Based on public polls, articles and studies that I compiled on line, this list is a few of the items of clothing women dislike to see men wear.

I'll continue to dress for my comfort. I think opinions about what people think what other people shouldn't wear are very low value topics for video blogging. You seem fairly bright, why not find something to blog about that would help someone to improve their quality of life, or enlighten us on something that actually matters.
@@JohannesNielsen I'm with you. I had a great dad, died at age 87, who had the worst taste in clothes. I remember being embarrassed because he wore a pink polyester leisure suit to a family reunion once. I didn't see his confidence. I didn't see he was the life of the party. As a teen, I judged him superficially, because I was a dumb kid. My dad was right. Be yourself, if people can't handle it, who cares. Thanks Dad. It took me a while to figure it out.

@Joe Jordan The reason you don't believe me is that when you chose a woman, you chose badly. That's not my fault nor blame. There are good women like me out there, you just need to reevaluate why you choose the users.

I know, right. Stay a rebel. Other men respect you in your socks and sandals, sweat pants and untucked shirt with big sneakers, or dress shoes with white socks and cargo pants.
White socks with Weejuns was tres chic when I was competing with all the other prep guys in high school. Black sox looked good at funerals.

@4:42 Instead of flip-flops with a pair of jeans, one can wear sandals with cream linen pants : super confortable, fresh under the sun with a sudden classy look and super relax with confidence. With a super flashy Hawaiian shirt! 😁
Anyway, without confidence, any Smalto or anything else it all will go down the tubes.

I heard it's good idea to invite them to the pool or the beach so you get to see what they look like without makeup.

I just realized from watching this video that I don't give a snarf what women think I should be wearing. Thanks... very liberating!
For me, comfortable shoes are a life necessity. Finding that, and being somewhat stylish, can be a challenge. Still, I go for the comfort first.
If you have bunions like me closed shoes are impossible. Even sneakers are difficult unless you can find really wide ones. No normal store stocks them. Thankfully I live in sunny Arizona where I can wear open sandals almost all year.
I'll give up my cargo shorts and ball caps when they give up excessive make up and acrylic claws.
I won't even then. Love my baseball caps as much as I love my Garbage Pail Kids cards and Queen albums.

I am 84 and have always taken pride in my appearance and my clean look. Perhaps it has much
to do the age I grew up in. We dressed up when we went to town and church. Also military
thought us to look sharp and be sharp. I have great pride in the right look..also appreciate
women that are dressed right. Just me and how I am.

Lol! I still make sure my shirt buttons are in line with my fly/belt, I make sure my belt buckle is centered, but I drew the line many moons ago about bouncing a quarter off my bed.

I think these women are angry that all these "sloppy" men could care less if they appear attractive to these horrible bleach blonds with mohawk black streaks in their lifeless hair, fat botox lips, fake boobs and 25# of overweight.

Hats should be a must in places like Texas and Arizona! If you think wearing hats is a bad look, wait until you are in your 50s and 60s and getting chunks cut out of your head and face due to skin cancer from NOT wearing a hat. If you live in a colder climate, where the sun is not as harsh, then feel free to follow that advice. Here in Texas, a hat is a safe and functional bit of clothing. I am 57 and no issues with skin cancer yet, largely because I wear hats.
I live in Texas and wear a hat all the time, oddly enough, I get nothing but compliments from women. I even wear a fedora and a Churchill homburg and get compliments. The key is what you wear with the hat, if you dress stylishly without going for a modern trend, you are safe.
I've been wearing a HUGE Gardners Sombrero here in So Cal for twenty years.
Good for you. Most guys just wear baseball caps and don't ever take them off.
My uncle in San Diego, CA, liked showing off to the ladies with his Caesar Romero looks. Got skin cancer on his nose. Wore a flat brim gaucho style after that outdoors..
But I had to wear a dixie cup and dungarees out most of the time. When I was there.
But when not in uniform my blue baseball cap with the orange D on the front. Hope I don't get skin cancer on my ears.
Same in Australia. Wear a damn hat - broad-brimmed too, not a baseball cap. I wore caps for years and had a skin cancer on my ear 18 months ago. Now it's an Akubra or a Stetson brimmed hat. I'm bald too. I've got a bare dome to protect, so fu ladies if you don't like what you see when I take my hat off.
Side window glass is not UV resistant so wear sunscreen on the left side of your face if you drive a lot.
Don't worry about what people think. Wear whatever makes you happy

I wear Crocs knockoffs that I got at Walmart. Sometimes with socks! Three reasons: 1) comfort; 2) repel the type of people who are repelled by Crocs; 3) repel brand snobs.

Some of these are laughable and very dependent on the situation and location. When a guy reaches a certain age, single or not, we don't give a crap what "women" think.
You aren't getting any either are you? When it gets to that point anything goes.
.....And the funniest part of that is, when we stop giving a crap what people think, we start meeting folks we really enjoy spending time with.

And if you wear cargo shorts, no woman will want to go to the movies with you and you'll have twice as much money to spend on candy. You'll also not be asked the rest of the evening your interpretation of the "relationship" shown in the movie and how yours is going.

My next shop for new clothing is going to be square toed shoes with white socks, past the knee shorts (with pockets of course 😉) whilst sporting the loudest shirt I can find, one that comes with a health warning ! That should do the trick😁

I love every single one of these items. They are all I ever wear, every day! I love love love wearing sandals with white socks, cargo pants, an untucked long button shirt and a really well-worn baseball cap.

I loaf around in jeans and either a dress shirt or some kind of casual shirt. But without hesitation I will put on a dress suit and matching tie if the situation asks for it. A time and place for all things.

My biggest taboo that women wear are yoga pants especially if your figure absolutely does not flatter the way you look in them. I've seen some women wear them and think to myself... YIKES !!!

Speaking as someone who was a competitive swimmer for 15 years, I can assure you that women love Speedos on the right body. It's true!!!! Of course, the days when I could pull off the Speedo look are long gone.
I had a female manager who on two different occasions at a sales meeting gave me a Speedo and a jockstrap. Do you think she wanted to F me?
I wear Vibram Five fingers with the utmost confidence. My girlfriend may not like them but she understands that they are my thing and go with my quirky yet confident sense of style.

All kidding aside, this video is educational and informative. I actually learned a couple things. I already knew the bare basics but this helped to round out my wardrobe and encouraged me to be prepared for future events. You are either a part of society or apart from it!😉
My GF said she agreed with everything on this list, except she would include checkered dress shirts and combover haircuts.

Wait until your 60+. If you have a car, can drive at night, have a pulse and don't require portable oxygen (optional), you will be "hot".

This is great advice, but this could also be considered things to wear if you want left alone while you're out and about. Now I know if I want to be left alone I should break out the cargo pants and wear socks with my sandals. Cheers!

At the age of 60, I wear what is comfortable and functional. I like Aloha shirts (good ones only) because the effectively hide the pistol I carry on my belt.
Same here, carpenter jeans so the urban carry comes clean quick. Love the Aloha shirts, spent 23 years on Kauai.
And those cargo shorts will carry that extra mag or even airweight-like small revolver.

The classic men's suit will always be in fashion. And the fashion industry hates that because there's no money in things that don't change. We need skirts to go down until they hit something and then go up till they hit something else - perpetually.
I'm going to wear everything he says not to so I don't have to deal with a judgmental insecure diva. I'm really going to enjoy this. Mostly because I'm with a wonderful woman who doesn't care what I wear. She cares for me, the person, not the clothes. She can dress however she wants. I don't care. It's a great relationship.

I asked a few women how they like to see a man dressed and the most common response I heard was clothes that fit. A lot of the points made in this video I think are really good advice. Lastly the number one outfit I heard most women say they liked on a man was, surprisingly, a plain colored t-shirt (that fit properly of course), a regular pair of jeans, and a nice but casual pair of shoes. I will also conclude with something i was also told my those I spoke with: they liked to see a man wearing a watch because, to them, it was a sign of maturity; but not necessarily any other piece of jewelry. Interesting video, very informative.
I find that my camo bib overalls with garden clogs and red hat to be excellent cougar repellant.
Who cares what a woman hates about what we wear. They do not dress for us why should I dress for them? If you notice what they wear or do not wear, and you are not what they are looking for they label you a creep.

Which just goes to show how irrational all that is. I stopped wearing watches in 1999. That's when I bought my first cellphone. Didn't feel I needed two clocks on me. Just started wearing one again this year, because I'm a bit of a nerd and smart watches have EKG now :)

My number one consideration for buying clothes, shoes and boots is comfort, number two is function. Durability is important for work clothes and work boots.

Buy a Ferrari and wear whatever ya want,.. you'll do fine.
If you're trying to pick up straight teenage boys, a Ferrari is great. If you're trying to pick up a woman, they probably won't notice it.

Most people can't afford a Ferrari. Some can't even afford a car I use to walk and ride a bicycle to work.
I had a van when I could no longer afford that I walked and rode a bicycle one of my girlfriends then started dating another guy with a van. So a guy does not need to have a Ferrari. I got another girlfriend while I still used my bicycle.
Confident men can wear almost anything. Fitness and financial stability are a plus. Not being an alky , chain smoker or drug addict helps.
What's hilarious about this is that in any other context the hat thing would be reversed. "Want to go from a 2 to an 8? Put on a freaking baseball cap!"

I'm a 58 year old widower. I wear whatever makes me feel comfortable. The ladies my age and younger still talk to me in a friendly manner. I don't wear sandals or below the knees shorts, but I freqently wear gun related shirts. Small town AZ women love them

Different parts of the country and different seasons/ weather can make selections different. Believe it or not, I was in Manhattan NYC in summer 2007. I had some fairly new Carhartt brown duck canvas shorts and some red logging suspenders from Duluth Trading. Ok, I have 2 things that spring instantly to mind re. Baggy shorts. First off, my father had been a DI at Camp Pendleton after his service in Korea. I wear my ball cap to keep my head from burning in the sun or to keep my head warm during cold days.
I dress Victorian era.....from black tie/pleated shirt and tall Bowler to Regimental blazer/tie and grey flannels.......my oxfords are spit shone, my hygiene the highest...and I wear Givenchy 22/7. I"m an old soldier, bachelor, only interested in piano, beer, French brandy and song! :) I'm always complimented on my dress because I'm a relic........

Don’t dress for anyone but yourself, and don’t be a slave to fashion. Some clothing items stand the test of time and though they may not be high fashion, they are perfectly acceptable, but don’t let anyone guilt you into dressing any way other than exactly what you want to dress, and if women don’t like it, that’s on them.

I started wearing "cargo' pants back in the 70's. We would cut off the legs of our BDU's under the side pockets when they got to tattered to repair. I've worn different versions since-- AND will continue to wear them as I please.

I think the main thing is to be yourself and don't follow trends. I wore flannel shirts as a teen and at 72, I still wear them. Wearing a hat when I was young might have prevented the issues I'm having with cancer on my face now. I wear hats because I"M *sem9) BALD and protecting my head is important. (I shave my head). Also, I look good in hats. PS, I was single for a long time. The women who reject you because of lack of hair are not worth being with. I had plenty of women who did not care about that and I never dated an ugly woman. Also, they mostly came to me. '
Personally, I think women ought to be more worried about what men don't like to see; tattoos, face and nose rings, outlandish hair colors, etc. If you want to be taken seriously, look like a serious person, not a clown or a social activist.
