Entps are awesome! For an Infp they are like an instant source of inspiration, the way they wield Ne so skillfully. Very clever and funny people, definately trolls and they usually get away with it because they're just so charming about it. (I like to ask my Entp friend for her objektive opinion, she is not afraid to ask probing questions or ask me to explain my reasoning. And she asks for my Fi analysing when it comes to relationships and feelings, win-win)
Don't forget some people and some ideas need trolling. A reason I suspect some Native American cultures don't refer to their tricksters as tricksters but instead as "Holy Tricksters".
The self righteous, narrow minded, and ignorant are in and expressed by us all, something we all tend to be blind to due to the limitations of our perception. Then enter the troll, the ENTP, the Holy Trickster to set things right, without destroying or killing anyone.
Satire is a good example of this. A lot of comedians get away with dishing out harsh truths. It can be effective when revealing misuse of power for instance

My boyfriend is ENTP and we debate a lot about deep subjects for hours. He could also debate about everything and it can be tiring. Also I use his natural objectives/no feeling mindset to make decision for him and me (I struggle making decision) and its so great because he knows what s important for me and respects it. A lot of times he says stuff which are very logical and doesnt care about my feelings just because "it makes sense" and then I get cross and I say it because he hurt my values.
They are very inspiring because of the passion they have for innovation about everything as well. It can be tiring as well because they have difficulties focusing and get distracted easily.
Having an ENTP is amazing though :)

My gf is INFP and we have already been together for 5 months , we are very happy together , we do have very different ways of thinking , but being willing to communicate makes things a lot easier even when we dont fully understand how the other thinks/feels, and trying to understand the other more and more too

My best friend is an entp. We often have deep talks and learn from each other's music tastes - for example -. We understand each other really well and we never get bored when we're together. Sometimes, she drains my energy (unstoppable af) but she knows when to stop or when I need some time alone. The best friendship I have ever had. xx
This is wonderful!! Many Infps are drawn to Entps.. but I've found it is very difficult to maintain a romantic relationship with an Entp.. Friends are a better fit for me.. An interesting duo for sure...A lot of passion, a lot of ideas and fun but much more then that is one hell of a bumpy ass road...Lol..

ENTP male here and I used to date an INFP girl and I couldn't agree more. I find INFPs slow, 'flowing' nature to be absolutely infuriating sometimes. I also found that INFPs don't really stand up for their convictions, instead preferring to bottle up their feelings and thoughts, which is again something I disliked.
I also found that I am extremely rational when it comes to my emotions. I can express them, but it's usually a 'deal with it, get over it, move on' type of attitude. Emotionally I'm definitely somewhat cold and unfeeling, and I don't think that really works for INFPs. I literally don't know how to 'feel' with someone. I can empathize and provide potential solutions, but I literally find it impossible (and consider it a complete waste of time/energy) to sit with someone just dwelling on emotions and feelings. I use feelings and emotions as an indicator for something that's wrong, and try to figure out ways to fix it and move on.
What I've noticed is that I'm drawn to other ENTPs and INTJs quite a bit, ENTPs have this 'spark' that I find is very exciting. INTJs are awesome as they are able to call out our BS but still respect us for being able to lead an absolutely chaotic lifestyle, that still somehow seems to work out, which seems to intrigue them.
I am an INFP and my son is ENTP, he is charming and clever but he has too much energy for me, as a mother, I would like him to be more settled and quiet but it is impossible not to love him.
Ne doms in general have such energy!!! I am so mellow most of the time lol so it can be refreshing.
I know, right!? Even if it isn’t expressed, there’s so much going on inside, too.
What ever you do, don’t try to tame his energy, because he will resent you for it. Instead, find him an outlet: sports, home projects, etc..

I don't know whether I actually know any INFPs in real life (I still suck at typing people). But I like the way you present all this stuff. The laughter in your eyes and the way you explain these concepts in an intuitive way always cheers me up when I watch your videos. I'm drawn to the positive energy you radiate and the way you have good ideas with some flesh on their bones. Even a video like this one which I don't see much direct practical application for me at the moment (since I don't know whether I know any INFPs), is interesting to me as you have innovative insights and intriguing concepts and systems I can learn much about. If all INFPs are like you, then I can't wait to get to know some in real life. You seem to genuinely like us ENTPs (even though we can be crazy annoying trolls sometimes) and it's nice to listen to somebody who doesn't want to change who we are. You only want to help us to be who we are but in the best possible way. I'm in a relationship with an ESTJ who does have a heart of gold under his domineering bossiness (and that's why I hang around). But it's kind of tiring to hear from him and other sensors around me how I'm no good and I have to change myself to conform to people around me. Your channel is like an inviting and safe, but challenging place where I can go to to get inspiration for improving myself without having a demand of change forced down my throat. There is no pressure to change so my rebelliousness doesn't get triggered and I can focus on really thinking about the insights you offer and how to profit from them in my own way and in my own tempo. My best friend is an ESTJ. I know what you’re talking about. He’s a really caring dude, but there are layers of rules and behaviors that protect the pain harbored in his inferior Fi.

I am a INFP living with my roommate who is ENTP. And it is soooo challenging, because we rarely know how to communicate with each other in a way that we want to. She wants me to be blunt and I want her to sugar coat and be gentler. This is very helpful.

I took the MBTI test several times and I found I was an INFP. Which made sense. More recently I tested as ENTP. I don't know if it matters anymore. I put God first.
Loved listening to this, your observations are really on point, really hope to see more of these relationship videos between types. One frusturation I've found with ENTP's in my life that you didn't mention is how if I ask a question from them, just kind of expecting a general kind of overview that I don't have to think about too much, the way they answer is often extremely detailed and they keep somehow trying to see if I understand it, not boiling it down to "well its basically just like this and this" like a Te user would be likely to, but somehow expecting that I really want to understand deeply the logic behind it, and it throws me off sometimes. What I really would often prefer is just that broad kind of "the main point is x", but it's also very stimulating other times.
I mean I guess you mentioned that they like to bring incredible clarity I guess we're talking about the same thing.
Yeah. As you said, Ti and Te have different takes on information - Te generally wants it to be actionable and doesn't care as much to go deep. Ti, especially auxiliary, wants to do all that "good parent" nurturing and fostering so it tends to data-dump :P My father in law constantly teaches me with Ti... sometimes the same things over and over lol.
I'm married to an ENTP! Best relationship ever. But I'm not sensitive, and his Fe is well developed. Because my Si is slightly higher I've taken on the "ISxJ" role in the relationship. It makes me feel responsible and I really enjoy it.
It's funny you mention the ENTPs video game decision making because he is a #1 HBG user in Monster Hunter World and him and his friends create metas basically. Hes great at that. Ne-Ti is awesome. I'm also very moment-to-moment decision making and team working based in video games lol.

Ashton Bowerman it’s weird for me as an ENTP, on one hand I’m super indecisive and can kind of take everything everywhere in my head and that could just never end I could keep questioning my answers and nothing is clear, there are pros and cons to every choice BUT if in a situation where a decisive decision needs to be made in the moment I make it and I have no doubt it will pan out. Come to think of it I think that’s a cool plus side to being the dreamer, thinking of all the options and possibilities type, I’m never that fearful about making a wrong choice because there are also a million options for how to course correct after a wrong turn has been made and I’ve already probably thought of tons of them
I'm in a "relationship" with an ENTP... I'm an INFP... and I have no idea how to describe it as anything but... exhausting!!!! EXHAUSTING!!!!! He can be super fun, super intelligent, and yet... so mean and so... so... DUMB!!!!! Like, we've been on and off for 3 years, and I love him so much, but he is the most frustrating person I've ever met!!!! Yes! Push ALL the buttons and then call me a fool for reacting to it.... !!!! Ugh!!! He's so amazing and yet so... yeah... combinded!!!! with my amazing leaves all these opportunities for happiness on this grand scale that it drives me crazy thinking it likely won't ever happen because we can't be on the same page about each other... just philosophical and scientific ideals and concepts... but each other... we suck at that.

Okay, off topic, but your hair looks pretty darn cool, and that's the first thing to catch my eye as soon as the video started. Okay, bye.
This is interesting, as an ENTP who works with an INFP(granted they are in a different department same building), I can definitely see a lot of that. Although for an ENTP I am not really too much of a social extrovert, this probably can be better explained through my enneagram type though. I am a rare sort, an ENTP type 5w4, and in some ways probably appear more like an INTP or INTJ from the outside looking in. If anything, I am usually probably just sitting in my room on the computer watching anime, reading manga, playing video games, writing for the hell of it, or appealing my Fe by watching random TH-cam videoes that show how others feel about different things. I love to talk about what I create in that brain of mine, but I don't usually actively seek it out. Hell right now, I find some fun in messing with and creating a fictional magic system that combines metaphysical ideas within the 8 cognitive functions and their dynamics, some inspiration from Hunter x Hunter's Nen magic system, meanings of color and attributing those to different "elements", then making it not just within people but rather an integral make up of the world by adding some biology and physics to it. It's proving to be complicated, but oh so fun to make. Which funny enough, I actually sent a link to that INFP coworker I mentioned, and it was funny, I got the response, "You're smart as fuck." I was actually taken aback by this, sure I try to find out as much information as possible(probably the 5 in me) through an almost insatiable hunger for it, and I have even referred to myself as an intellectual just for mindset sake, but I don't think I have actually considered myself to be as he put it, smart as fuck. I don't know, I guess its just that because of my nigh insatiable hunger for information and knowledge, it seems like there is just so much out there I don't know yet and want to know, but also know I probably will never know.

...is your gaming friend my husband? 😂😂 I'm an INFP woman married to an ENTP man who plays a lot of "save the tower" games and every time I hear him play Dota2 or whatever, it just boggles me how quickly and naturally he just takes on this leadership role of "Do this, push mid, go here, do that, hey, [username] do this." And he's not saying it to be controlling or take over, he just knows what needs to be done to get the job finished and meet the goal to win.

Yeah my best friend is an ENTP and she doesnt really understand my need for alone time and recharging. Also i feel like she is very detached from her feelings, the lackage of F function is frustrating for me, and also her i can imagine. Its really frustrating how its either that I am the sensitive or annoying one, or that she is the unempathatic cold one. She is the most amazing person and i should probably try to accept the fact that the Feeling function is not nearly as important for me as for her.
No, ENTPs usually get it. That's because ENTPs need a lot of downtime. We like to crawl inside and do our Ti thing. It's a lot of energy to be charming Fe and Ne. Takes a toll. Our problem is not getting subtle hints. You need to HIT US OVER THE HEAD with your boundaries. And we do Fe, so eventually we can respect your feelings. But our blindspot is a strength for you, so we literally can't see it. Sure, we pretend like we 'get it', and just don't care. But it's actually just not on our radar. It's a bit embarrassing. And our Ti gets us very far, so we're already figuring out the world. I'm not gonna defend every ENTP, but the things that come naturally for you take decades for us to even vaguely grasp.
We ENTPs have undergone constant internal mental battles. So what appears as a chaotic show-boat that somehow manages to make it all work at the last second...it's the result of years and years of mental battles with myself, different versions of myself. So INFPs have fantastical world on the mind, so if you think of it in a similar vein....the ENTP has created their own world...but it's a bloody battlefield. Just dozens of versions of myself arguing with myself. Only the strong survive in an ENTP daydream. We are battle tested already. A young ENTP will be VERY quiet and shy. It takes a very long time to become the ENTP people recognize. We are very slow growers.

I was pretty happy with how the video turned out, despite it not being as structured as I would’ve liked.
Two of the ENTPs I know are really insensitive and make jokes at everyones expense. But I also know one who is very kind, although a little creepy... So this has made me think a bit more :)

Grim Song Not just one thing. I worked with one for half a year and then another one for the past 6 years. Calls people names behind their backs ALL the time. When in a mood takes it out on everyone. One thing in particular he said as a secret Santa present my friend should get a life or a boyfriend - my friend over heard and was very upset. Always has witty comebacks immediately after I say something that sounds stupid and so I always have low self esteem around him. This is the one thing I don’t like about Myers Briggs - puts people into boxes and stereotypes when we are all unique. I don’t know any other ENTPs but they could be great for all I know.

He may not be an ENTP. When young I would delight in talking smack to peoples faces, assuming I really didn't like them, which was rare. I think this might be true for most ENTP's, the head on approach.
Behind the back always struck me as a feelers game, not an ENTP's (just talking averages here.). Like feelers can't handle the confrontation.
Regardless though, you deserve to be spoken to with kindness and respect, no matter the circumstances.
Grim Song No I am 100% sure he is an ENTP. He is in a leadership position and I only know him at work so he is definitely just doing it behind people’s back because he would be in serious shit and could lose his job if he did it to people’s faces.

Something that irks me about your video. Your use of the word Chaos...
ENTP's do not create chaos. They create and develop order. Through experimentation comes understanding. Please watch the first video in my ENTP playlist for an elaboration. Just replace the narrators word of "Dragon" with "ENTP" and it should mostly make sense.

I can see that. But that’s Ti that’s creating a lot of the order. Ne is finding the patterns, sure, but to find those patterns it’s gonna play around with the system, no?

It will, but it does not do it randomly. There is an underlying rational hypothesis at work.
It's stress testing theories and combat testing accuracy.
It would be like putting extra gun powder in a cannon. While also being very familiar with cannon use. The cannoneer has an idea about how much further the cannon ball will go once fired. But is not completely certain. It's not chaos via complete ignorance. It's an ordered approach to experimentation.

In addition, before I forget, Ne and Ti are not compartmentalized. It's basically Neuroscience 101. An ENTP will always be using these functions simultaneously and in conjunction with each other. Unless, perhaps if they are brain damaged, although this last point is speculation.

I doubt that. To me it seems like ENTPs essentially swim in chaos which is the essential nature of Ne. Ti usually comes in to combat that chaos internally but it is the Fe that has the crucial role in which others perceive what ENTP is doing which is more often than not jabbing at other people.
"You didn't think of this did you?", "Ah, but you see, what of these other possibilities, they make far more sense.", etc.
Though it could be argued that Ne lead types perceive chaos in circumstances most people don't in which case they could offer better (hypothetically) solutions to problems people already think of as resolved, which could be seen as both introducing chaos by challenging the norm and at the same time establishing new order from the very chaos that is previously introduced.
Not sure if I'm making sense tbh, but to me it makes sense :b
Hmm... I guess I’m a little confused as to what the issue is. I watched the video again and think you’re talking about at around 20:00 when the ENTP is trying to prod the INFP into Ne - something like “Why would you not want to create a bit of chaos?” For INFPs, things are often too still and we need that Ne urge to play with the system so they can understand themselves at a broader, and then deeper, level. To me that sounded like “a bit of chaos” but you’re the word smith :P
Also, are you saying you’ve never done anything to just see what emerges or put others into a confused state where they have to then make order out of it? I can think of many times my father-in-law and another ENTP friend have. Whether it’s starting a mini riot on Discord or starting a mini riot within people as they try to maintain their mental / emotional state. lol
Don’t forget about the times before 20:00 when I said that the goal for ENTPs is, like you said, to make sense of all the possibilities and funnel them into a logical understanding.

me, an infp with scorpio moon, sun & venus in libra & he entp with scorpio moon, sun & venus in aries... we're like total opposites but also the same. It's such an intense relationship, i fall in love every day anew and most importantly the personal growth/healing we both experience is immense. we went through hell first though lol. that's like.. really not an answer to your question but i wanted to answer since we both have strong scorpio energy and taurus and libra share the same ruling planet. also it's nice to see someone else who's into both the personality types and astrology :D
