- Unboxing and Reviewing the new budget steering wheel. It has 900 degrees or rotation and FFB, comes with 3 pedals and a shifter. It's the newest PXN wheel called v10. I test this wheel out in CarX and Assetto Corsa to see how good it actually is. I do not recommend that wheel for that price.

I've used this wheel, didn't pay nearly that amount as well (it's always on sale somewhere, lol). It's tricky to set up, but once dialed in it works ok, at least a good as my old Logitech G29. You need the app to help set it up. This is NOT a plug it in and go wheel. There are some really good videos and guides that help you with settings. It's not perfect, but if you nab it on sale, it's a decent buy.

I think the reason for the wheel being so shaky, might have something to do with the ffb being so high, that it gets into a feedback loop, and starts shaking
I think minimum ffb is also the culprit
I have a friend that have this wheel, I can confirm this is the problem, plus the base is adjustable so you can change the angle of the wheel and the force of the pedals is also adjustable
That was the problem with my g920
its not the FFB being to low or high you need the proper LUT for your wheel. its easy to do on Assetto but any other game that doesn't allow you to use your own LUT file isn't the greatest mainly throwing Carx under the bus with that shot

The pedals can have the springs changed for more force or less so you can tighten the break one and make it more stiff.
It's a good cheap wheel, but it's okay with regard to vibration, only a matter of settings. I just liked that it supports 900 degrees
I experienced this in the past with my trusty G27 and the fix was simply to lower the self centering spring setting and also I took the wheel rotation down to 890. Then some LUT setup in assetto and then it has been smooth sailing from there.
Using a LUT file is definitely 100% mandatory for these weaker wheels, makes the game so much better.

If you had taken 2 minutes to adjust the wheel settings in both games, it would have been such a better video for the guys who are on an extreme budget. It would have been a truly honest and fair review. Like any wheel, it takes time to dial it in. Just simply lowering the ffb some in both games could have changed the entire outcome of this video. I know it's a Cheap madcatz knock-off, but gotta give it somewhat of a fighting chance 😅

If someone has not already said it, look up the old MadCatz ProRacing FFB wheel. This is it, the wheel and base you have is it. The shifter and pedals are different but wheel and base the same. There should be screws on the side to tilt the wheel up more I think 3 holes to choose from, brings back memories. I had the MadCatz wheel

I had the pleasure of owning both of them. I loved the MadCatz wheel. Hated the pedals though at the time. The PXN is pretty decent I bought one as a secondary rig for guests. I prefer it over my G920 for PC racing. Console is a little weird sometimes. I use a thrustmaster TX usually. The PXN I think is the same exact wheel as the MadCatz, but I think the PSU may be a higher voltage than what the MadCatz came with in 2014. It feels like it has slightly more power than I remember the MadCatz having honestly. They had to have changed some internals too for it to not natively support the Xbox one. PC support could be done by just making drivers, but to strip away native support (meaning not have to piggy back an Xbox controller to it) you would have to remove the physical components that allow it to be Xbox compatible. Xbox has specific hardware in supported controllers to allow connection and isn't entirely software based like most 3rd party PlayStation controllers. The MadCatz only worked on the Xbox so it has that hardware in it, and didn't work on PC so there weren't any drivers available. But the PXN only connects to the Xbox via piggyback and basically fakes having the hardware needed for an Xbox to accept the connection by using the original controllers hardware

It’s crazy I got this wheel originally and let me be honest I be going hard on assetto tbh and it works on almost everything flawlessly you gotta use the app to really fine tune it for games I spent around 400 and bought the Amazon handbrake and I have no complaints and they do make a dd wheel that’s pretty good and the wheel has alcentera on it and it doesn’t really absorb sweat to bad and i also use a th8a with that wheel and it’s fantastic

You probably gotta turn down FFB to stop the wheel shaking like that, and dial in other settings as well. It definitely won't work out-of-the-box with the same settings as your DD wheel.
I compared in my head with g29, which is similar price

@@LoweyYt The g293 is basically the same thing as the G29. Try to save um a bit more, maybe get a Thrustmaster T300RS GT. Try to get it used.

im pretty shure you could fix the shakiness by ajusting some settnings, cause i saw in other videos that ffb is kinda good and responsive
and my g27 had the same issue in some games
I am sure it is good in like ETS2 or any other game where you do not need to rotate it that fast.
@@Goosiest yea because its mostly designed for racing, i use it for drifting too its not that bad but your need to setup it in the settings a lot.

I used this wheel, I think pxn need to make a driver for this and get a bigger wheel
The force feedback is weird in carx, I had to turn the ffb all the way down to 20%
(If you curious, v10 is basically g29/g920/g923/g25/g27 with a more powerful motor, and the pedals are halls effect but they are very soft)

My laptop just suddenly cannot run racing games, or become very laggy so Im now quit drifting until I can get a new laptop
@tegarandikash the most inconvenience thing might be the wheel is too small and early stage there is no adapter, so I had to make my own
I have the PXN v9 and it is way cheaper but comes with the same stuff. It is a bungee wheel with no ffb, but is still amazing for chill games like forza

You can change the angle of the steering wheel. u have to take out the screw on each side thats holding the plastic part on the base

You can adjust the wheel angle with the blots on either side I have the same one and once you get the settings just right it’s honestly a good wheel

You need the app pxn wheel and you can make the base upwards for the angle from the allen head you have i had it it's great for the price i paid
The wheel is just in czech roads mode. It simulates all the shakiness.
Every 2 meters is a bump or a hole xD
I was able to pick up the PXN V9 off of marketplace for only $60 and for the price I could not be happier with it. I cannot wait to upgrade when I have the funds, but for right now, I am genuinely having fun, and everything works as it should so no complaints for me at that price point.

I payed $300 and also i had the same shakey experience at first but after a few weeks of use it really smoothed out and is alot better it isn’t good compared to other wheels but pretty good for the price
The wheel is very small but i plan to do a conversion to it because it doesn’t seem too hard
how would you put a custom wheel, because i wanna out a semi style steering wheel for ATS but worried there won’t be correct figments
@@Upguy-tj3gv there is no conversion kits out that i could find but you can find wheels with the right bolt orientation but it is very hard to find them
but if you have a 3d printer and know how to 3d model then you can make a custume one
I had the same problem, after using this wheel approximately 3 months later it seems that I no longer had those epileptic vibrations and it has already normalized in some games (what I have been able to realize is that the wheel no longer calibrates itself). It has the same strength with which it calibrated at the beginning when it was new).
Has anyone asked the manufacturer if it is common for this to happen or if something has been spent internally in the feedback force (where the steering wheel goes)

you can turn down the force feedback in the software so it wont shake. you can also change the angle of the wheel without any extra purchases

That weird fabric is suede, probably cheap stuff in this case but suede is - IMHO - the best material a steering wheel can be wrapped in. It's nice on the hands, very grippy with gloves and looks amazing as long as it's properly taken care of.

G29 is amazing for atart but thrustmaster t300 gt rs isnt that mkre expensive but the diff is just crazyyy
g29 is a terrible choice for drifting, spins way too slow, not a wise choice at all

Shifter is all metal just plastic Casing internals are metal. and also easy to personalize with cool shift knobs. and the wheel angle is adjustable also. and the main issue with the wheel is you need to get the LUT File for your wheel for it to behave properly for drifting. ALSO iut says 900 degrees support but its realy 1000. more closer to 1080. changing ingame setting to 1080 makes a big difference also

Dawg the thing is that this is the most reliable wheel that I’ve ever had and I’ve used other wheels it does look cheap but the interior and mechanics are reliable and good and the game compatibility, and amazing force feedback for a gear drive wheel, I do agree on the wheel size but it’s only about an inch and a half off it also plays very well in game

Btw you can change the angle of the wheel via the screws on the front left and front right of the wheel
Also you should give that wheel to a sibling or someone that you know not the worst idea
I am currently using this wheel and i love it considering this set is me first ever pedals,wheel, and shifter im only having a problem with the wheel and its not straight and i cannot fix it
i have a pxn v10 and
no. 1 you cant peel the logo off, its a sunken in button (maybe yours is different but i cant peel mine)
no. 2 if you dont like the steering angle (like me when i bought mine) you can adjust is by loosening
no.3 the shaking is probably the base settings in carx and AC, mine needed much tweaking until it didnt shake

goose it could be a centering spring option or something causing that shakeyness logitech does it if you don't have them set up right (i used to have that issue with my G25 until i turned off the centering spring in the game controller settings. Been good since)

I actually have the V10 so...
1. Get the APP and put the FFB in 65, (You need it if you don 't want to sweat.)
2. With change the angle of the wheel to 3 or 4.
I've had the PXN V9 wheel for a while heres my opinion of the last gen version.
1.The petals suck, mine have broken and since have been upgraded.
2.The gear shift is alright, its a 6 speed with a push down to activate a reverse gear, how ever the push down function has broken on mine
3. The V9 doesnt have force feedback but a spring to recenter the wheel, I've since removed the spring since it was inconstant.
Despite all this if you plan on upgrading in the near future its not absolutely horrible but not very good either, and I think I got mine for like $100.
Yea the v9 absolutely sucks, I downgraded from that to just a controller because the steering wheel was so grippy and collecting all the dead skin from my hands

The weird centering spring stuff and extra crap in the app cause the shake and pedals are pretty ok with the spring maxed out
