As a drifter / SIM driver and Dad of a small boy I love what you are doing there with your Son and I am sure you both bonded massively through the process of building that together. Probably more than through the playing part.
Its for both. Have you see driving the son at the End? surely not his first time ;) I think its hard to differenciate the son from the dad. He is his hero and he want to be like him. Its just a totally awsome Project
Such "pseudo gifts" go in both direction. Last year I got my dad the Black Album on vinyl, with me being the only one in our house with a record player wired up ;-)
At first, the IPad for a speedometer in the dash was soo cool cuz it’s like the fueltech one, but then I saw you program the e36 speedometer with the key ignition!!! That’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen
Now this is a setup your boy has some skills on carX! Im still trying to learn to drift on my wheeel and im nearly 30 😂 you done amazing with this build!
You guys should somehow try to wire in those led strips above the seat to the headlight switch on the setup. That would be pretty cool and it would actually serve a purpose.
What an awesome project to do with your son! I really hope when my son gets a little older he wants to do a project like that with me! You sir have earned yourself a subscriber, please keep vlogging your progress, would love to follow this as you keep improving :)
Great build, guys! My thoughts throughout the whole video were: 1) This is looking very good 2) Does mom know about this and does she agree? 😂 Keep up the great work and I hope you really enjoy it very much!
@@e46sim today I tried a full sim cockpit for the first time. I'm pretty good with gamepad and I can drive a real car, but it was very hard for me to feel the game. Your kid is a boss 🙌🏻

Wow. Just wow. I'm a little jealous of your 8 year old of having such setup... could only dream about such when I was a kid :D P.s. his driving skills at 8 are insane
Gustavs, your a lucky child. Not only do you share a passion with your father but he helps you learn in the process. A father building something like that with his son (Mine would NEVER have done that.) Good on you Dad. Also, you are great with tools and have knowledge of building. Teach your son that. Oh one ore thing Dad. Make sure Gustavs can't drive off in the real car (not that he would but, could save some headaches later in life LMAO) Honestly I can't wait to see what's next.
This looks amazing! I would love to see you guys use that navigation and make the screen work. It would require much custom work, but it'd be worth it. As well as adding functionality for the headlight switch. Overall amazing build!
Greetings! I subcribed to your channel as soon as I figured the purpose of the project and your lesson in sharing, assembling and fabricating skills! 🫡Congratulations on a marvelous example of what family quality time looks and feels like! 😃May you and all of your family members are blessed by having a dedicated father son relationship! 🤩It is a feast for anyone's eyes to observe the effort, enthusiasm and attention to detail of this cockpit- real looking simulator rig! 🤔Sir, I am partially handicapped and let me tell you that you just inspired me on doing one for myself recreating my Dodge Durango GT interior! What better way of enjoying a racing simulator, none other than your own vehicle itself! 🕊️🌇May you all be blessed and have a wonderful day!
Just to know, the total cost was 2481,76 euros. You did a very good job! Amazing how you created a bord to convert the RPM and speed from game to the real gauges. I would love to have that kind of skill.

you and your son should do the same thing! I'm sure he would love it
Am I the only who thinks that all of that is for dad? :D
Great build guys
sure! its an adult toy , not for kids
nah you guys think really mad becaus you dont have kids love car than adults . if dad build for him that mean dad love's kid done.
It is for both, But mostly for kids. I have three sons. :D I enjoy the building process more...
