When I was teaching myself to code, the thing that really helped me was printing out the job posting for my ideal role, and writing a deadline date on it as to when I hoped to get that job, or just make the career switch. Then, I taped it in front of my desk where I saw it everyday. Kept me going lol. I made the switch one month before that deadline!
I’ve watched more of your videos & you really motivate me to start learning how to code. I have absolutely no experience at all and I’m 20. Thank you so much for being you 💗💗💗💗
This is a great time to start! Just remember that no one begins anything as an expert. You got this, I'm rooting for you! Let me know if there is ever a way I can help
Thanks so much for this!! I kinda wish I had found your video first but I'm glad I found it at all!! Brand new to coding, possibly older than anyone else here, taking the self-taught adventure and thinking Python is the way to go!! Off to catch the rest of your Beginner Coding series!! Thanks again for sharing.
Thanks for sharing such information I’m new to coding and i am just about to dive into it but first I have listed my why and I feel like I need to start doing my research to get started and also I hope to see more of your videos about coding so thanks Nicole.
I have seen videos on (automatic house printing machine) If I could remember the machine has something to do with coding that makes it build automatically, that what I need to create. And your a beautiful queen btw❤️
I learned thru research Python is a general-purpose programming language, so it can be used for many things. Python is used for web development, AI, machine learning, operating system. Which one did you choosed to code in . if Im even asking it correctly. I feep python coding and coding is two different things still.
Thank you so much for sharing all these tips Nicole. Truly appreciate it. I’d love to get in touch with you and potentially connect if possible. I have absolutely NO technology background whatsoever but I am aware of the different types of entry level roles there are with a lower barrier of entry. What are some tools/resources that you would recommend? Are there some free academy’s that I can learn from that you’ll can share? Also what do you think the timeline would be for someone to learn about the different types of coding and language that would benefit me.
I am so glad that you are getting something meaningful from it sis! I would love to connect! I am very active on Instagram feel free to shoot me a DM on there!
Hey! I’m just as new as you, I know this post is old but if you’re looking for someone just as clueless and willing to make some steps toward learning we could always do buddy check ins! Looking for a study group to creat now!
I definitely need help fine tuning which direction I want to go into when it comes to coding, and I’m definitely going to check out your content to see if it explains things in more detail.
nicole . young you’re welcome and I would say for a video some tips for beginners getting into tech with no experience or a story time on your first time coding successfully.
Check out some of my videos on free and affordable resources. That is where I started when I didn't know anything about coding and they helped so much!
I love your energy! Please do share the resources you used to learn the differences between front end and back end coding. I am looking to make a career shift and I'm swimming in the ocean of options. Life raft please
Coding is when you program instructions on a circuit board for a certain machine to do such good things right? I need to code a machine on how to make water instantly from the air itself for one. and lots more, I bet it's already a thing tho. Im just getting back educated on coding starting with this channel.
I completely understand the feeling! I’ve been there. My best advice is to just start with something. The one that feels like the best choice right now. Then you can shift as you begin to learn until you find the right fit
Absolutely! I believe things like that may already exist (like the chips placed in animals at shelters). I would look into the tech of those chips and see what languages are used to program them.
I actually got started on a Chromebook with Ubuntu downloaded! However if you will be using a downloaded text editor or IDE I think that most basic laptops will do. My suggestion is to go with something with a comfortable keyboard and a good amount of space so that you don't run into problems as you start saving large coding files. In my experience the average computer is suited for getting started in code.
Love that! Python is the most popular language right now and I don't see that changing any time soon. Keep at it and let me know if you ever have questions or need someone to vent to along the way. I'm here.
Hi Grace! I usually suggest beginners pick either Python or JavaScript because they are versatile, widely used languages that tend to be beginner friendly compared to others
wtf she's just on here rapping ? when are you going to get to work? show us some shit... i knew this was going to be some soft shit when i saw a macbook. you cant do shit on a macbook but edit photos smh... Lol lil pretty girl talking about some coding
Daniel! No need to cuss bro! For some people the hard part is the getting started and prepped which is the point of this video. But You can 100% code anything on a Mac that you can on a PC. Most of the devs I know and myself use them.
@@nicoleyoungtech -_- yeaah but you never actually coded lol.. we didn't even see ur wallpaper, not to mention you actually typing a code. You did however have an extended keyboard lol so yeah that's kinda the vibe but ehhhh u gotta pretty macBook so it doesn't count... When you start using Machines made by Alienware or MSI or ASUS or ASER, then u serious about coding.. Macs are for pretty pics not back end techy stuff... do you know how to code babes ? ehhh... ion think so.. stick to ur girl power and coffee attractive coffee mugs. leave this nerdy stuff for those who are about that life... ur not about that life. but u look good tho hehe

I LOVE THAT IDEA. Write the vision! Definitely going to do that for my goals as well. Thanks for sharing

I’m glad you mentioned the why, the motivation.

This is a great time to start! Just remember that no one begins anything as an expert. You got this, I'm rooting for you! Let me know if there is ever a way I can help
Thank you for being practical.

I learned thru research

I'm so glad! Hope it is still going well, Rooting for you!
I don't drink, and I was just about to start until I found this video
I know you need a text editor but what do you need to actually implement these languages? Like what software is used to actually do the coding?
Can you talk about the areas of coding and what you can use code for.
Definitely have this on my list of new videos!
Omg this is so helpful. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I love the music that you added!
I’m learning so much and I really enjoy your videos. ❤️

Hello my name is Ashley and I wanted to know would this be a good field to go into so I can work from home and eventually home school my kids
Hi - I am in the health field and would like to know what direction I should take as a beginner who wants to learn code and what to focus on.
I am finding it difficult to decide which branch of coding to venture into
I completely understand the feeling! I’ve been there. My best advice is to just start with something. The one that feels like the best choice right now. Then you can shift as you begin to learn until you find the right fit
Did you read any books if so what where they?
Hi, can you share the different avenues you can get in with coding?
Yes! Going to be doing an updated video on this soon
What resources did you use to figure out what direction you wanted to go in?
It was really just a lot of trying things and researching for me.
Is it possible one can make a code for a device that can be used to put on domestic animals as detectors to prevent theft
Absolutely! I believe things like that may already exist (like the chips placed in animals at shelters). I would look into the tech of those chips and see what languages are used to program them.
Please I need help in figuring my path in coding
If you still need help please find my on IG and DM me. Happy to help
What type of computer (preferably cheap) do you think works best for coding? I have a chromebook but I would like to upgrade.

Is there a coding class for cryptocurrency or blockchain?
I'm not 100% sure but if there is one it would either be on udemy.com or edx.org they usually have the best selection and edx is free!
Based on ur opinion, ,,which language do u prefer to a beginner
Hi Grace! I usually suggest beginners pick either Python or JavaScript because they are versatile, widely used languages that tend to be beginner friendly compared to others
ios apps
I typed in Nicole young to see dr dres wife and came across this 😂
