    Such an impressive video with the interesting facts and history of Melaka. It’s been 2 years and 9 months I live in Melaka but I still find it very attractive and fascinating. (It is the only state and city I lived in Malaysia) Appreciate your elaboration with the careful and detailed easy explanations! I miss walking along the Melaka river so much since I couldn’t go out during MCO..

    Malacca (now Melaka) was the hub of civilisation in this part of the world in the past. Period.

    Malacca is one of the oldest city in Peninsula Malaysia but not the oldest. There are Kedah Tua (Old Kedah) and many more ancient city. It was the oldest and most influential city in peninsular Malaysia

      Base yourself in Penang. Anywhere else outside Malaysia, hope over for a few days or weeks.
      Our daily convenience is great n our food is the best overall.

      I liked the way the tourists buying everything being offered, as if it was too cheap .. hahaha 😆😆

    The historical area is no longer quiet. First visited about 30 years ago. During a visit in 2019 i noticed a disturbing trend. Extremely noisy bicycle rickshaws and tuk tuks with huge super loud speaker systems. Couldn’t believe people actually enjoy this. At 1am in our hotel on the 4th floor we called the front desk to complain (to no effect) because several of these vehicles were parked on the street outside of our hotel It was so loud it was not possible to sleep. Instead of staying the planned four nights er left after one night

    Can foreigners own property in Malacca, Malaysia?

    • @wickedpch
      @wickedpch 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but not landed property .

    • @flyinghedgehog3833
      @flyinghedgehog3833 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can own house and condo...but most land is Malay Reserve..

    • @bukitkatilmp
      @bukitkatilmp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a Malaysian I can tell you for sure that yes, you can own landed and high rise property. The only restriction is that you can only own a property that is above USD 250k. As anything lower than that price is restricted to Malaysians only. There are close to a million foreigners owning property in Malaysia currently.

    • @flyinghedgehog3833
      @flyinghedgehog3833 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bukitkatilmp most States have higher minimum for foreigners.. Selangor min RM 2 mio condo unless overhang which bit less..Malacca minimum RM 500 k condo
