruder. The extruder is like a couple feet across. They told me how much it costed and it was in the six-figures. It was more than $100,000.
@@isthattrue1083 the thing is i have multible bedslingers and copple of xyz and the thing of a bed slinger is yes it says it go's 600mm but it doesnt extrude that fast becaus movement is calculated in that number.
a core xyz is faster becus it has less movements and les vibrations.
i have a creatbot-F430 for my high temp/chamber aplications and that thing is not only a monster but because of the temp the movement is limited too 500mm but 99.8% of the prints come out succesfull.
i know what i am talking about you have your few i have mine that that is fine.
i still know and thare is plenty of data that states the clame that a bedslinger is slower then a core xyz and when you add multi mat/color to that mix it will never beat a xyz.
@@isthattrue1083 Finally someone else speaking the truth about CoreXY speeds. They didn't even twig when Bambu Labs brought out the A1 series with the same speeds. I am interested to see if CoreXZ Like the new Creality Ender 3 V3 machines remove Z Banding.
Based on the way Anycubic has been moving, I really couldn't care. They have started using proprietary nozzles, wifi that ONLY connects to their ADDWARE/S{YWARE, and the bios on their machines has gone from bad to criminally bad. They were pretty decent a few years ago, but Kobra 2 and forward....JUNK
Man, my saturn 2 is not even a year old. I think most of resin printing is marketing hype and fomo.
Still a damn fine printer.
I’m done with anycubic. Dropped support for the photon m3 premium and it’s not even old…. Gotta pass on a company that will take my money and offering no promise of longevity
Respirator! Are you kidding me the mask they provide is to use when pouring resin into and out of the vat, it's basically to prevent splashes from getting in your mouth because it's toxic to aquatic life or ingestion!
As for fumes you mean VOCs but elegoo resin doesn't have VOCs it may smell bad but so do my farts they not kill you, ok maybe if I've pickled onion space raiders!
Anyway I have a mini print farm in my flat and work with elegoo and whenever I brought up toxic fumes or VOCs they laughed..
I'll quote elegoo "what VOCs if our resin gave off toxic fumes we would be required by law to label it with a respiratory warning just like rattle pens and tiny enamel pots. If a product contains VOCs it MUST be labelled as such and the plains and trucks delivering the resin must carry the same warning to warn emergency response to wear respiratory equipment in the event of a crash"
The safety data sheet for standard Elegoo resin says, "In case of brief exposure or low pollution use respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer
exposure use self-contained respiratory protective device."
And unlike your farts, the SDS also says this resin may cause respiratory irritation and is suspected of causing cancer via inhalation.
@@FigureFeedback I believe it's about VOLUME! When I went to the hospital for coughing up resin they had all the data sheets and they explained the resin dust I'd been breathing during sanding is lethal because it's airfloat. When you breathe it in it builds up as a sticky goo that can't be removed and causes cancer along when many other serious illnesses..
When we asked about the toxicity from fumes they said as long as there is an open window there isn't anything to worry about, resin does contain chemicals that are bad for your health but by volume you would need to put 20 large format SLA printers in a broom closet with no ventilation for the levels to effect your health!
Since I got sick from the dust we have installed air quality monitors around the studio and the VOC level is no different than the standard background levels from car fumes and general air pollution from having windows open in a city.
We have spoken to elegoo about the VOCs and I'm comfortable with their emails basically saying the same nothing to worry about and to just open a window if the smell bothers you however we now have multiple large HEPA filters scattered around but they only remove the odour as carbon cannot filter VOCs!
If it really bothers you I'd install a 6inch centrifugal extractor fan close to a window and run some ducting above your print area to extract everything including the smell but it's also going to chill the room especially around winter.
We're all responsible for our own health. It's fine if you don't want to use a respirator. But I'm against actively discouraging others to not take safety precautions. Elegoo can say whatever it wants. I choose to take the advice of an independent party like the SGS.
So the mask is for mouth breathers, makes sense.
