      How much is a 2 bed property such as a terrace house?

    • @lees7340
      @lees7340 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Nikki On Most terrace houses have at least 3 bedrooms. Condos with 2 bedrooms are more common. Depends on the location, a 2-bedroom condo in a good area in the capital and surrounding suburbs will be in the USD100-300k.

      Can you tell me how difficult/easy to obtain MM2H visa and how long it takes to apply for . Did you use an agency for that or make your own application directly to the authority. Any tips are well appreciated.

      Nikki On Have you been to Malaysia? I think it’s totally doable to apply for mm2h on your own. But if you plan to buy a property, some real estate agency can help you with mm2h paperwork as a value added service.

Coconut trees, can grow any kinds of fruits or vegetables throughout the year, same as in Malaysia. I love it here. I do visit Malaysia often as my parents live not far away from Ipoh. Our favorite hang out place whenever I visit Malaysia is Penang. Love the vibe, food, the temple on top of the hill, just walking around and also the shopping malls Jaya Jusco is the best place to shop. LOL. There was a vlog youtuber “snail traveler” compared a medicine cost between Malaysia and the US. His wife bought a medicine from a local pharmacy, same prescription, same brand, same dosage it costs $$$ in the US and only $$ in malaysia.

    Love your videos Keith. You are a rare find, an articulate & informative blogger. Can't believe how low the rent is on your gigantic apartment. Tell me it was $800 US not Oz dollars. I assume you're a little off the beaten track getting such a good deal. I intend to rent closer to George town for possibly 3 months when the borders finally open both here in Australia and Malaysia. I concur with your observation about the friendliness of the people. I love Vietnam for it's edginess but consider Penang as a better base for hopping around S E Asia.

    The minimum house price for foreigners here is around MYR1,000,000 or around USD250,000. For USD800,000 it gets you a penthouse apartment or a Bungalow here.

    Being Penang born and bred, therefore proud to be a Penangite, it is so lovely that Penang was chosen from any other country in the world by you to live. All you said about Penang is absolutely true. The people, the environment and it is a much relaxed place to be then a busy city. We are used to see foreigners around so nobody will feel strange here. Your place really has a great view. Anyway, thank you for choosing Penang.

    Malaysia is a good place to retire but the currency isnt strong for locals to purchase items from foreign nations. You can live modestly without much effort but if you want to purchase luxury products, its a bit harder for locals

    Hey Keith glad to know you and your wife enjoy living in Penang, Malaysia. Indeed, it’s multi cultural country, English, Bahamas Melayu, Chinese ( Hokkien ) and Indian language are widely spoken. Endless variety of food stalls to pick/ choose depending on your mood. Whatever you decide they are delicious and price is great! I travel to various countries from time to time and Malaysia is one of my favorite. If all goes well ( Covid restrictions) will be in Penang year 2022 . Catch up with you and have Nasi lemak 😂
    Stay safe and keep healthy 🙏

    Yes! It doesn’t make sense to purchase a property in Malaysia, they are expensive! Rental is so much cheaper....
    I was in Penang at Gurney Paragon condominium, to purchase one would cost from $800K and higher, rental was around $1200, they are 3000 sq fr huge unit. I love Penang, but I decided to move to México due to cooler weather and closer to US. My top 5 colonial cities are Morelia, Querétaro, Pátzcuaro, San Miguel De Allende and Guanajuato. Spring like weather all year round!

    Has been living and travelling around Asia. If you are looking for better quality of life, semi retired pace... MALAYSIA is your answer. Good food, affordable healthcare, English speaking, tech trends are not far out.. Less populated.. Petty crime rate is increasing but not alarming yet.. Just stay alert and cautious...
