Nottingham last night - Fabulous music, fabulous Band - This IS Gong in 2022 ..... There is no other - a brilliant set combining the traditional and new - The whole 2hrs was a very high vibration - Rejoice and Master builder even stood above that..... Emotional! Kavus is the right incarnation to hold the batten and continue running... Everything a music lover could wish for!
The greatest riff in psychedelic music: the greatest riff ever? Yeah, none of them were on the four classic albums in the 70s, but the pot head pixies, the octave doctors and all the other characters from the planet gong are kept alive by the ever changing invisible opera company of Tibet
errrr... with the exception of the drummer they were all invited to join Gong by Daevid himself, toured with him several times and recorded an album with him. Shortly before his death he expressed a wish that they carry on as Gong once he'd gone, and suggested Kavus as Gong's new frontman. Good enough link to Daevid Allen? 😉

@@stevedumbrell6988 PS: I did get to interview Daevid Allen for Pacifica radio in Houston in 1991 and found him to be a very nice guy, and I got to see the classic "trilogy" line-up, minus Hillage, 25 or so years ago in San Francisco. That, I will never forget.

First hearing for me. First comment ,, boring. Like a lot of Prog bands it seems that word means just play the same thing over and over and over again. Seems to me you need some drug supplement to listen to them. We all have our likes and dislikes so please accept this as just a personal preference.
My introduction to Gong was the YOU album. It became my go to record when tripping - Long Live Gong.
One of the most inspirational bands ever.

The ORIGINAL Planet Gong was much better. This new "line-up" in this video should be called the "Gong cover tribute band"
Oh god they're awful. I used to love Going but this incarnation is dreadful

It's more a meditation, yes drugs help a lot.
Gong aren’t just a “Prog” band. It’s a spiritual thing which some people will probably never understand…….
