Man, I love, love, love the wood frame. It is really cool that you built what you want yourself. And using rubber bands to add customisable tension is awesome. Everybody knows they are not completely durable, but you are literally creating a custom hardware solution. Have you seen the teenager who was on Linus Tech Tips for making a haptic glove out of disassembled pre-optical, ball mice? Really cool.
@@FlammableElectronics It's a clutch pedal just like in a real car. You can even see his pedal set has 3 pedals in the video. I just like having the clutch pedal for drifting and being able to clutch kick. Otherwise I just use the paddle shifters when I'm sim racing.
Just unscrew the left and right silver screw( just enough for the rubber bands) then do like an 8 figure leaving the shift nob in the middle works better in my opinion. I did the same on mine. Don’t forget to remap tho.
I replaced the two left and right screws with longer ones from hardware store. And got two o-rings that slide on and off within a few seconds. No miss shifts and lots of resistance.

I'm not a gamer, but I am a builder/maker. Really admire your setup there. Maybe take a walk around a local junkyard and find a cool drivers seat real pro style 😁
Just replace the 2 bolts on either side of the shifter with slightly longer ones, then put elastic bands over them. You need fewer elastic bands, it's puts less stress on the shifter and is quicker and easier to switch between h pattern and sequential.
There's better ways to do this if you take off the boot and put the bands inside. They make good mods online. I use a similar setup for sequential and ebrake

Take two of the screws on the trim ring out and replace them with longer screws. Then take a hair tie, twist around the shifter and then loop it around the new longer screws. PS don’t screws the new longer screws all the way in. They should stick up. These provide the anchor point for the bands.
Put more rubber bands on your e-brake so it can fly into the TV

The TH8A Actually is designed with the feature in mind however, whereas the Logitech isn’t (also the TH8A is just a better shifter hands down)
