    I've learned Swift outside of my undergrad career and I LOVE IT! I'm continuing that education by teaching myself using project based learning but Apple did their THANG when they created Swift & XCODE. I'm in between that and Python because that's a language I learned when introduced to AI.

      That is so awesome Deshay! And I totally agree! As you would expect from Apple the language and xcode are sleek and easy to use (and fun!). Stay in touch! would love to hear about how you use your skills in swift and python as you continue to learn

    I'm learning Java right now and it's not as fun as the web dev languages I learned previously (JS and HTML with CSS) but it does challenge me to really conceptualize in a way that's outside of my bubble.

    Team Python!! Thanks for another great video Nicole. I like the simplicity, authenticity, and transparency you have. If you know about it or if you're not completely sure about it you're honest either way and I appreciate that. I'm down for Backend Development, some kind of Data Analysis, and more than likely Database management of some sort so I'm also looking into SQL but I'm starting with Python.

      Aww thank you! I am excited for you! Python is the FUTURE! Backend was alway intimidating to me but I am starting to learn a little for the purposes of my freelance website build lol

    Hi Nicole, you seem like a very smart person, and I am stuck in a dilemma. I love web development, I've been learning for 6 months HTML, CSS and JavaScript. As time goes by, I've been finding myself not liking JavaScript so much, JavaScript is harder to learn in comparison to Python. Also, if you pick up a library like React you have to re-learn JavaScript by learning something called JSX, the Frankenstein of JavaScript. Originally my first language had been Python. I love Python so much more than JavaScript. My question is this, if you love a career path (web development) but love another language more (Python) but don't like Data Science BUT you think you may like AWS DevOps as a developer using Python, I have done some reading on DevOps for AWS I am doing research as we speak and so far, it seems very interesting. If you were in my shoes, would you go about solving this type of problem? I am only asking for your opinion, since you have experience in tech. I feel that by me stopping web development I will feel like a failure, and I would literally have to start from scratch all over again. From watching your videos, you seem like a person who is quick at coming to solutions to problems and I could really use your opinion I would value it, thank you very much for reading my post.

    HTML is a MARKUP LANGUAGE - not a programming language. HTML is to Javascript as a shopping list is to a recipe

    What resources did you use when you first got started into doing Python? I recently bought Automate the Boring Stuff and Learning Python because I decided to study Python as my first language

      Automate the boring stuff is great. I was using team treehouse because it was paid for by my job at the time. It's great, but paid. I think you're on the right track with what you have!

    Helpful video :)
    One thing to make your videos better, turn the mic volume upper because I think it's a bit low ^^

    Hey Nicole what are your thoughts on java script and what’s it’s best for in those categories you’ve highlighted?

      Hey I am currently working in and actively learning JavaScript it is a very popular language and definitely a good one if you are just getting started and interested in interface design, web development or other things like that. Currently Python is the highest rated language but I believe JS is second

    What is your area? Which coding language would you choose if you would have been a normal girl still working as a psychologist watching this video and wanted to learn coding??

    • @nicoleyoungtech
      @nicoleyoungtech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Currently learning JavaScript and I would suggest it to anyone who is making a switch and wanting to learn development. Its a great language because you can perform fullstack development within one language which is not true for others

      Everything I've seen so far says Python is the best and easiest for newbies!! Think I may pair it with SQL and JavaScript later down the road, I like databases though.
