As a black person. Calling another black person well spoken doesn't sit right with me. Like what do you mean by that? Not every black person speaks ebonics or talk slang.
In some of my hobbies, a background in coding would help me contribute to cool projects or create some of my own, and yet I'd be paid to keep those skills fresh if I got a job in coding. Yet I didn't really know much about the divisions of each different type of coding until you broke it down easily in this video. Thank you, from a compete dummy
Thank you for this video, great information. I have a lot of coding bootcamps around me but I'm unsure if that would be as useful as a bachelors in IT. Tough decision for me at 35.
totally understand but I have found that many in the same boat find that bootcamps are enough to get started vs devoting so much time and money going back to school. Have you looked into it any deeper?
Thank you so much for this video! I have been trying to figure out a good path in coding and I think this was really helpful in getting a good idea of the different fields. Great video ☺️
I'm about to quit my actual career to start learning code, by my own. This is very helpful, I want to know what options I have to start learning 💌 I'm very exited because I always liked tech and how it grows by the time, I can finally do what I love
@@duncan32158 I did quite the career (a good decision I would say) but I started learning how to tattoo and I'm working from that 🤣 I study code sometimes but it's not my priority for now
I love your videos they are so informative for someone like me who has just started her coding journey. Smashing the like button and am officially subscribed. Thank you thank you
@@nicoleyoungtech Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm currently taking CS50 HarvardX via edx. I'm in the process of making my own schedule through Notion too via your recommendation. Starting to believe Python is the language I want to learn. I'm most likely going to be finishing off all your videos by the end of the week.
Thank you so much for this video. It help me understand what all these terms and jobs mean as I'm doing research for college. I feel less scared and confused haha. Keep up the great work :D
Love your content! Just wanted to add a new one I’ve been hearing recently, UX researcher. There’s a few YT channels about it, I’m not sure it’s for me personally but just wanted to add it for anyone who may be interested in looking into it !
Hey, I just graduated with an IT degree and I'm looking to become a software engineer. I'm considering a boot camp to brush up on my skills and get some projects down. I'm currently doing self-study in preparation. Do you really think a non-cs major can go straight into software engineering? or would it be faster to do web development first?
I definitely think it's possible and know people who have done it. The most important part is to put the work in, whether that means a bootcamp or self teaching. Hard work now for a huge pay out later (not to say that the hard work ever really stops). Hope things are going well for you!
This is a good video and this video helped me understand about computer coding and I'm definitely gonna get a job doing computer coding but I need to ask questions and I need some advice about it.
Hey Nicole... thanks so much for your content sis.... I just wanted to ask if you could consider speaking a little bit about fintech. I currently work in finance, and I would like to use software engineering to expand my career within the finance space. And I would love to know what Fintech Software engineers do and the different career options within fintech itself.
Hey sis! I don't have much experience in fintech but its a really huge field where I am living. I am putting together a series soon bringing together other women of color in tech to talk about their experiences and I will make sure to have someone that can speak more about it! You are so smart to be pursing the shift that you are right now! keep going!!
I think that places like weworkremotely.com are great for freelance work. And look into local talent agencies for help landing a new job they can be very helpful and knowledgeable
If that happens, I doubt we see it in our life time. We (humans) would have to create robots that can do that and that could take a while to get to the point where they outright replace us altogether
Hey, ima 10th grader and love to become an ai engineer.but before that do u think that developing some webs or apps is required to get started with ai?
I don’t think it could hurt. I would suggest building as many projects as you can in the development language that you want to use to become an AI engineer. python is a really popular one but there are so many others that you should look into
@@nicoleyoungtech Thanks for replying, i have made my mind on being a web developer(preferably fullstack) first and than may be learn python and ai in university.I think that is a good decision (correct me if i'm wrong)
I liked how she said more involved than a web designer 😂 you mean a web developer 😆 And by the way… software engineers are the real devs. Any full stack dev out there is still a web developer 👨💻
Sorry it’s been forever before I responded but I think barrier to entry it a little easier with UI because there’s little to no code that you need to learn to get started

Where does DevOps fall in this?

So which is better front end or back end developer?
I don't think one s better than another, it's all in what you enjoy doing and the types of problems you want to solve.
Will AI replace programmers by writing its own efficient code than humans with 99% accuracy or with perfect accuracy in future? I am just curious
If that happens, I doubt we see it in our life time. We (humans) would have to create robots that can do that and that could take a while to get to the point where they outright replace us altogether

With any of these, unless you have skills that you can build on, you’ll likely need more than 3 months to get the results that you want
