Have been living in Malaysia since March 2020. I absolutely love this country and never want to leave. So much to explore and especially eating. Has some of the best paradise beaches I have ever been to., so beautiful.
I'm hoping to retire in Malaysia in 10 years time. Been to Malaysia 5 times and I love it. I agree that some of the beaches are incredible but there are some amazing beaches in Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia too
It's funny because I was choosing which one to go to and Indonesia won by far. I love it, possibly my favourite county in the World, there's nothing like it out there. Of course, I respect my bothers and sisters in Malaysia but I can only afford to visit one lol

I have been living in this beautiful country for almost 5 years. Everyday i discover that i like it more and more because it combines modernity with nature, ethnic and religious diversity , amazing cuisine that is influenced by many cultures, easy and relaxed life and people. Malaysia should promote itself much better than this just like its neighbours Singapore and Thailand. It has a lot of potential to become a top destination for tourism, study and investment, but this requires drastic changes in immigration and marketing strategies. Love you Malaysia ❤️
Malaysia used to be the most visited country in SE Asia before thailand got famous. Still the second most visited country tho. if you compare, much more popular places like bali couldnt even beat melaka who have over more than 20 millions tourist each year.
Personally, Malaysia should not over sell itself because too many tourists can be destructive to the intricate balance of Malaysia's environment, society and economic structure.

I love Malaysia so much. It is my favourite country in Asia and it just has so much to offer. The people are so diverse, so interesting, generous and hospitable and the ecosystem in this country is wonderful. The whole country just feels safe. Yes I know every country has its faults but Malaysia is excellent in light of any drawbacks. I have lived in many countries and I just really love this one.

@@LifeOdysseyMotivation aside from rain and damn hot weather, that's all there is to it. typically march to august is where the hot weather hits, and after that it's raining season. we don't have major natural disaster like typhoon/blizzard/earthquake but sometimes we do have heavy flood from continuous raining in some parts of malaysia. in short = summer all year round, sometimes with unexpected raining.

I am sick and so pissed already with the typhoons, storms and other natural disaster in my country. But we can't do about it and just accept our fate. From my Own Experiences, I Have been to Malaysia , around 6 times, and i already went to Kuala Lumpur + Putrajaya + Selangor + Sarawak and Negeri Sembilan, well i must admit it That, What Malaysia has offers is That, the Culture and Its People have give Very Unique Meaning of Multiculturalism in Terms of its Melting Pot of Its Identity, with its own Amazing Nature and City Scenes that have Alots and Amazing, dispite still Not As Famous as other ASEAN Nations such as, Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore, don't get me Wrong, i also Wish Malaysia to gain more Attention from Foreign Tourists, so it Can Be More Famous as well with Other ASEAN Nations.

Kokdiang? OMG! My hometown is Alor Star, a little to the south of Kokdiang. But what is there in Kokdiang to promote? I'm not asking this question in jest, but seriously I wanna know what Kokdiang has to offer. I have many blood relatives in Kokdiang and its vicinities. Having said all these, I know Kokdiang is pretty in its greenery landscapes sprinkled by limestone hills, distant mountain and hill chains, rice fields, rubber estates, Malay kampungs (villages) etc..but can all these alone attract tourists to Kokdiang? Even Alor Star has a hard time attracting tourists. Seems that in Kedah only Langkawi seems to be touristic so much so people don't even know that it is a part of Kedah, a district all by itself in the state of Kedah, much like Bali is to Indonesia..

True. Langkawi is now rundown. I am Malaysian originally from state of Kedah of which Langkawi is a part of (I live in KL area now). I first met my wife there, at that time there was only one international hotel, it was a lot pure, clean, natural, less crowded and a gem them, incidentally that was my first trip there, to see my wife, my first child was conceived in Langkawi during a cold, dark, stormy, heavily rainy and thundering night, I received my first bundle of joy 9 months later! (Haha!)

I keep telling this to my son (my first born) that me and his mom conceived him in Langkawi on a dark rainy and thundering night during my visit to the island to spend the night with his mother. He is 30 yrs old now. You see, after we married, my wife still had to work Langkawi although we were working for her transfer to Selangor, meaning that I had to make frequent visit to Langkawi to be with her. Those days Langkawi wasn't that developed, even the airport was rundown..
tbh Malaysia can potentially be the top tourist destination in Asia. Great location, nature, food, diverse & friendly people. the transportation is great too. Communication is rarely a problem as most people in Malaysia can understand & speak English. it can also be a great destination for Muslim people as well. However, I prefer if Malaysia stay underrated. One of the charm for coming to Malaysia is the lack of overtourism .

A lovely country indeed with very friendly ,hospitable mix of ethnicities. Happened to explore Kualalumpur city and surroundings including Batu caves. and hill station of genting heights. A few days trip to Taman Nigara was the highlight of the visit. Rain forests with their natives and that famous canopy burma bridge give you an out of the world experience beside canoeing in the adjoining river. A day long trip to Cameron hill station and a day/night stay at island of.....with ferry ride from........was a unique experience . Recently(2019)spent about 10 days at langkawi with family, wife, sons, daughters. Yet another unforgettable experience. What a great place to visit. My Number one choice across the board

Perhentian Kecil has an amazing private blue lagoon and the water is crystal clear. absolutely breathtaking :)

Malaysia should promote Kokdiang as tourist destination. It is beautiful
Kokdiang? OMG! My hometown is Alor Star, a little to the south of Kokdiang. But what is there in Kokdiang to promote? I'm not asking this question in jest, but seriously I wanna know what Kokdiang has to offer. I have many blood relatives in Kokdiang and its vicinities. Having said all these, I know Kokdiang is pretty in its greenery landscapes sprinkled by limestone hills, distant mountain and hill chains, rice fields, rubber estates, Malay kampungs (villages) etc..but can all these alone attract tourists to Kokdiang? Even Alor Star has a hard time attracting tourists. Seems that in Kedah only Langkawi seems to be touristic so much so people don't even know that it is a part of Kedah, a district all by itself in the state of Kedah, much like Bali is to Indonesia..

True. Langkawi is now rundown. I am Malaysian originally from state of Kedah of which Langkawi is a part of (I live in KL area now). I first met my wife there, at that time there was only one international hotel, it was a lot pure, clean, natural, less crowded and a gem them, incidentally that was my first trip there, to see my wife, my first child was conceived in Langkawi during a cold, dark, stormy, heavily rainy and thundering night, I received my first bundle of joy 9 months later! (Haha!)

I keep telling this to my son (my first born) that me and his mom conceived him in Langkawi on a dark rainy and thundering night during my visit to the island to spend the night with his mother. He is 30 yrs old now. You see, after we married, my wife still had to work Langkawi although we were working for her transfer to Selangor, meaning that I had to make frequent visit to Langkawi to be with her. Those days Langkawi wasn't that developed, even the airport was rundown..

tbh Malaysia can potentially be the top tourist destination in Asia. Great location, nature, food, diverse & friendly people. the transportation is great too. Communication is rarely a problem as most people in Malaysia can understand & speak English. it can also be a great destination for Muslim people as well. However, I prefer if Malaysia stay underrated. One of the charm for coming to Malaysia is the lack of overtourism .

A lovely country indeed with very friendly ,hospitable mix of ethnicities.
Happened to explore Kualalumpur city and surroundings including Batu caves.
and hill station of genting heights.
A few days trip to Taman Nigara was the highlight of the visit. Rain forests with their natives and that famous canopy burma bridge give you an out of the world experience beside canoeing in the adjoining river.
A day long trip to Cameron hill station
and a day/night stay at island of.....with ferry ride from........was a unique experience .
Recently(2019)spent about 10 days at langkawi with family, wife, sons, daughters. Yet another unforgettable experience. What a great place to visit.
